[IC] Yugioh: The King's Shadow

Yugi nodded, rubbing his eyes. "Sounds a like a plan...what about Serena? Is she really okay?" Right as he spoke Serena moaned and slowly sat up. "What happened..." She looked around and saw the pair. "Yugi...good morning"

[Jazz]

Yami was about answer when he too looked in Serena's direction, seeing her wake up. Though was a bit surprised that she was awake already. "Goodmorning. You alright? You collapsed. I thought it was due to you not having enough sleep."

[MegaraFoxfire]

Serena looked herself over and said "sorry I scared you...its been happening a lot lately...the professor says it's caused by a memory block...but I'm good now" she got up, still shaky. Yugi frowned and said "you sure Serena? You were in a fight last night..." Serena waved her hand and said "I've been worse..don't worry about me. I'll be fine" she opened the door and said "I smell food, tea must be cooking"

[Jazz]

Yami just watched, though thought what she told them was interesting. Watching her head to the door and open it. He too could smell the food. Picking up Yugi's clothes, he handed them to his look alike. "Go ahead. We will be down in a minute." Yami assured.

Serena nodded and headed down, rubbing her eyes. Yugi looked at Yami and said "you don't remember last night so you?" He looked worries, slipping his clothes on quickly.

[Jazz]

Yami looked to Yugi with some slight confusion. "I remember everything up until I was grabbed by a shadow and pulled into the Shadow Realm. We encountered the lost God Khnum who sensed Kaiba and mainly Duke's in danger and went to protect them." Yami had been changing into some new clothes. White button up, black tight jeans. His accessories staying on. "We talked to him and figured out later that there was a dark god trying to get out. We sought to stop it. Only when you summoned Ra, the darkness started getting stronger and couldn't see Ra's light. Then a shadow grabbed my leg and dragged me in through the Gate to the Shadow Realm. I was unconscious through the rest." Yami explained to Yugi. "Though I thought to be dreaming. It was strange. Dreams I had not had before that seemed they were from my past."

Yugi sat down and said "your past? What did you see?"

Serena was standing by the window holding a cup of tea while the others ate. She was lost in thought, tea watching her. She tapped Seto on the shoulder. "Is she alright?"

[Jazz]

Yami sat down with Yugi after he asked about his dream. "They were a bit of a blur and flashes. How it seemed to play out was of when I was a young boy, maybe about the age of six. I was playing with a young girl about that same age. Happy it seemed. After that there was a fire that must have happened within a year or so. It seemed to have consumed the Palace. But then after I saw what seemed to be when I was recently crowned Pharaoh. On my Throne as a young woman was stood a distance infront of me, the Priests trying to test her when I stopped them and helping her to her feet when she was brought to her knees. That's it." Yami told Yugi about what he saw that seemed to be a dream to him.

Seto had been eating amongst the group who were eating, conversing and eating. Seto stayed quiet as he at times watched Serena stading by the window with a cup in hand. Though once asked from Tea who asked him if she was alright. Seto shrugged. "I wouldn't know. She looks on edge to me."

Yugi listened closely then said "I thought all of your memories returned after the final battle? I wonder why these memories were kept away until now..." Yugi rubbed his head and said "we should talk to marik and his sister...they may know what's going on. And maybe about that staff Serena found in the shadow realm"

Tea nodded and said "from what Yugi told me last night, whatever happened in that cloud made her change her mood around us...she hasn't even called her partner to check in yet"

[Jazz]

Yami smiled when he gave his advice. "I plan to. Hopefully they may clear up these dream I have had. Though I do not remember Serena having a staff. She dropped it when she fell unconscious. When I picked it up it shined and vanished." Yami told him before pulling out his cell to pull Malik's contact number up.

Seto didnt look in Tea's direction but did take in the information she had given. "Interesting. Don't know. Kind of can't assume based on the short time. She has only been here for a good chunk of the night. She may have call him while everyone was asleep."

Yugi nodded and looked at the cell as Yami dialed the number. "Its a been a while since we have seen them. I wonder how they are doing??" (do you want Marik or Ishsu?)

Tea nodded and said "That's a good point...I hope she's alright though...she did save Yami last night from what Yugi said...the fact we weren't there to help them...it scares me that we could have lost both of them and couldn't have done anything..."

Serena felt her pocket buzz for the thousandth time since she left the shadow realm. She knew Adam and the professor would be worried about her but she couldn't come in yet. Not until she had answers. She looked at the staff again, trying to understand the writing on it but still nothing came to her.

Yami remembered the last time he had seen them. He smiled softly. "Well. Only one way to find out." Yami pressed the call button and then speaker. There was no harm letting Yugi hearing in and speaking to them. The call rang a few times before it was answered. "Yami? Long time no talk! How's life in the big city?" A voice came through of which was Marik. Yami smiled. "Life in Domino is well. Yourself?" Marik chuckled. "Doing great. So what's up?" Yami looked over to Yugi for a moment. "I am calling, wondering if you could possibly help me. I have been getting dreams where it seems they are from my past." "Thats sounds serious. How are we meet up somewhere. Discuss this is person? I'll talk to Ishizu but we're home right now. We'll try and take a jet." Marik's tone changed, seemed out of concern. "Alright. Thank you." "No problem. How is Yugi by the way?"

Seto felt a bit uneasy about not being there for something that seemed to outgun them both as well as Serena. "They are big boys. Just be glad they are here. Most likely next time, will be more prepared Have back up." He told her nonchalant.

(What does FTW mean?)

Yugi smiled and said "I'm alright. We had a little problem last night but we will tell you all about it when we see you...Marik? Have you ever heard of some name Serena Shade? She is helping us out with our problem but we don't know a lot about her"

Ishizu looked up from her desk as Marik was on the phone. "Is there anything wrong brother?"

Tea nodded and said "I hope so..." She went back to eating with the others as Serena slipped outside. She pulled out her cell and answered the call.
"I'm alright Adam, you can stop calling me"
"Serena thank goodness. I've been trying to reach you all night!" Serena shook her head as the Professor said "Adam is a little worked up. Are you alright?"
"I'm alright, professor...just a few things came up I needed to handle...but I can't come back in yet. There are a few things I need answers to"
"I understand. I trust your judgement. I am going out of the country for a few days to look into a lead...I trust you will keep Adam updated?"
"Yes professor...I will. I just need a few days to figure things out...some strange things happened last night I need to look into"
"Just keep us in the loop, Serena...and be careful. Get some rest too. You know what happens when you over do it..."
"I will...take care..."

Serena hung up and leaned against the wall, closing her eyes. She was worn out, but she couldn't stop now. If what she saw the night before and when she blacked out had meaning, she had to look into it. And she had a feeling Yami was a big part of it all.

[Jazz]

Marik hummed. "Not that I am aware of. However we can assemble what information we can Unless she is around to where you can see her and get to know her." Marik advised. "Oh. Hang on" Marik lowered the phone and covered the mic half. "It's Yami and Yugi. Seems Yami has been having some strange dreams that seems relate to his past but he is unsure. Thought it would be better to meet with them. Yugi asked if we knew someone by the name of Serena Shade."

Ishizu looked up at Marik and said "The name sounds familiar...I'll ask around while I get a flight set up. We can be there later tonight if that will make them feel better" She started to book the flight for them then sent a message to Odion letting them know of the flight.

Yugi looked at Yami and said "i'll try and get to know her...but it's not easy. She's as closed off as Yami used to be."

[Jazz]

Yami looked over to Yugi as he explained about trying to get to know Serena only to hear Yugi talk about the former Pharaoh who raised a brow at him and smile a little, leaning over and bumped him a little. "And if I remember right it was a bit hard when we didnt know how to trust each other and hardly knowing my own past." Yami told him with a warm smile.
Marik nodded. "Alright. You're the boss." He then went back to the call. "Ishizu is planning a trip today, should be in Domino tonight. Maybe meet each other tomorrow?" Yami nodded. "Sounds like I plan. See you soon." "You too Yami." And they both hung up.

Yugi smiled and said "it will be nice to see them, I hope they can help you and maybe shed some light on what's going on" the door opened and Tea poked her head in. "You guys, the food is getting cold...and Serena is outside and looks pretty tense. You guys better come down"

Serena was leaning against the house wall, looking up at the sky. She was getting a strange feeling and she was getting more nervous about it

[Jazz]

Yami smiled to Yugi, hearing his optimism. "Hopefully." He looked to the door of which opened to revealed Tea who told them about breakfast of which he nearly forgot about and what seemed to be Tea's concern about Serena. Yami stood up. "Thank you Tea. We're all tense right now I am sure." He then looked to Yugi. "Mind if we talk to her together?" Yami asked.

Yugi nodded and said "good idea, I didn't get a chance to thank her for her help last night...and I want to see how Duke is feeling this morning"

Serena was sitting under the tree in the back yard, her eyes closed. She was trying to see if she could sense anything but nothing was comi to her. She sighed, rubbing her temples. "Last night I had so much strength...where did it all go?"'

[Jazz]

Yami nodded, heading out of the room and down stairs to go see Serena, grabbing a glass of orange juice before heading to the back door of which he looked through and found her before going outside and shutting the door. He then walked over toward Serena. "You alright? My friends are concerned about you." He then sat next to her and took a drink of the orange juice.
