Also, if the dragon is a bad parent, dragons are mostly solitary beings. They are innately self tough, intelligent, cunning and strong, and their endurance is immensely more than all mortals. He also provides for them very unusually well, for someone who tends to only sleep. Sauranath didn't know why he should look out for a magical tree that does what the Sun is supposed to do for the world down below.

I gotta ask, why did Sauranath burn down the tree to begin with? It wasn't hurting his dragons or aiding in their destruction. Does he just hate light?

From Act's explanation so far, I am led to believe he burned it down because he's too new on the planet to know not to burn it down.

Righto, you may post your Character Sheet in the thread and feel free to begin posting ;)
You shall begin as a Level 1 Demigod with 4 Might
If you have not already, make sure you read ALL of the Opening Post (including the bits on god mechanics as they are relevant for demigods too)

*Salutes smartly* Aye aye sir.

Hmmm...what do y'all think of a crystalline entity that is somewhat alive? They wouldn't really be a "race", but they would be semi-sentient and capable of telepathic communication through touch.
They would not have armies, heroes, technology, or be capable of being taught anything. They would even be able to walk.

I'm thinking they would be some source of wisdom and spiritual respite. People travel to meditate with the creatures, and perhaps gain a bit of their great wisdom. They grow mostly in hidden caves and deep lakes.

Secret race without much capability of intelligence or development? They'd be good friends for the outsiders.

What if your soon-to-be best friend Ialu smashed one?

That would be hard, since they are made of crystal.

But neither Undasis nor the crystals wouldn't care much. These beings will only value wisdom and spiritual-understanding. As long as you do not somehow take that from them, they should not care if they die. All it means to them is that they will finally see the spirit-world (Escre's Astral Home) with their own eyes, which they have probably longed for their entire existence.

I doubt it would even bother defending itself. Sorta like Orabil, it would just call you an unwise fool and then accept it's fate.

Hmm...I guess you could just say that they're like a ton of mini-Orabils, but they would have greater emotions and would be a little more active. If you approached them, they would certainly speak to you and- if asked- impart some of their wisdom and spirit.

These mini Orabils seem nice enough. Astarte would approve, if only for the purpose of them changing the lives of people.

Oh. Well, maybe the Strong Tribe can put them to good use by using the shattered crystal-people as spearheads instead of dragon teeth =P

I think that's the one fate they may not be alright with. THEY ARE TOOLS OF KNOWLEDGE, YOU FOOL, NOT WAR!

Ialu's people seem blindly loyal to Ialu. Wonder what would happen if someone made an exact copy of Ialu and manipulated this copy into starting a civil war within the Strong Tribe. Who would win in a Ialu vs Ialu?

I think they'd have to determine which was the real Ialu by smashing them both over the head with rocks and setting them on fire.

I'm not sure the point you're trying to make, or if you are being sarcastic or serious. Would you elaborate, please?

Er, it's more satirical than anything, using vague humor to make a real point. Basically, if you make something nice, people will mess with it, so why be surprised or angry?

Ah, yes. I wouldn't be upset, it's gonna happen no matter what one does. You could create a race of walking poop and someone would eventually screw with them.

I'm already imagining what Vestec might do to the crystals, twisting them into some sort of telepathic manipulators (because they still can't move) that basically mentally force others into service, something the non-corrupted could possibly do but would never even try.

I'm cool with the crystal guys, anyway. They remind me a little bit of Gossip Stones from Legend of Zelda.
