[IC] Yugioh: The King's Shadow

Yugi shook his head and said “it’s okay, I understand. Yami has moments too. I get calls from Bakura as well about this kind of thing…” then Yugi saw Cora drop and he moved over to her “Cora? You alright?”

Serena couldn’t hear Yami till he placed a hand on her shoulder and she snapped out of it. She paused then dropped the woman and moved back, breathing hard and looking at her hands. Bane moved and took the evil and ate it, swallowing it whole. Then he said “call if you need me again…” then he vanished.

Mokuba looked at Seto and said “I’m fine…really…I’m more worried about Serena. She looked like you used to…before your first duel with Yugi…like a darkness took over…is she okay?” He looked at his brothers face and said “I’ve seen worse Bro. Really this is nothing compared to the crap we have faced before”

Serena went right out the door, shaking badly. She couldn’t face Yami. Not after what had almost happened. She sped past Marik and the others and looked for a spot she could be alone. She found the alley next to the building and stood in it, shaking as she fought not to lose it. She cried out and hit the wall with her hand, her hand breaking as she cried out and she stumbled back. She was turning into them. Those monsters. What she had almost done.

Seto nodded, understanding what Mokuba was talking about. And he agreed they have but it was something he wanted to make sure Mokuba was Okay. "I dont know. She been through alot in a short amount of time, Mokuba." He then made the calls. So the two could get treated and they could go back and call it a day.

Cora looked to Yugi and smiles. "I'm okay. Just a bit tired. The adrenaline is wearing off." She admits to him.

When he went toward Serena to check in on her, he saw that she was off the stage and running toward the door. "Serena!" He called out for it to not catch her attention. He wasn't sure what was happening but for Serena to burst out the door, the former pharaoh had to catch up to her. "Serena!" Yami runs after her, worried about her mental state and about being alone.

As he rushes out the door passing the trio, Yami could hear her crying and jogged over to see her hold her hand like something was done to it. He then looks toward her hand and tried to tentively take it in one hand as be take off his jacket so he could get it covered. "Serena, you don't have to talk now, but please know I'm hear for you when you need me." He assures her. Anything she needed, he would try to provide.

Yugi nodded and saw Yami run by them and he jumped up, looking worried. “What is going on?”

Mokuba went to help the others and make sure they were okay.

Serena was on her knees when he found her but she pulled her hand back and said “don’t help me. I’m no better than them! I’m a monster. I almost…what I almost did…I can’t…”

[Jazz]

Cora was started by the running, getting up and stumbling a little bit while she was at it. She went toward the alley she'd seen Yami enter and halted. She backed up and was now just peeking around the corner.

Yami's hands stilled for a moment. Contemplating what he should do. He wanted her to know that everything was going to be okay, that he didn't think any different about her. So in making up his mind, Yami walked closer to her cautiously, carefully. Not because she was dangerous, but to show trust. He didn't say a word, knowing actions spoke louder. He continued his slow approach. Kneeling back next to her, gently he goes to grab her wrist to avoid making her hand hurt worse before slowly placing it on his jacket covered hand to wrap her hand up and fingers as straight as possible. Should that succeed, he looks at her with soft red eyes.

Yugi moved behind her and paused to watch and rested a hand on her shoulder.

Serena was crying silently as he took her wrist and wrapped it, then she met his eyes. “I was so angry hearing her words…that’s he didn’t didn’t even care…Aaron…Drake…I’m just…it hurts…”

[Jazz]

Yami sat down on the ground as he wrapped his arms around her and brought her close. Close to where she could sit on his lap. He rubs her back as Serena let's it all out. No doubt she was hurting. How could she not be? Angry, sad, to see if on such a massive scale that at the time her only outlet were the people that hurt them. "I know....it's okay to feel. That just shows how much you care. You weren't able to express your feelings on this matter fully until now. I do not fault you for how you acted. This is why I watched." Yami explained to her.

Cora tilted her head but then moved away to let them talk in private. Sliding her hand in his to guide him away. "Let's let them talk in peace." She told him. Before letting his hand go when they were away from the scene. The ginger looked toward Marik who seemed worried. "It will be okay. They're talking it out now."

Marik nods. "Ah. I hope everything is alright. Joey went outside looking to the trio. "Where's Yami and Serena?" He asks.

Cora points over toward the alley. Joey tries to go but is stopped by Cora. "They're talking about it." She tells him. He seemed confused but then understood and nods.

Serena looked at him and said “you don’t think I’m as bad as them? My bloodlust…I wanted to make her suffer…to feel the same pain I have been feeling for so long…” she buried her face in his chest, shaking badly.

Yugi looked back and said “she’s shaking so much…I think she’s not okay…”

[Jazz]

"I would be lying if I said I hadn't been in your shoes before in a similar situation." He admits. Remembering what happened to Yugi and the Seal Oricahlcos. He hugged her close, rubbing her back still.

"Back when Yugi and I were still sharing his body, there was a time I fell to temptation on using a card I shouldn't have called the Seal of Orichalcos. I was despite to win that I was blinded by the power I held in my hands that I gave in. Not having realized why I had done but give in. I shut everyone out unknowingly, including Yugi. I lost the duel. I was prepared to pay for my mistake with my soul to be taken. But Yugi sacrificed himself to save me instead. All at once I felt grief, anger, loss and doubt. I thought myself a monster for giving in and embracing that power. That I failed to protect Yugi like I had promised." Yami told her, knowing it was a low point in this life.

"Something must have happened in there to rattle her the way it did then." Cora assumed. Marik nodded. He felt it. It couldn't have been good if felt the auras from here. Marik decided to head back inside and check in with Ishizu.

Serena listened to him and moved back so she could see his face. “How did you over come it? How did you get your heart back from that darkness?”

Yugi watched still and said “Yamis been thru it before…but she stopped before it took her over…that’s something to be proud of…” he turned to Cora and said “let’s see if we can help inside”

Ishizu was talking to Odion softly, looking worried.

"With the support of my friends and some spiritual guidance from the area we were in. I was beat a man named Dartz and get Yugi and others that had lost their souls." Though he wasn't going to tell her that he got punched, though he had felt he deserved his friends wrath at the time.

Marik walked up to Odion and Ishizu, confused. "Is something the matter?"

Cora stretched as she listened to Yugi. So far she felt these guys had seen it all. While she was being introduced to a whole new world. "Alright. Sounds like a plan."

Joey was cleaning up and double checking that no one was in the building but them while Seto was waiting for the car and ambulance.

Serena looked at her hand and said “maybe I deserve the broken hand…I’m not sure I can ever trust myself again with that kind of power…”

Ishizu turned and said “I’m worried about Serena…maybe you should talk to her. It might help”

Yugi nodded and headed back inside to find Joey and said “so what’s going on now?”

[Jazz]

The former Pharaoh shades his head. "It is not wise to try and deny a part of yourself. Control and patience is key. For now, we need to get your hand seen to." He explains. "No one else will see you different. I'm sure they are worried about you."

Marik was confused still. "But Yami is talking to her right now."

Joey looked to the duo before looking about. "Right now we're waiting on the ambulances, Kaiba said they ought to be here soon. I figure to help clean up a little. Not much to do."

Serena looked down again and said “am I even worthy of being your shadow anymore? After that display?”

Ishizu nodded and said “but you understand that rage and fear more then anyone…” Odion nodded and said “yes master Marik, and you overcame it as well”

Yugi nodded and looked around and said “what a mess…this was supposed to be fun not a battle…”

[Jazz]

"Of course you are still worthy to be my shadow. You just need to relearn the power you hold. That I am sure of." Yami assures.

Marik seemed to understand now. He gives a nod of confirmation. "I see what you mean. I'll talk to her. Maybe after we are done here where the air is clearer. I just might bombard her."

"Yeah....this sucks." He says with a sigh. Cora looks apologetic to them both. "I'm sorry you didn't get to have fun."

The ambulance can be heard in the distance and approaching.

Serena looked down again but her shadow moved and suddenly a wolf, normal sized, appeared before them. “I fear I must take the blame for this…as my blessed you channeled my emotions as well as your own…all the blessed will with their gods. My rage hit you without warning when I heard that woman’s words and I couldn’t shield you…I’m sorry my guardian…” The Bane moved and rubbed her cheek with his nose.

Yugi said “it was still a fun duel, and I loved seeing Seto and Joey duel together and the Istars as well. Our duel was great. I just feel bad for Yami and Serena…”

Ishizu smiled and Odion turned to hear the sound and said “let’s get the injured outside”

[Jazz]

Yami looked to the wolf, figuring it to be Bane by how he spoke to Serena. Though he Bane explained was news to him. He smiled softly, seeing him in a way comfort her.

Cora looked back toward the door at the mention of Yami and Serena. She too felt bad for them. Her features softened before she decided to help cleaned. "I do too. It sucks that it had to go bad so quick."

Marik nods, helping get them outside and easier access for the EMTS. Tristen helped them out while Seto was on the phone. He then hangs up with whomever he was on the phone with. "The car is here. Someone sees to go tell Yami and Serena. It's half a block away."

Joey stops cleaning to raise his hand. "I'll go find'em." He jogs off to go find them.

Serena looked at Bane and said softly “wait so that wasn’t all me?” The wolf shook his head and licked her cheek. Serena sighed a said “that helps a little bit…but still I have to get control for both of us…”

Ishizu let the boys help but she moved to Seto and asked “has Adam returned to normal?”

Yugi smiled and nodded “maybe we can cheer them up when we get back…umm, Cora do you want to come?”

[Jazz]

Yami had faith in Serena, knowing she would be able to do this. Hearing the sirens, he heard someone coming into the alley. Once Joey came into view, he relaxed. "Ambulance is here...hey! Is Serena okay? What happen to you hand?" He asks her.

Seto looks to Ishizo as he pulls out his phone. "That's what I'm about to find out." He presses the call button.

Cora looks up and point of herself when she heard Yugi ask her if she wanted to come. "Yeah. I'd love to!" She said excited with a smile.

Serena looked up and Bane was gone. She said “I think I broke my hand…can you both help me up…”

She nodded and said “I hope he is…” the nurse answered and said “Mr Kabia?”

Yugi smiled then looked around and said “does anyone mind?”

Joey came over as Yami situated himself sense he too was on ground, hosts himself up before helping Serena up, having ahold of one arm, holding upper and forearm to support her, Joey doing the same. After that Joey let go. Yami stayed by her side and Joey following.

"I'm calling to check on Adam. The young who was with Drake and collapsed?" Kaiba described.

Marik shook his head as did Tristen. "I don't see why not! The more the merrier! Tristen says.
