Vestec is just unnaturally charming, especially when he's pink, and Escre can't bring itself to harm him.

Obviously.

More like I'm trying to figure out if Escre can invade Vestec's plane uninvited.

Without Vowzra's help...no.

Even then maybe.

But why not just ask him? Vestec would let him in. :p

Are all creations on one side of Arguillia? Their Dusis, and like @Cyclone mentioned in his post, it empty, for now.

Nop, they're all over, I'd say. But there are bound to be areas where there is very little intelligent life, it is a pretty big continent after all.

Ialu didn't go all the way to the other side, he's still pretty close to the other humans actually. I just figured that given only 10 years a such limited population would be pretty clustered and there would be big patches of wilderness. Ialu is currently in a patch like that safely away from the monsters, but not for long. The ones that didn't follow him will eventually be found, and then it won't be long until Ialu is as well.

But by then he'll have had time to make a village.

Will get working on a post. Will try to have minimal time pass so that you're not left with another couple of years to catch up on.
Everyone should be time-aware in their posts too, at least until Cyclone catches up.

Can I get a list of what's happened in Galbar that relates to humans? There's an infinite winter, there's infinite darkness, there's monster in said darkness, the Cimex have an unhealthy hatred towards humans, the Dyun have an unhealthy hatred towards humans...

Why are the humans not extinct yet?

Escre's outsiders go where humans cluster (like, villages) and lurk nearby to kill monsters and protect the humans. That's probably the only thing saving them, really.

I believe outsiders wouldn't be strong enough to keep the species alive. There's too much shit attacking them by now. The eternal darkness will kill crops and plants, the eternal winter will make sure they stay dead and will freeze people in their beds, and the attackers will make sure the starved, depressed survivors are vanquished. Humanity can't resist more than a year of winter as it is.

Yeah the eternal winter + night thing actually bothers me too. Winter, fine. Humans still could hunt, fish, forage for food buried in snow, etc. But eternal night with monsters appearing everywhere is pretty ridiculous and Escre or somebody should stop it within a few days of it beginning, or else everything is going to go extinct.

I agree with this, a god might have to interfere, sure the Cimex can adapt, but the Uri can't survive without the sun. Darkness and eternal winter are enemies to all.

Undasis doesn't like that land, but he would be willing to aid humanity. He would rather humanity rule the land than the violent Dyun or adaptive Cimex.

Our Sea God may soon step in to save mankind.

Even if they adapt to eat snow, see in the dark, and ignore cold they'd still get killed by the nightmare-monsters that are appearing everywhere to kill literally every intelligent species...

Literally every land-based lifeform would die.

Astarte can probably teach Humanity (and other scrubby sentients xD) how to use magic to illuminate areas with incandescent light and cast both protective spells and enchantments, meant to calm the mind and diminish dark creatures' power. That includes lalu and his people.

Though only the ones who actively practice magic would be able to cast such spells, I imagine many sentients will willingly choose to practice at least that little bit of magic in the current situation.

Wow, so little belief in Mankind in this thread...

Edit: Also...humans are extremely disciplined. They've been meditating and doing all this spirituality bull. They're not going to watch helplessly as mind-generated beasts kill them. If anything, the beasts are no issue for them at all

Wise old man: 'There is no enemy. The foe on the battlefield is merely the manifestation of that which we must overcome. He is doubt, and fear, and despair. Every battle is fought within. Conquer the battlefield that lies inside you, and the enemy disappears like the illusion he is.'

Who would the Cimex fear? Dragons? Ima have to think about that actually.

That's what's going to happen to the Cimex, they don't practice magic, but they may have to at this point. I petition to end eternal everything, darkness, winter. And then imprison Vestec, rip his soul out his body, that way chaos is still in effect, without Vestec. JK JK, *wink, wink*

The monsters, not so much, but crops are basically now non-existent. If the humans don't freeze, they will starve.

As disciplined as humanity is, people fear a lot of things. Fear is something you simply can't get rid of, it's ingrained in your instincts. There will still be monsters of many kinds. People might be able to fight and not be frozen by fear, but lots and lots will die. As of now, Humanity's only a few thousand in numbers. With this, their numbers will go down to mere hundreds, and that's not enough for a viable population, they'll die out.

So, I petition someone to end the Eternal Darkness. The God who does it will earn point of awesomeness with Astarte. Reason she won't do it? It's entertaining to see what it is mortals fear and what they feel when hope is gone.

Yeah, honestly I'm just in favor of the winter going away after maybe a month or so, and the darkness going away as soon as the other gods can stop it. Even if Astarte went above and beyond and personally shielded and lit up every settlement, all the people would still be just sitting around and starving while they waited for the darkness outside to go away.

Edit: I really only want to dedicate one post to Ialu going "WTF, why is it dark and why are scary things chasing me everywhere?!" rather than 3, 4, 5, or however long Vestec would keep it going for if given the choice.
