"W-what?! N-n-n-no, I didn't! I don't remember doing anything! Last thing I remember is going to bed last night!.." Alex defended himself. He got up looking at the wound in Evelyn's head. "We need to get her to the hospital..."
Jack picked her up bridal style and carried her to his black car. He laid her in the back seat and held up her legs for Alex to get in, and rested them back on his lap. He shut the back door and headed to the driver side. Jackknife followed and sat in the passenger seat. They headed to the nearest hospital and exited the car the same way they entered. Jack carried her the same way to the emergency room, careful not to go to fast or too slow. "We need help. FAST." The nurse called in doctors, and they all rushed into a hospital room where they got her hooked up.
A tall, light-haired male in a doctor's uniform walked to the trio who were waiting in the Wating Room, all anxious. He seemed bored, his lips pressed into a straight line. "Well, I'll start off with good news: The baby is fine,"
"WHAT!?" Jack hissed. "She didn't bother to tell me!?" he growled, mostly in surprise, but slightly in anger. "Alex? You have some explaining to do." He turned swiftly towards the other male, a determined and slightly intimidating look on his face.
Alex cowered under Jack's gaze. "It-it-it-it's M-M-M-Max!! At least we think it is..." The doctor coughed. "One more good thing: The glass didn't go deep enough in her eye to stab her brain, so she'll live." he paused. "Now to the bad news. Ms. Woods has lost all sight in her left eye, leaving her half-blind."
Alex glared at the doctor, a dark aura surrounding him. "How important is it?.." he growled, not taking the subject lightly. The doctor shrugged. "It would be most useful to have it on her medical records, and to do that, I need to know how she got it."
The doctor shook his head. "No, she isn't ready yet." he paused. "I'm going to ask you a question: What are you planning to do about the kid?" He looked at Jackknife. "Out of all of you, you look most like father-material." the doctor walked away.
Jackknife smirked and stuck his tongue out at Jack. "Hey, wait... Doc?" Jackknife caught up to the doctor. "You think I could get some sorta treatment for my skin condition?"
"No..." Jackknife had a confused look. "So many unknown things." Jack turned to Alex. "Let's go kill Maxwell together." He had a cheery yet insane look on his face.
