There was another player schedule to join us at Iso, but I haven't heard from him in a bit, not sure if he's rejoining the relaunch.

I'm going to be arriving at Russel after my first post, which is close to completion. If you're okay to wait until tonight, I'll finish my post and we can collab. I'm at work right now, though.

Considering Cyrus and Archie are essentially street performers, I imagine they and Samuel will get along famously.

Alex, for example, spikes the heat gauge up dramatically, by 5's and 10's instead of gradual ticks, for instance. (There is no math involved in this, I'm just approximating to give a picturesque ideal.) So if she throws and enormous arc of lightning and shoots her gauge immediately to 40 heat, it's going to take longer to cool down. If she throws another one, before she is totally recovered, then it spikes up even higher, and so forth.

Nomad's skills are more continual low-burn effects, and so she'd tick up 1 or 2 points a minute in order to maintain her blades, but since she'd also be acting athletically during this time she'd probably be upto 60 after about 10 minutes of active combat.

Her huntress upbringing would've conditioned her body well for such an active lifestyle and her experience with her abilities would allow her to hone the control to a significant level. However she's not really spent the time to explore the range of her powers, sticking to mastering a few tricks rather than trying to develop new techniques, and so she still has quite a lot of room for development.

At some point (depending on Nomad's development and consistent to the on-going plot) she'll also trigger her full awakened state, allowing her to convert her entire body to water for short periods of time, making her functionally invulnerable to physical attacks, while at the same time increasing her vulnerability to extreme temperatures and electrical attacks.

Just to check, has Nomad been accepted with the changes now, or is there anything else which needs to be verified?

@SimplyJohn I believe Nomad is ready to join us, yes, thank you for accepting my (harsh-esque) criticism well.

Also since all Immortals are to be covered in a blackish chitin like armor, I'm gunna manipulate that picture and see if I can't make it look more.. hollow-ee. Though the "turn into water for short periods" sounds like a fine power. Also this graphic manipulation I'm about to do is purely for fun on my end, and you don't have to use it. It's just a way of helping me practise.

I did this for fun, you're welcome to use them if you want but it was more for me as practise, but it's only fair to show you the results haha. Also, don't get your hopes up I'm an amatuer.

Also, am I correct to assume the backstory is a work in process? (Just a tip, "abilities triggered" makes it sound as if they are innate, whereas abilities are only gained by joining with a Spark.)

Luckily for everyone Nomad much prefers a single purposeful strike when killing her enemies, rather than taking out the entire room full of people. :)

I'd be looking to have her heading for Isolone in response to the information broker's tip about a possible well-paid job being available there. As she gets to the outskirts she'll stop though, as the damage will draw her attention and make her start to head back out of town until she can determine what happened.

Nomad's backstory is deliberately thin. She's spent the last few years battling Hollows and taking merc contracts and I'd like to get her established a little in world before tying her into specific events and characters too much. Feel free to greet her however you'd like, either as a known individual or a total stranger and I'll play off your cues.

That's kind of like leaving job experience thin on a resume and saying "I wanna get a feel for the job before I tell you what I've done." A backstory is there to tell us about what the character has gone through, key events, defining moments, etc. It's also our first glimpse in to your style of writing, your effort, and creativity. It's there for a reason, so you need to provide something more substantial, please. I'm not asking for a wall of text.

I'm sorry, but I think I'll have to drop out of this. There's simply too much information to trawl through to build up a full backstory to the level you're looking for, and a lot of the information doesn't seem relevant to the adventures currently taking place. I couldn't find any town details for Isolone, Russel City or Sinoma in order to build a character profile around those locations and I don't really have the time to spend digging around to look for it all. Along with that my 'stealth killer' style character seems heavily outgunned by most of the others here so as @clericbeast pointed out she's probably not a good fit for the world you're building
