In fact, I just came up with this whole complex sub plot revolving around why Isolone is a charred, bloodied mess. It's really cool in theory, with an interesting antagonist that will hopefully create conflict within Dust. I hope to keep a lot of it on need to know until the time is right though, since it's fun to make people guess :P.

So what's going to happen to Aeon's character and @themadasshatter? Luckily I won't be in a bind because my character isn't ingrained in the story, but he (and eventually us) are going to run into some trouble down the line.

I'm still here. I suppose I could make an attempt to take control of Alex, even though I'm totally shit with handling more than one character in a single RP, and I'm equally bad at judging a character's behavioral patterns. It might be easier to kill her off somehow, but I feel like that's too easy, and a cop out.

Would be interesting to see what James would do, I must confess. Continue on with her vision? Wander off somewhere? Get involved in all sorts of shenanigans?

But yeah, I'm still thinking about that. He's a bit too neutral to continue with that sort of plan, and he'd probably revert to a withdrawn state after being reminded of being a slave and then having Alex die to follow through anyways, but I'm still thinking about it.

We're going to probably do a pretty big timeskip, which should effectively allow us to continue the story with the current continuity and also make things blank slate-ish enough to appeal to more new people hopefully.

If we're going to kill off Alex, we've got a swarm of monsters heading for Russel city she could be a martyr for. Maybe even become sainted afterwards. Would certainly cause public opinion of Immortals to get even more convoluted.

You mean Day 4? I'm p sure Day 3 is the one we're on right now.

Also, they totally will be, the way Mono and I have it framed is that the battle with the spiders is a legitimate conflict, lasting a several days, resulting in thousands of casualties and injuries and hundreds of thousands of bullets in damage. Of course, we still aren't sure if we want to skip over that when we do the timeskip (if we do the timeskip).

I don't think we're going to kill off Alex though, I mean, @TheMadAsshatter is in her immediate vicinity so I'll leave that to you, but I say keep her alive for when Aeon comes back.

You don't necessarily have to kill her. From what I've read of James' background as well as his various interactions, I think it's plausible that he would leave Alex, be it him feeling any moral obligations now gone since they buried all the deceased, her stories reminding him of a past he wants to forget, or even believing that being around her is bad for his health. Then again considering his occupation, maybe it's better to say the pay off isn't worth the risk. I'm probably not accurately portraying how he'd act and I'm certainly not telling you how your character should be, merely pointing out that your character is complex enough where ditching her isn't an asspull and is probably rational.

Moving forward; I'm going to post a new IC thread at some point in the next few days, if that manages to get any interest at all, Mono and I will probably adapt an OC from the format Aeon uses a little after that.

So for y'all (@Arcanaut) still here who haven't posted, do you want to do that or just wait for the new thread? The time skip will be a year, so you might want to alter your CS's so that you're caught up with everything going on in Dust in 2382. Mono and I have a last collab post, then I guess we can work on something of a timeline? TOGETHER???
