Yami smiled and gave a nod. He meant all of it. He looks toward Serena and Ishizu and nods. "That is true." Especially when Joey and Seto has dealt with Shadow Magic about as much as they have.

Joey shakes his head. "Haven't seen her. But knowing her and Duelin' we might see her at the Duelin' club."

Raph nodded and said “hope she’s alright…” Serena clapped her hands and said “I’m going to check on Drake…you guys hang out here I won’t be long” she got up and walked to the door, seeming fine but Yugi saw her eyes. He said softly “Yami..she shouldn’t go alone”

[Jazz]

Yami nodded, understanding the situation. He had a feeling she wasn't alright either. Yami follows Serena out of the room and next door where Drake was suppose to be.

He found her just outside Drakes door, her hand hovering over the handle and trying to force herself to grab it. She sensed him and said “I can’t do it…I don’t know why…”

[Jazz]

Yami went and stood beside her. "You don't want to see him in the state he's in do you?" He asks, wondering what why she maybe hesitating. He brings his hand to hold hers, willing to give whatever support she needs.

Serena swallowed and said “I can’t bare to see him in this state because of me…this is my fault…”

[Jazz]

Yami tilted his head not understanding. "How is it your fault? It was the Brotherhood that did this to him." He stated. Yami didn't see this as her fault but would see how. He did the same thing. But he had come to realize that his friends would always be there and them getting into his mess would not be his fault. It was those who hurt them.

Serena said “they used his love for me against him…he always saw me as a younger sister…he has always been protective of me…he and Aaron are best friends…have been most of my life…if I had been here sooner or…something…I could have stopped all of this…spared him all this pain and guilt…”

[Jazz]

He understands her pain he felt that for Yugi. What Yugi had done for him. This was a pain he hated to see. "Serena. You could not have predicted this. Right now all we can do is make sure he finds his way back to you and his loved ones." Yami explains, knowing how worried she was for her friend.

Serena lowered her head, tears rolling down her cheek as she said “his going to hate me now…he has every right to hate me for not seeing…he was in trouble…for thinking he turned on me…how could I think that…how could I not hear his soul screaming…”

[Jazz]

Yami pulls Serena into a hug when she started crying. He rubbed her back to let her vent all she wanted while he listened. "Serena...I do not think he would hate you. If anything he was worried about you. You were at the forefront of his mind. I think if you go in there, he may wake up to see you." Yami explains, hoping to cheer her up a little.

Serena cried silently for a few moments then said “do you…truly think so?” She pulled back a little to see his face.

Yami could only smile. "We will find out once you are ready to enter the room. I will stay here for as long as you wish." He answers. Willing to stay in the hallway if she so wished.

Serena took a deep breath then turned and quickly opened the door. Drake was laying on the bed, wrapped in bandages and had tubes and leads all over him. Serena gasped a little seeing how bad of a state he was in. “Yami…what…did they do to him…”

[Jazz]

Yami followed Serena inside the room when she looked at Drakes form on the bed. "Some of that was possibly from Seto when he was trying to defend you when Drake had been taken over." Yami admits. But this all couldn't have been from Seto. But this couldn't all have been from Seto. So where did the rest of the injuries come from.

Serena walked over and picked up the chart on the bed and started reading. Tears soon filled her eyes as she said “half his ribs are broken…organ damage…dehydrated and malnutrition…arm fractures and leg injuries…concussion and his nose broken…Yami…they used him like a punching bag…they mistreated him so badly…” she lowered the chart, holding her chest as she tried not to sob out loud. It wasn’t a wonder now why he was in a coma. It was a miracle he was alive to begin with.

Yami was listening to her read the chart aloud and could hear the change in her voice as she read it. He walked over to her by the time as she held her chest, grabbed the chart from her gently before he enveloped her in a hug and hugged her tight. "Shhhh....its going to be okay...he will be alright....let it out Serena." He coaxed softly.

Serena cried out into his shoulder, shaking as she held onto his shirt. She broke down in his arms, her shoulders shaking as her sobs came from her heart. One of her best friends, a brother in many ways, laying there like a pawn being discarded.

Yugi was at the door listening and sighed hearing her cry. Then steps and a voice said “I take it Serena’s in there?” Yugi turned to see Adam, holding a computer bag and coffee. “I came to work here…wasn’t sure if you guys would be still here…” yugi looked at him fully and said “you knew how bad he really was…” Adam nodded and walked to the door “I did…I didn’t want her to know yet…she wouldn’t have slept last night just like I barely did if she knew how bad he really was…I’m almost thankful now those monsters didn’t get Aaron’s body…”

Yami held onto Serena as she cried. Letting her cry her heart out till she was done. Holding her close, he felt his heart ache for her and how she was feeling, to know a close friend was left like this after getting them back. It honestly made him angry. No doubt she was but sorrow outweighed that anger. For now comforting Serena was all that mattered.

The door opened and Adam walked in, sighing seeing Serena. He looked to Yami and said “I’ll stay with him for now…why don’t you guys get back to the others and see what more you can find. Yugi said Mai Valentine is missing? I’ll find her and send you a location”

Serena shook against Yami, but nodded to Adam’s words.
