Evelyn sighed and turned to Alex. "What happened?" she asked.
Alex shrugged. "He asked if something was wrong with you and I said--WORD FOR WORD--'Why are you so worried about her?.. Evelyn's strong, she can take care of herself.'"

Jackknife was tired of this. "Jack, you need to learn to control yourself. Sure, I might not be by your side anymore, but you're stronger than me when it comes necessary."
"I felt intimidated. I couldn't control it."

Evelyn knocked on Jack's open door. She was wearing her brother's black, leather jacket. "Hey, Jack.. You okay?"

"Stubborn, but I'm getting through," Jackknife responded with a sigh.

Evelyn smiled at Sir. Pocketknife. "That's good." she switched her sights to Jack, her smile fading away. "Hey, if you thought something was wrong, you could'a asked me instead of Alex.."

"Well, he insisted..." He closed his eyes.

"He insisted that you ask what's wrong with me? Look, you wanna know the truth?" Evelyn narrowed her dark eyes/

"I honestly am curious, but I feel like my curiosity has done enough to get me upset." Jack still laid there. He opened his eyes, staring at the ceiling.
Jackknife was curious as well, but he stood there and didn't pipe up, saying anything about it.

Evelyn raised an eyebrow at Jackknife. "Well? Do you wanna know?"

"Do you not understand what 'curious' means?" He had sort of an attitude at this point.

"Then come," Evelyn walked out of the room and into her own.

He stood up, and the two Jack's followed her.

Evelyn shut the door behind them and locked it. "ALEX!" she called out, "I'll be back soon."
"Aren't I on duty this week?.." the ravenette called back, confused.
"..." Evelyn paused. "I'm sick of keeping secrets!.." she called back after a moment.

Jack tilted his head adorably. (sorry not sorry) He had no clue what they were talking about, and boy he did not know what to expect.
I dare say he had no clue what secrets they were hiding.
Not a single idea.

Evelyn sighed and faced the twins. "This is why I couldn't move in with you... And because of Isaiah..." Evelyn walked to a large bookcase and pulled out a random book. The bookcase shook a little, then moved back into the wall, and slowly sank into the ground.

Jackknife smiled. "Technological. Nice. So, whatcha hiding?"
"You really are an idiot. This is obviously something important." he growled.

Evelyn didn't say anything, she just glanced at the two. She stepped into the room, and motioned for them to follow. She then pressed a red button on the wall, and the bookcase went into it's original place. When it closed, Evelyn's insane smile returned.
She began giggling....
Then chuckling....
Finally, she erupted into an insane laughter. As if one cue, dim lights turned on. The walls... They were stone, the same stone you would see in stereotypical castles. They were mossy and splattered with... blood. Not too far behind the blond, a small skeleton rested on the wall, chain by the neck.

Jack blinked, his eyes widened at the corner of horrified and terrified. He backed into Jackknife, who caught him, as he tripped and almost fell. He felt tears come to his eyes. "Y-You monster...!" He turned to Jackknife and started crying.
"He's right. You did this, and couldn't trust either of us in the first place to tell us. It hurts. And knowing that you're like this... You're... a monster." He turned, his eyes welling up. He pressed the button to walk out and shut the secret door once more. He stood there, comforting Jack. He was practically his big brother. "Listen, we need to pack up and leave."
Jack nodded. "I...I definitely agree..."

Evelyn blinked. Monster. H-how have I not realised it sooner.. "WAIT!!" she ran after the two, after opening the secret door. She walked up to the two. "L-let me explain!! Th-the kid, he got sick! I-I was scared and didn't know what to do! Alex is the one who suggested it and did it!" tears pricked her eyes. "Please.."

"There's no chance we can trust you. Sure, we're separated now, but we still stick together. I wouldn't be here if it weren't for him. I want to protect him. I've already done that enough but now... He's at a large risk. How could you lie about something like that? It's set in stone, you're a mass murderer. I'm not going to tell the police, but I'm going to try my best to avoid you and your little friend." He nudged his other half to follow him, and they walked out. They began packing.
