I'd guess a demigod is half (maybe even less) as powerful as a god. A god should gift Ialu with his essence in order for the mortal to raise to demigodhood, this would naturally require some might. It really doesn't make sense for a mortal to become a demigod without an actual god's help.

Yeah, agreed with Frettzo. Seeing as Ialu is now close with Vestec, I'd say that Vestec would probably have a part in causing him to ascend. In fact, as you want Ialu to become a god of avarice, I'd say Vestec is a vital component.

Perhaps a god gifting a mortal with his blood would cause them to become a demigod, and gifting a mortal with essence causes them to become a full-fledged god? With the limitation being that the mortal must be extremely powerful already, or they would simply be destroyed.

You know, considering how the humans and stuff are so busy, and the heroes are leveling up, I don't think the gods and goddesses would exactly be staying idle.

What did we decide we would do about that little detail again?

I had thought that I'd let Vestec have a big role and his corruption be the driving force that gives Ialu envy and makes him evil rather than neutral, but I wasn't going to have him be the only reason. I suppose I'll just figure this all out as I go along.

But anyways, I was asking,

So how does being a demigod work? Nobody has done it yet. I know that Ialu will get a portfolio, but what about levels and might?

I'm not asking you to elaborate the demigod section like you did the hero one (though that would be helpful), I just mainly want to know how Might will work and if demigods level like gods and heroes. And if demigods do level, how does that carry over when they become gods? I remember you saying that when a demigod achieves full godhood they could be more powerful than some of the existing gods. Granted, that was when some gods were still level 2 and 3, but you gave me the impression that a demigod doesn't just turn into a level 1 god.

*shrug*

Undasis has been sinking islands and making Merpeople during the timeskip. Vestec was spying on Ialu and having some fun.

It's not as if they've all been just sitting around.

Thirty years is not too long for the gods. 'Busy' for the gods is creating the universe and Galbar over billions of human years. But, it wouldn't do to have Heroes going about doing what they like without divine intervention. So get intervening! Ferghus should definitely have some kind of forge on Arguilla so that mortals can have access to his services

Little Announcement On Heroes et Civilisations

1) The higher your level, the harsher the grading of your posts. Thus, not only is it more difficult to level up for high level Heroes due to higher Khookie requirements, but they will also get less Khookies per post than lower level Heroes
2) Time-skips will have less of an effect on Hero leveling the higher the level of a Hero. A high level Hero (e.g Level 40) may only gain one level in a thousand year time skip, or none at all in less. A mid-level Hero (e.g. Level 20) may get 3-4 levels in a thousand year time-skip. A low mid-level Hero (e.g. Level 15-19) may get up to 10 levels in a hundred year time-skip. Lower level Heroes (Level 1-14) may get up to 20 levels in a time skip of reasonable length (20 years and over)
3) For the moment, technological advancement will slow and there will be more of a focus on the development and growth of the various civilisations currently in existence (growth of nations, conflicts, godly politics etc.)
For current technologies, see the first post (and assume that any basic technologies not listed also exist)

@Cyclone I'll build up the demigod section soon ;) basically, as a Level 10 Hero would ascend to a Level 1 demigod. As a Level 28 Hero you'd probably ascend to a level 3 demigod (rounded up from 2.8).
You choose a domain and a portfolio, and you will receive Might, and you will grow and level much as a god does. Demigods are, however, very different from gods and I will try to have an OP explanation up in the next 16 hours.

Note: No, a level 1 demigod is not on the same power level as a level 10 Hero. Level 10 Heroes are weaklings.

One more question: how populated is Galbar? Ialu's village on the hill has something like 300 people in it, and I'm wondering how that would weight up compared to other settlements.

Considering Uri already possess a kingdom, I'd say about 1,000/2,000. 30 years is not a lot of time, lol.

I shall make Zerabil "accidentally" stab himself with the Morning Blade! It was not a gift, it was a curse!

Also, I think I may make some Mer who live in rivers and lakes, meaning that humans will occasionally meet them. That should be interesting.
Our hero Aestus will be of that variety.

Besides, this will serve as a great way to eventually add "rivers/lakes" as a portfolio. I need to spend three might before something can be a domain, right? If I spent like 6 might making a river a holy site, would that count towards it?

Of course you can, but all the slots for Gods are taken.

You'll need to start off as a demigod, and work your way up to being a real god. There's one guy, Cyclone, already doing a similar thing.

ARGH! Kindness, my worst mortal enemy!

Alright, in seriousness, the rule makes sense. Just know that all my posts will, from now on, be exactly 5000 characters.

Well, time to get to work on making the forge, and possibly other things.

My followers and/or disbelievers gotta get a message from the forge master, after all.
