Bane laughed and said “don’t worry, Set is used to it. It will be fine. Back to the task at hand…take her to the Ferris wheel. Then I can show you…”

Mokuba looked a little out of it then said “Duke…he got hit…” he looked to the dice master who was still not moving. “We should…get him on the couch…”

Set said “I can’t see into your world. I see auras and that’s it. I figured the ones close to your rage was the target. My apologies for acting too swiftly…took me a while to find you blessed. My shadowed brother is hiding you all very well”

It was unexpected to hear such a sound of laughter coming from Bane but it was good to know he is a good-natured soul. At the mention of the Ferris Wheel, Yami looked toward the ride. It seemed like a good idea and honestly had thought about taking her there. She could then see what the city looked like at night. It was a sight to behold. "Of course. It was within my plans for while we were here." The pharaoh explains. Looking away from the Ferris Wheel, he lands his gaze on Serena and the line.

Marik picked up the Dice Master at the mention of taking him over to the couch and got up, walking over carefully and placing him there. "He'll be okay. but his head may hurt when he wakes up. Do you want to help me while Kaiba sorts some things out with Set?" He asks the younger Kaiba.

Having pinched the bridge of his nose with the explanation that he was given, it felt like more Mombo jumbo that he needed to understand in this crazy world than he wanted to. "Then memorize these auras well within this building. They are not to be harmed even if I am annoyed with them. Those I fight in my duels are where that wrath is to be targeted. I will have no more misunderstandings. Is that clear?" Making sure his expectations were known loud and clear.

Serena was almost to the front and Bane added “she’s a sight to behold in this new life…after he hardships of her past life…she deserves to be happy”

Mokuba blinked hard again and then nodded, still seeming dazed as he moved over to help, his steps a little off. “Ya…what can I do?”

Set chuckled and said “as you wish, blessed…I feel we will get along just fine…I’ll will punish my scouts for their mistake…” Ishizu said “why haven’t you come to us before now? Why bless Seto without telling him?” Set said “Tombkeeper…your aura I know. I can not come to your plain without being summoned, so I send my scouts. When my blessed was captured I sent my scouts to aid the Guardian in finding him…”

He had to agree with Bane on this. Even now, Serena has been through so much. He wanted to give her all he could to make her happy. "Even what she has been through now. I want to give her so much. I want her to have what I was unable to before."

"Well, if you don't mind stirring the pot I have going right now. Are you okay?" Marik asks him, wondering if he should have let Mokuba sit down.

Listening, Seto considered what Set explained and it held considering the circumstances. He goes toward the desk and sighs. "Then I appreciate the assistance." He sits down in the chair and leans on the desk. "So then I am to assume you know what is going on then?" He asks the god, making sure there are no more holes that need to be filled within this interaction.

Bane said “good to hear it. She’s returning. Go have a good time. I’ll make sure nothing ruins the evening” he vanished as Serena appeared with the two funnel cakes. “Shall we?”

Mokuba nodded slightly, his eyes dazed as he said “I can…handle that…” the door opened and Adam stood there. “What’s going on? I heard a crash? Mokuba? You okay kid? You look a little out of it”

Set shadow shook his head. “Indeed. Normally I wouldn’t pick sides for this but it being about Apep and Bane…I needed to. I won’t let history repeat itself. You can summon me now, the card is in your deck. Call on me if you need me. Same with the other gods. But be weary…not all the gods are on your side. But find the fisherman. His next on their list. His been hiding out since the bug and lizard duelists were attacked in front of him. His been looking for the blessed of my sister for days now…” Ishizu said “Joey. Of course, he knows Joey could help”

Yami gave a nod before seeing Serena come back. The pharaoh could only smile seeing her with two funnel cakes. "I'm ready." Walking with her to go play a few games.

Marik looked over to Adam as he came into the kitchen. "Duke and Mokuba got flung across the study. Duke took most of it while Mokuba took a little. I figured he'd be better off over here till Seto got things straightened between him and Set, but I wondering if Mokuba is truly okay."

Seto nodded, realizing what their next move was going to have to be. "Alright. We'll go look for him." He stands up and heads for the kitchen. "I need to go see to Mokuba."

Serena smiled and walked with him handing him his cake and starting to eat hers as she walked.

Adam moved to Mokuba and checked his eyes. “His hurt alright. Must have hit harder than it looked. Was he awake when you found him? And how bad is Duke?”

Set bowed his shadow head. “Then I shall send my scouts to hunt. Blessed battles my blessed” he vanished and Ishizu sighed “his presence…” she held her chest and said “so powerful…how can Seto just stand there with a god…”

Yami took the portion handed to him and munching on it. He was looking at the games when a sudden thought occurred to him on finding a gift to give Serena. Question was what would be like.

Marik was looking worried. "He was awake when I got there. But before hand I wouldn't know. Duke was out cold." Seto got half way to the door when he was listening to Marik and Adam. Stopping, he lowered his head, finally feeling the hurt within of his heart for Mokuba getting hurt. For all he know Mokuba would be disappointed in him. Such a brother Swto was.

Serena looked at him and asked “have you had funnel cake before? I know it’s an American dish, I first had it when I went for a tournament. They put jams on them, syrups, sometimes ice cream. Aaron loved it…” she paused, thinking of her brother. Then she said “he and Adam have sweet tooth’s…”

Adam said “Lucky Duke was thinking fast…he knew Seto couldn’t have gotten to him in time. And it would have been worse if he had been hit instead…” Mokuba said weakly “I’m okay really…hard to focus…I want to see Seto…” he moved to the doorway and Adam moved saying “hold on Mokuba, you should sit down. You might have a concussion if you hit something after Duke was hit”

Yami turned his head to listen to Serena reminisce. He felt for Serena when she thought about Aaron. But it was a good thing. It was good to remember the good times. Yami plucked a small piece as he took a bite and smiled. He then plucked a piece from his and offered it to here though she had her own.

Seto looked up when he saw Mokuba at the edge of the door. He needed to man up and apologize to Mokuba and accept whatever his brother wanted to throw at him for not protecting him. So he began walking up to the kitchen. "Mokuba?" His voice as soft as always for his brother, wondering if he would be willing to talk.

Serena smiled and took the piece, hers a different flavor. She said “do you ever feel like the world just isn’t at the same level? With how the mind works I mean…”

Mokuba looked up and smiled at Seto “hey…did you work things out with Set? Why do you…look so worried?” He side stepped a little. His eyes going out of focus for a moment. Adam cursed and said “Crap he did hit”

Yami went back to taking pieces of his own and nibbling on it having while listening to Serena. "How so? Could you elaborate?" He asks.

Kaiba smiled softly though indeed worried with Mokuba not looking so good. "I did. Let's go to the front room." He suggests, offering his hand to take.

Serena said “every time I am faced with a puzzle or game…it’s almost like it’s too easy? It’s not a change unless it’s duel monsters where it’s always different…”

Mokuba nodded and took his hand, Adam moving to follow just in case. Mokuba said weakly “Duke doesn’t look good Seto…he hit really hard…that god is strong…I…” he suddenly stumbled into Seto, then he stumbled back a few steps and said “why…is everything…sideways…”

Yami believed he understood what Serena was talking about. "Sometimes. Honestly its because games and puzzles have some similar pieces that can make them easy to solve and complete. Though Duel Monsters is like that there are infinite combinations and strategies. Is that what you mean?"

Seto stopped when Mokuba began to stumble and sway. He swayed his brother toward him and caught him, picking him up and carrying him. "I'm sorry Mokuba. I should have known better." There was more he wanted to say. But it all got caught in his throat.

Serena looked at him and said “yes! Like playing chess, it’s easy but other people have such a hard time with it. It’s it just because we are different?”

Mokuba blinked hard at Seto and said weakly “known what? There’s no way you could have seen…it’s why I freaked out…it was behind you…you couldn’t see it…I thought it was coming for you…I thought…you…danger…” he passed out as Adam ran over and checked his head. “Now I see it…good size bump on the side…must have hit the floor when Duke landed and his grip broke…I think it was just delayed…he should be fine. Maybe Cora can help? Yugi shouldn’t…” “I can help…” Yugi was standing at the top of the stairs, looking down at them. “It’s Mokuba…Seto won’t be able to be himself if his brother is in pain. I know that feeling…” he started to come down the stairs slowly, holding the railing. He made it to Seto and said “can you lower him Seto? I can’t reach him with your full height…”

"To some, yes. It's just how our minds work." Yami answers, taking another small nibble of his funnel cake.

Kaiba was debating talking to Cora. Knowing Yugi had pushed himself too far. Before he could get a word in he looked up to see Yugi. As much as Yugi was right he wasn't going to do that to Yugi. He push him before he could actually recover, knowing Mokuba would rip him a new one for it. "Yugi...You haven't fully recovered have you? If I were to let you help Mokuba and you passed out again, Mokuba would surely have our heads." He looks to Cora before sighing. "If you want to help, go wake up Cora. You both can do it." The only compromise he could think of.

Serena nodded and then said “The gods stepping in…have you seen anything like this before?”

Yugi shook his head and said “his wound isn’t as bad as Adam’s. This way you’ll have peace of mind. And Duke will feel better knowing his injury wasn’t wasted. Besides…Cora isn’t part of this yet. She needs time to wrap around this…I don’t want to pull her into more chaos…” he moved and touched Mokubas head and closed his eyes, the red glow appearing again.

Yami shook his head. "I have not. For them to step in I'm sure is a serious matter. I hope nothing bad happens with this war."

Kaiba sighed deeply before having lowered to Yugi's level and letting him help Mokuba. "Don't you dare over do it." Seto grumbles.

Serena nodded as she finished her cake and tossed the wrapping then said “it makes me wonder why they are stepping in when they have never before…”

Yugi smiled softly and said “I’ll try…but I can’t sit by and see him in danger or see your worry for him…” he closed his eyes to focus, finding the injury and working to fix it.

Yami was finishing his when he shrugged to her question. "Maybe due to how damage Apep has been doing in quick succession. Who knows. They don't alway explain why."

Seto watches Yugi carefully, making sure that he listened. He grumbled knowing Yugi spoke truth. So while he watched, he waited.
