@The Fated Fallen, Well, basically, my thoughts were that he managed to gain a lot of prestige in Waldenshore, then (this requires @ArenaSnow's permission) met an Angel, or rather, made it look as though he met an Angel. He then used his newfound knowledge of the Divine to persuade Giray's five major religious Millets to endorse him in his attempts to replace the Girayid Mamlukes and Slave-Bureaucrats with an establishment drawn from the Religious and Racial Millets themselves.

So ultimately, I'm looking at this like star wars. This rp was the prequel series, and the next part is ... somewhere in the future. Based on what everyone has voiced, 25 years sounds fine.

Over the holiday break, @ArenaSnow and I will hash out the details of how this saga would've concluded and what draws our new cast into a new adventure. I agree with it being in a different setting. So if anyone has ideas for world building, now would be the time to present them. Whether or not we can use them, we won't know until we've both had a chance to read and discuss them.

@Letter Bee in the end, I would suspect that all the heroes that defeated however the last chapter ended, would be celebrated as heroes of Silver Lily Isle. Again, this is all going to depend on how we choose to end this. Giray was your world that you created. If you wish to change anything about it, now would be the best time. The idea of Ioannes overtaking his home town. I'm not opposed to it, but I would like to see a sound plan as to how that would've come to pass. As Fated had asked - did it involve any other cast members? Etc. To me, it is a world that you created, and part of the back story for your character. Unless Ioannes died, or the heroes lost their fight against the dark forces, there is no reason you shouldn't be able to edit it how you see fit. So present to us an idea, and we'll see if we can work it out into the scope of things.

@HHShetland and to any newcomers into this rp. My feelings towards the type of character you were going to create still stand. I've turned two people away already that wanted to play a dragon or something along those lines. I do not feel that something like that would fit into this rp.

All playable races must be humanoid, and if not from the approved list in the first post of the ooc, then they must be approved by Arena or I. We may accept an angel or demon, or somewhere in between, but that is on a case by case basis, a full cs must be drawn up, and permission/acceptance must specifically be given by @ArenaSnow. (Think of Diablo when thinking of your angels and demons)

All that I ask for any future characters, is that you remember a bit of realism. Yes, this is a fantasy world, but think of this more as a d&d expedition instead of trip to Neverland. And on the other hand, if your character is stick skinny, short, and strength is not their strong suit, it isn't realistic to see them carrying so many weapons that could supply a full army. I ask for 3 skills and will limit it to that, so as to keep track of your characters abilities and to moderate battles.

I HATE power builds. Please do not make one. It's great to have a bad ass character, it's greater when the cast are not all bad ass characters. Please save your "greatest character ever, cannot be hit/wounded, powerful in all aspects god" character for another rp.

Otherwise, if you can back up your character with a solid cs, we'll most likely accept it.

In terms of post availability - I'd say that was a big factor in killing this rp, for me and several others. I myself may only be able to post once a day... if that. At the very least, I can post 2 or 3 times a week. Maybe even 4 on occasion. I hope that schedules will clear up for people after the holidays, but if you can't post as frequently as 3 times a week, then I'm not sure this will be a fit for you. Ultimately I don't want to see what happened last time happen again. People would have to wait a week and a half for a post, and it wasn't just from one person. We'd have no activity at all in the ic for a week, sometimes more.

If you have writers block and don't know what to write, ask. We're more than happy to help you out. If you're not motivated, send me a pm. But if anyone takes longer than a week to post, and doesn't pm me, the story will just move on. I understand, people have rl obligations, and as always, shit happens. I get that. Just communicate that to me, and we'll be fine.

I hope these are all reasonable and logical requests. Please note, while I look for logic in a lot of things, I am not a Vulcan, perhaps though half Klingon :p

I opt for creating a new thread once Arena and I have everything sorted out. When we have that up, character sheets of those participating will transfer there. For now, any new characters, any new players may apply here with a cs.

As a gm, I feel I should be transparent with all of you. My typical schedule is Tuesday Wednesday and Friday, early in the mornings before work, and perhaps for an hour after work. All other days during the week, I may be able to have something up during my lunch break, but I can't make any promises. And of course, if my boss isn't in the office, I have a bit more range. I work Mon-Fri, 9a-6p. And when I get home, well, I'm usually not attached to my phone. It's a house rule between the hubby and I. I cassually pop in to check for pm's or notifications, if anyone has any questions or needs help with something, things like that. If I'm not around, there are several others who can help.

I know I didn't cover everything, there is another issue that needed to be addressed, I just can't think of it. Sorry. But if anyone has any questions, concerns, comments, complaints, please voice them. If you hate me, I understand :p

@Belwicket I am open to discussing anything. Though I'm not sure if Regina would be her type... but as I don't know too much about Regina in that way, I can't say this with absolute certainty. I do prefer an organic evolution of relationships, but we can discuss it and see where we end up.

I also think that any actual relationship would scare her shitless :p she's been betrayed too many times to let anyone in.

Common sense is pretty much the limit, as well as what is "reasonable".

Magic to the extents an experienced mage would use I think is the most solid limit (unless IcePezz has something more concrete). Specialized magics can be more powerful than someone who is a master of all trades. A character can't wipe something big out in a quick exchange, it won't meet the individual powers of a high level demon (although united is another story)... make the character and see how well you think said char would pair up with another PC. If you think the exchange would undoubtedly result in the other character getting beaten every time, the character is OP... but if there's an even chance, the result should be a fairly rounded character.

If you're going for an angel/demon... the limit on magic is higher, but the weaknesses grow in other ways.

I could probably give you more clear limits if I knew what you were aiming for. Magic abilities are pretty broad in this RP.

Perhaps that was a poor choice of words. To summarise, I've basically realised my dogged stubbornness in trying to defy the established race conventions, knowing perfectly well that it's not necessary for making interesting characters, as Harbinger has told me. I don't need to make something new for every RP I join. Besides, my original idea was directionless; if it wasn't before, it is now. I can come up with better ideas that better suit the tone of this RP.

I personally tend to like simple. I think simple is always the best way to go, because it's usually the easiest way to add depth and keep consistent. And I've never heard the term faff before :p

And god knows I tend to use the same, boring character concept for nearly every rp I join. :p Sure I've got a few different backgrounds and descriptions that I rotate, but they're all usually of similar style.

Oh, and 'faff' is a British slang term. It's defined as 'An unnecessary or over-complicated task, especially one perceived as a waste of time.' The idea being that it would have been a waste of time for me to overcomplicate things by adding new races.

It is a much appreciate thing to be regarded so highly as to be called "wise", so thank you for doing so. Yet, in all truth on the matter, the races are fairly open and the classes as well as abilities much more so; with the correct tinkering and finesse, you could get what you are looking for, at least the core tenants thereof.

As for me? I am greatly debating on playing two radically different archetypes, or combining them down to one.
