[IC] Yugioh: The King's Shadow

After they were a few blocks away from the alley Serena stopped and sighed. "Come here Yami...honestly" She pulled his hood down and started to fix his hat, being much closer to him then they have been before. "Watching you try and fix it was driving me mad..."

Ishizu looked at the picture and said "its the name for the messager of the gods...I haven't seen it out of the tomb or the holy scriptures...I don't believe a mortal could have done this"

[Jazz]

Yami stopped suddenly when she told him to come to her only for her but already for them to be close enough that he didnt need to. Seeing her come over to pull his hood down, noticing how she was closer than he expected. He looked away from her while she messed with the hat. "Sorry. With not having worn a hat before and with how my hair is, it feels weird." He told her truthfully, not being able to look her in the eye. It felt a little odd and could feel his cheeks heat up.

Malik looked to Ishizu with surprise. "Thoth?" He asked, wondering if that was who she meant, looking to the picture again he looked thoughtful. "Think this could be a Divine's work? Why would they do it?"

Serena smirked and said "Relax, Yami...we won;t have to stay hidden much longer...just a few more places to check..." Then she stopped, her eyes moved to the area around them. "Yami...did it just get cold to you?"

Ishizu suddenly said "Because they need their knight to do their work...our king is what they are looking for. We must warn him. Yami is who that message was for"

[Jazz]

Nodding, seeing how she was done messing his hair and beanie, he looked around like she had, having noticed the temperature drop too. "Indeed. rather unusual. We may want to move.

Marik nodded, though looked concerned. "That might be a good idea sis. you want me to call him for you?"

She nodded and said "Its not the shadow realm...its different kind of power..." She turned around then the whole alley was full of light and Serena cried out. "Yami! I think some one wants a word with us!"

She nodded and said "You better...I fear we may be too late to help them..."

[Jazz]

The former Pharaoh noticed a brightness that he had not turned to look to till Serena had called out, wincing, his crimson orbs stung from the brightness that the light held, he tried to peer through it, wondering what emitted such light. "Who goes there!" Yami called out, his hands trying to shield his eyes the best they could.

Marik nodded. "Alright." Pulling out his cell, he began the call to get ahold of Yami,

Serena reached for her staff on her back when she suddenly felt light headed and she fell to her knees. "Yami...I can't...I breath..." A voice rang out and said "The gods need a word, Pharaoh...they are in need of your action and wisdom..." Serena fought to breath, the energy getting too intense for her, even with her own powers

Yugi walked over, looking worried. "Is the call going thru? I don't like this...something doesn't feel right"

[Jazz]

Yami looked back to Serena when she fell to her knees, he took a step to turn to her and help, but only to be stopped when he heard a voice ring out and call to him. He looked to the light and the voice before looking back to Serena who was in great pain. "Whatever the gods may need, I must ask you to stop what harm you are placing on my friend. You are hurting her." He told the voice with a stern voice. He never took to one harming his friends lightly.

Marik looked to Yugi only to shake his head. "I am getting nothing. Only that the number is unavailable." He told Yugi. Joey looked worried. "What are we gonna do." "You think maybe the gods found another way to contact the pharaoh?" Marik asked Ishizu.

The voice said "I fear it is not by choice. Our power can not be taken by many souls. The guardian in this form can not handle the energy we release" Serena was panting as she said "I'll be fine...just hurry...Yami..."

She said "if he is near that mark, they can use it like a phone call

[Jazz]

Yami looked to Serena upon hearing the voice's words. He nodded once, looking to the light. "Then I wish to know who you are and what it is that the Gods want of me." He asked of the light.

Marik looked to his sister. "How can will we do that sister? What if he is not near it?"

A huge hawk appeared and Serena coughed again and muttered weakly "its the messager of the gods...the hawk of the light..." She coughed again and the hawk said "This is my hidden form...the gods need your aid in stopping an all out war. Two brothers fight for the earthly plain...and the other gods who have not picked sides free the worse will come to pass..."

Ishizu said "Maybe...we could use the link between the power of two common souls..." She looked over at Yugi and yugi said "I can try..."

[Jazz]

With the appearance of the huge Hawk, Yami managed to adjust to a light as he heard Serena's knowledge. Hearing the God's message, he nodded. "We are aware of the upcoming war and are looking for a way to stop this as well. Mainly to stop Apep from capturing the King of Shadows and finding what he called my heart. He wishes to control me to take over this world." He told the God. "Saying I am not complete."

Marik watched Yugi. "I see. For this to Work Yugi, you must clear your mind. Think though only of the Pharaoh. Ishizu and I can link you." He said, coming over to Yugi and taking his hand and Ishizu's. "It will not hurt. It is the same for how you two talked to each other back then."

The hawk tilted his head and said "Apep was always rash...the king of Shadows is not hard to find for you, King of old....he has been at your side since you took the throne...only recently returned to your side...and your heart is just as close. It's a secret hidden in the memories still lost to you...the goddess you seek is a way to find those answers..."

Yugi nodded and closed his eyes, trying to clear his mind while Ishizu worked to summon the power needed.

[Jazz]

Yami tilted his head all the same as the hawk. The King of Old....Been with me ever since I took the throne. Only recently returned to my side. My heart just as close. He thought upon this. It seemed he needed his further lost memories to understand. "I see. How can we find the goddess Hathor? Is there any other way to find her other than to find her blessed?" He asked next.

Marik too closed his eyes, also summoning the power needed to contact the pharaoh. The eye of Horus appeared on Yugi's forehead once the power was summoned. The faint image of Yugi appeared next to Yami, a feel of Deja vu. Yami noticed this faint and familiar presence looking behind him slightly to see the transparent figure of Yugi. "Yugi?" He questioned. "What are-How did you?" He asked with a surprise. He would no idea if the boy could see Messenger God.

The hawk flexed his wings and said "There maybe an easier way...a blessed is always drawn to the same things as the god is...its why they are chosen...Hathor in her love form always looks for happy people who are with the people they love...in her war side she goes to places that have battle and fighting for honor...if you find a place that has both of those things..." Serena suddenly coughed and said "Yami...I do...there's a dueling club that one of the gaming companies started. Its a club for dueling pairs...the matches are always two on two...it could be our best shot...to start looking..."

Yugi opened his eyes and looked around. "Yami, we got worried when we...whoa" The hawk bowed its head and said "Greetings, soul seeker...I fear I caused that concern...Our time is running short Pharaoh. If I keep this link much longer I could open another gateway..."

[Jazz]

Yami looked back from Yugi to the Hawk when he referred to Hathor and how to find her. With the information Serena gave that would help, He nodded. Though hearing Yugi's amazement on seeing Thoth, or at least his true form, he couldn't help but smile a little. This was first time he got to see an actual Egyptian god. Sadly hearing about how the god keeping this link could open another gateway. Yami bowed before the god. I understand. "Please do not hesitate to seek me out again." Yami informed the god. He turned to Serena and Yugi. Walking over to Serena and kneeling beside her once the God and left. "Are you alright?" He asked. Looking to Yugi before he got his answer. "I am sorry my friend. If you tried to call in some fashion I could not hear it. Is something the matter?" He asked.

The hawk bowed his head and said "good luck my king and guardian...and wish the king of shadows well...as well as Hathor" then he vanished, the taking the light with him. Serena coughed and felt light headed. When Yami came to her she leaned against his shoulder, breathing hard. "I'm okay...just dizzy..." Yugi smiled and said "we were just worried when we saw the image you sent...are you okay now?"

[Jazz]

Yami smiled back to his partner. "Yes. We are alright. After we saw the that image, that was when the messenger appeared not long after. He was asking for my help. To stop this war that is to take place between the two brothers. It seems only some will take sides. The rest fear for the world. Hathor seems to indeed have the power to help us and we have a way to find her." The pharaoh explained. He had his attention toward Serena. "When and where is this dueling club?" He asked her.

Yugi smiled then vanished as Serena fought to sit up. "Its downtown nearby Duke's place...runs on the weekends and specials...it used to be a main hang out for me..." She looked at Yami and said "Well...this changes things. Thoughts?"

Yugi stumbled back and the room span around him. Ishizu moved back and felt light headed but was fine. "I'm surprised that worked...Yugi?" Yugi swayed on his feet, his eyes out of focus.

Yami felt the presence of his friend vanish for he guessed that he was satisfied that they were alright. Yami helped her sit up as she explained what it where and when this event happens. When asked what his thoughts were, he looked thoughtful. "It would seem that we will need to pay a visit to this place on the weekend, see what it holds within. Once there we will see if Hathor's blessed is within and hopefully, be able to ask for Hathor's help. I would say for now we go back and see what the other's have found. I say we take a break, regain our strength," he told her and hoping she would take a break as well.

Marik moved back a little lightheaded as Ishizu was, however when Marik started to stumble it was Odion who caught him. "Master Marik?" Odion was concerned. "I'm fine. It's Yugi who I am concerned about." Marik looked toward the young duelist. "Yugi?" Tristen had come over and rested his hands on the young teen's shoulders to keep him grounded and not falling over. "Yugi? You okay?"
