"YOU SEE THIS?" she screamed. "I WAS NORMAL! I WAS A NORMAL TEENAGER!.." she paused, tears rolling down her cheek. "Until the day they came.. They kidnapped me, guys! Alex had been there since he was a kid! He only knew violence and fear...

"We've killed too. It was my fault. I understand. But I can't be under a risk like this! Tell me. Do you understand me, since I understand you?" He turned, crossing his arms and Jack sat on the edge of the bed, shaking.

Evelyn slowly nodded. "I'd never hurt you, though.. I hated not telling you.." She sighed. "I slipped up, letting Jack seeing me smile... 'insanely'. I knew I couldn't hide it any longer..." she blinked. "If you think the room at the end of the hall if full of dead bodies, it's not. Just three cells. One has a doctor, Test Subject #16, and... Mark."

"Who now?" Jack piped up, peeking over his shoulder.

Evelyn tilted her head.. "Mark. He's my ex. He'd... well," Evelyn opened the jacket, revealing a huge bruise. "I'm only... treating him with his own medicine.."

"Well I applaud you for that... But I'm still terrified." He grit his teeth, holding back tears.

Evelyn's eyes widened. "Of.. me?..."

"I-I'm sorry... But... At first I was worried... Then... Horrified... Terrified for my life..."
Jackknife stepped to the side and leaned against the wall beside the dresser, keeping his head down.

"I-I'd never hurt you though.." Evelyn whispered.

"I had to kill because somebody hurt him.
It was an ex as well. I still have the scars.
This... person... worsened our looks by about 50%." Jackknife stared downwards, his arms crossed.
Jack nodded. "I felt horrible... But you need to speak to someone about this."

Evelyn growled. "They wouldn't understand that the man who scarred me is still out there, roaming."

"Ours is, too," he muttered. "Ours was much worse than yours. Do you not see how many scars those bitches gave me? Jack had better be glad he doesn't have to live like me. Truth is, my scars actually bother me. I don't show it."

Jack nodded in silent agreement, his face had traces of misery and thinking.

Evelyn nodded. "Well... If you need me. I'll be in my room.."

"I can't believe... She's been hiding this..." Jack looked up at Jackknife.
"I know you can't..."
"Is it much to ask... Can we still stay here?" Jack had a hopeful look.
He shook his head, still giving off an "I don't know".
