Hey, Jack Frost has joined us!

Great post, jetipster, very poetic-sounding

Was going to use that as an Alias but thought it was too cliché. Maybe it'll catch on anyway.

And thanks! I kinda wanted to go kind of biblical-esque without all the IN THE BEGINNING... so glad it did come across poetic.

You're just making my freakin' awesome day even better!

So, I think some of us may be thinking, if the gods can't even create living creatures, how the the hell are they going to create an entire universe? Even if they combine their power.
The simple answer is, they can't, really. Not on their own at least. They have the required centerpiece, a god of creation and time who can channel power into the form necessary to create a 'big bang' effect but the raw power is not available. But there is more at play here than just simply a new world and some gods, there is Fate at play, and a new universe must come about. It is Invictus and Fate who will supply the power for the creation, and the gods must all add their own power to it. Each god, upon adding their power, gives the eventual 'big bang' something unique; Vestec may add something of an inherent chaotic element to the universe yet to be born, but, perhaps, a god like Alexavier may ensure that the chaos operates within a greater, ordered and hormonal whole and so on.

The process of adding one's power consumes 1 Might if a god is level 2, but consumes 4 Might if is a god is level 1. Unless the level 1 god levels up before they give their energy, the strain of either giving their energy or the 'big bang' itself will force them to level up automatically.

(hence, BIG bang). And it will be a bang (hence big BANG). Huge and noisy is the way gods like it xP

The stage is now open for questions and answers.

When you say "The 'big bang' experience may well be different for each god, but one defining feature of it is that it will be BIG" do you mean that we all see and hear separate things with a few similarities, like in the first turn (ex. All except Act's Char heard Invictus say "You are become", but we all heard something different following that)? Or do you mean that we will all hear and see the same things, but interpret them differently emotionally?

Am I making sense? I'm not so sure.

@jetipster That's a damn good post, there's nothing like seeing how another god sees your character. His creation was rather different - and arguably, from that post, he was the first xP stealing my spot, you little!

@Hael It means that the very experience of the 'big bang' will be different. This is as much a physical 'creation' as it is a spiritual, ethereal, intangible one. This isn't just the beginning of the universe as a physical 'thing', this is the coming into existence of infinite timelines and futures, lives, orders, seasons, chaoses and so on. A god like Vowzra, for instance, may find it to be an awe-inspiring, overpowering thing, he may be carried off, mentally, into a thousand futures and see a thousand flashes of lives that could be. One like Escre may suddenly sense all the lives that will ever be within him, Vestec may be engulfed by all the powers chaos can muster and so on. It may create an epiphanical experience. On the other hand, it may be purely physical, perhaps the raw power and ear-piercing sound of may drive a god to near madness, it may fill them with joy to know that this is of their doing, they may be filled with unexplainable terror and so on.

Edit: Arguably, we have all seen the same thing, we've passed through the same event, but each experience could not be more different.

Edit II: Oh, and also, does anyone know any free collab writing sites? I remember there was one I used to use but I've completely forgotten its name

Argh! I was gonna ask you the exact same question, I remember a time you showed me that collab site and said "Say hello to my little friend" and made a pun about doing a "Khollab". I had long forgotten it's name and was gonna ask you for it.

EDIT: @Kho I remember now, the one you showed me was called TitanPad.

Nice, thanks guys. Two years away from collab posts makes you forget these things.

Does my explanation make sense? If there are anymore questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Ya, your explanation made sense. I was thinking of a physical Big Bang strictly like the one many scientist believe in- a large bit of matter suddenly explodes and spreads throughout the entire universe, thus creating everything over trillions of years as it's pieces make planets, stars, and so on- but your explanation helped clear it up.
I started to understand what you meant when you said:

"This isn't just the beginning of the universe as a physical 'thing', this is the coming into existence of infinite timelines and futures, lives, orders, seasons, chaoses and so on."

I'm already imagining what Undasis' will be like, and what he/she will add to the universe when it goes bang.

Thanks.

Kraken is probably gonna force Undasis to level-up to 3 when he realizes everyone is going to level 2. He's determined to stay ahead of all of you for as long as possible.

So much awesomeness happened while I was gone.

Edit: Hael ninja'd me. Alexavier is gonna just stay at he same level Vestec is because he needs to. We can't have a universe of mostly Chaos and expect good things. Now can we?

Well, honestly so will I. I'm gonna be so busy filling the oceans with fish and Kamiv and Merpeople that I'll spend all my might (literally and metaphorically) doing so, and thus will probably fall behind someone like, say, Vestec.

EDIT: We're all depending on Alexaviar and Saron (still waiting on his IC, but he seems to have a hero-type character) to hold back Vestec long enough for us to actually make a world :).

Well Alexavier's name means "Protector of mankind in a bright new house"
so someone has to make mankind and a bright new house then he will become a hero too. =P Really though he will definitely be holding back Vestec at least to a point. There must be Harmony between the amount of Order and Chaos.

Vestec will let you make a world. He'll just begin screwing around and making chaos in it immediately.

Alexavier is gonna just stay at he same level Vestec is because he needs to. We can't have a universe of mostly Chaos and expect good things. Now can we?

So, Vestec can force Alexavier to be unable to do anything to stop, say, Vestec's created army of warlords, by constantly leveling up, because then Order will have to choose between being equal with or stopping Chaos.

If @Ethan Starks hasn't posted by GMT+0 12.00 pm, Thursday 4 June (i.e today), or at least if he has not notified us that he is working on a post before that time, then we will be moving on without him. If he has some kind of explanation thereafter it may be considered, but he will most likely not be able to continue with us as a god if he misses the creation sequence.

Edit: Also, a quick comment on this RP's pace. I haven't set a pace, leaving it to players, and I don't really have a preference so long as there is consistency. Where most players have posted and a minority are holding the RP back, I will move to remedy the situation and see what the issue is. If the general pace is slow but there is a fairly predictable/accepted pace, or players have stated an estimate of when their post will be up, then that is fine.

Disappearing without warning, unless there is a valid excuse, is no good - and while the time waiting can be spent thinking up deep character development and plots, it can also kill passion and excitement for the RP, especially when you think a post could come up any moment and it just drags on without word from the player/s you are waiting upon.

I don't think we should wait. Kho's plan sounds good.

Afterall, he can always just write a mega-long post describing his birth, what he was doing when we were creating the world, and so on. I assume if he has a valid reason for his absence then Kho or Rtron will allow him some leniency

EDIT: WOOOOOOOOOO! THREE-HUNDREDTH POST
