[IC] DinoBlast: RP with a terrible name

JAson woke up like any other day, With Ally scratching at his window. He got up and walked over th his window and opened it. He looked out at the big dinosaur who was staring him in the face.
"Really Ally you can't just let me sleep a little bit longer." he said clearly annoyed.
"Never besides today's the selection ceremony we've gotta be ready to go." the big allosaurus said giving Jason a big fanged grin.
"Oh yeah that's today isn't it well give me a sec and I'll be out there." he said smiling. He ran around his room getting dressed and after a short while ran out the door and climbed up onto Ally's back.
"Lets roll girl." he said as she took off following the crowd of people to the center of the desert village.
After a while the announcements started and everyone gathered around the village chief stood in the center of the village square on a raised platform.
"Welcome one and all to this years Selection Ceremony!" he said getting a big roar from the crowd Dinosaurs and people alike. "This yeah the pair we have chosen is one of heart and courage. This pair exemplifies everything this village stands for snd so this year the Village of Triforia has selected Jason Landors and Ally!" the chief said looking directly to Jason and his shocked experssion. Ally let out a proud roar that shook the ground and all those around them.
"Jason come on up here and show us your armor let us see the syncronization you and Ally share." the chief said.
"Well Ally lets give them a show shall we." Jason said standing up on Ally's back. he grinned and ran forward and when he reached her snout she lifted her head launching im through the air when he landed on the show he looked back to her and smiled.
"Alright Armor up, Dino Blast!" he called as Ally was enveloped in a golden aura and dissapeared into a ball of light that flew toward Jason a blinding light surrounded him adn when it dissapated Jason stood wearing a chestplate with shoulder pads boots and gauntlets all in a diamond like white and raising his sword above his head the diamon in the hilt giving off a faint glow.
"Well now wasn't that exciting." the chief said beaming. "Ladies and Gentlemen our Champions for the Tournament of Dinosapia!"

"Well now wasn't that exciting." The Chief said beaming. "Ladies and Gentlemen, our Champions for the Tournament of Dinosapia!"
"Looks like our representatives are strong this year, isn't that right Thera?" Said Orvalk, Therassethos shook his head in affirmation, Orvalk had represented Triforia 4 years ago when he was 19, and managed to reach the Quarter Finals, but got defeated by a stronger couple, even though he managed to learn a few tricks from the battles.
"We should be going mate, it's my job to talk with the Representative, James is his name right?" Therassethos shook his head sideways.
"Oh... So it was... Ah Jason I suppose!" Therassethos left out a small growl, as if laughing.
"All right, lets get going" Orvalk got up and walked towards the new Representative.
"Hello there, Jason right? I have much to tell you, but first, let me introduce myself, I'm Orvalk, and I'm here to help you with training and everything else, tell me, are you ready for fighting in the Tournament of Dinosapia?"

Kyle jumped backwards as the Anaconda he was hunting, tried to wrap its snake body around him. Then he quickly looked at Spin, his spinosaurus over the snakes back and then looked to the snake. The instruction was clear to the dino as it bit down on the snake's midsection, right through its skin and nearly through its whole body. The snake writhed in its death throes for a couple seconds before dying. Kyle put his chakrams in his backpack that was on his back. Then Kyle stepped around the body and patted his friend on the side, "Good team work again spin, its too bad we are the only ones good enough to hunt big creatures like this." he said with a big grin on his face.

Spin nodded sagely next to him. Without further ado Kyle put the snake over his shoulder and then jumped up on spin right behind the dinos neck, "Well we should get back to the village." Spin didn't need telling twice as it simply sprinted towards the village grounds, dust from the dry dirt path to the village getting kicked into the air. As they came within sight of the village, Kyle noticed that there was a big gathering in the village square. "Ah, crap. The Selection Ceremony is today! I totally forgot..." Hearing his companion's distress, Spino ran even faster to the village square, just in time to hear the Village Chief, Announce their names.

"Kyle Tero and Spin are this years Champions for the Tournament of Dinosapia!" The Chief announced excitedly, Kyle was in shock, and too stunned at the news that their were the champs, to bother noticing that Spin. had stopped in right before the platform where the chief was. He was flung from the dino face first into the side of the platform.

His body recoiling from the impact and his eyes cross eyed, he waved a hand feebly in the hair, "I'll ma-make sure to make you gu-guys proud-d-d." He said as he fell on his back unconcious. All the people around with their dinos, had different reactions, some laughed while others frowned, like at a very sad excuse for a champion. Spino went over to him and nuzzled his face gently, trying to tell if he was ok. The snake carcass he had dropped, lay next to him, out of place, but no one seemed to care.

Alexis had been running all night alongside her feathered companion. Her feet tingled and her breath came easier than it would for most people. She had been up all night, too excited for the ceremony to sleep, and Delilah had been asleep for most of it but had tracked her scent just before dawn and rushed to join the sweat-covered huntress. The sun was now climbing, and from the angle of the shadows, Alexis became acutely aware that the time was coming close.

The scrub-oak around them disappeared and the grass under their feet turned to soft, cool dirt. There was already a crowd in the village, but from their laid-back appearances they were the early arrivals. Relieved, Alexis retired into her cylindrical stone-brick home, where her parents were waiting with the gorgeous ceremonial clothing that was required dress-code for this day. While Delilah waited patiently outside, her mother thrust the clothes into Alexis' arms. "Where were you all night?!" she cried, then before her daughter could answer, she snapped, "Get dressed."

The four of them, once the tension had subsided, went together to join the crowd. The chief was standing solemnly on a sandy colored rock in the center of what could only be described as a town square, and though his face wore no expression there was something in the way he carried himself that sent energy crackling through the whole crowd. The soft chatter that had been background noise for the past several minutes disappeared almost instantly when the old man raised his dagger in an order for silence. Delilah snorted in a way that said, "His authority doesn't apply to me."

"People of Uzhin! The stars have shown me the way. It is not I who has selected the worthy on this day, but the stars."

He paused dramatically, making some of the crowd squirm in anticipation.

"Alexis Blair and her faithful companion, the deinonychus Delilah!" shouted the chief. The reaction was mixed; some people whipped around to stare, some gasped in surprise, some visibly scowled after having made enemies with Alexis. Her parents looked to be nearly in tears as, too shocked to fully process what was happening, Alexis followed the clear-headed Delilah to the rock. The chief raised his voice again, as he apparently loved to do:

"Show all of Dinosapia that you are truly worthy!"

And the crowd, as it loved to do, went wild.

Nathan and his mosasuar were sitting in the water of their village and looked at the sun rise. "Ready my friend" Drake asked and Nathan nodded. "Yes my friend I'm ready. Let's get going. He took his spear and supplies to make it to the tournament before it starts.

Several days later he arrived through the entry tunnel of water and he looked around as the tournament started. He signed in and waited for his challenge to begin. Being based in water he hoped there was a challenge he could be good at.

He sat on top of drake and watched the battles take place and kept waiting for his challenge to begin.

Once his challenge began his chief/father stood proud and looked at his son as he went through every so called skilled warriors that showed and he bonded with his mosasuar well and when the water stilled Nathan and Drake resurfaced and the chief clapped and laughed "Behold, our champion and representative of the village Seafern and the Southern Islands...my son...Nathaniel Melstrum and his partner Drake the Mosasaur...go now. Meet with the representatives of the other villages. And MAKE US PROUD!" Nathan nodded and raised his spear and smiled. "I will do you and my people proud father...May the seas be kind to you!" And the entire audience responded "May the sky's be clear for you"

Nathan and Drake left the arena and out to sea and headed toward the place he was told to go. The wind was fair. The sea smelled sweet. He hoped for fair journey.to the tournament being held on the continent.

Once he arrived looked for a water entrance and found it he was the champion of the South Islands. He had to make his people proud. Few others for the other islands were selected as well. Drake and Nathan just remained as calm as the sea the traveled on. It was different that the islands. And when drake and him enter the tournament grounds there Was no turning back. They were competitors in the grounds. He was proud to represent the south islands. He dove off of drake into the water and using the sheer strength in his legs. Resurfaced and rolled into the shore and looked around. He looked at Drake and Drake blinked and Nathan kept his spear handy but looked around as he stood on the ground. He was wearing a shark skin vest and some shorts and no shoes, he felt comfortable like that, unless he had to armor up, he also had a shark tooth necklace from his time becoming a man without his Dino partner. His spear 8 feet long and he held it like a professional. This was hand forged by his father and mother

After visiting Jason, Orvalk proceeded to meet the other Representants, for that task Orvalk ordered his Quetzacoatl to fly around the land to deliver a letter to all the choosen ones, it didn't take more than a day to deliver the letters, the writing was simple and direct:
"Hello, fellow Representant, I am currently hosting a celebration reunion at the castle of Jurassica, a large island near to the Brachiatic Archipelago, if you wish to come, you're invited, bring your companion!
"Good job Thera!" Said Orvalk while throwing a snack in the air, which was quickly swallowed by his dino, "Now lets wait, and don't eat too much this time, last year you ate a whole table of snacks! You're slim but still hungry as heck", Thera replied with a grunt

Kyle woke up in the Chief's sitting room of his hut, and after a few dazed moments Kyle's head was clear enough for him to first figure out that he must have been carried here from the Village Square. He then noticed voices speaking above him.

"I'll make sure to let him know when he wakes up.", from the unmistakeably deep voice of the Chief himself.

Then Kyle heard footsteps, walk away and he rose to his feet, looking for the guy the Chief must have been talking to, only to find out that whoever that was had already left. He turned around to a chuckle he heard behind him.

"Ah, Kyle, I'm glad to see that your up and about. I have to admit, when you hit the platform I had thought you might have been out for a lot longer then just a few hours."

Kyle nodded at the Chief and shrugged in embarrassment remembering the collision clearly, and he knew it was not the thing that Champion's should do.

"Anyway, Kyle I talked to your parents letting them know that your here and that your going to a party at the Castle of Jurassica. Why?" the Chief added quickly at the questioning look in kyle's eyes, "Well because you have a letter of invitation from, a Veteran Champion and it is a great opportunity for you to make friends with the other champions and ofcourse scope them out for weaknesses to exploit." The Chief finished with a grin on his face.

Kyle, then noticed the opened letter with his name on it in the Chief's right hand. He snatched it from the Chief and read it himself. The Chief frowned as the letter was taken from him, but Kyle ignored him. Yep, there was no question that they wanted him at this Jurassica Castle place, but fortunately his dad had told him about the place often enough, that he didn't need the Chief's directions to get there. Otherwise Kyle was afraid that the Chief would come with him as he seemed to like involving himself in the champion business. The last thing I need is a babysitter, much less a bossy and annoying one. Kyle, decided.

"Ok, Chief, I'll make sure to come back to the village as soon as this tournament thing is over. Until then, have a good time here at the village." He said with a cheeky grin as he left the Chief's hut, said hi to Spino who was pacing back and forth impatiently waiting for Kyle to return.

The Chief shook his head with a slight smile on his face, as his door closed behind Kyle, That rascal, is a stubborn one, but he might just have what it takes to win the whole thing.

With a quick apology, for keeping Spin. waiting so long, he jumped on his dino's back, and made his way to Jurassica Castle. That was Straight North East from the village of Tarin.

Jason beamed to the crowd and his mother carried a pack of supplies over to him her and his father both beaming with pride.
"Do your best son and make the Village of Triforia proud." she said to him before turning to his father. That was when he got the interruption from the strangest person he had ever seen the man was urgent about him going to some party at Jurassica Castle. Having now returned to her origional self Jason turned and chuckled to Ally after the dude took off.
"Well that happened." he said to her before climbing up her tail and taking his seat on her back.
"Why yes it was but what do you say we make haste to the castle that way we dont miss out on all the fun." Ally said before Roaring proudly and taking off to the Northwest where the castle was located. Upon arrival Jason looked around and saw that there werent many people there but one champion with a Mosasaur caught his eye. He directed Ally over that direction and smiled down at him.
"You must be from the Islands. The name's Jason and this here is Ally." he said patting the big Dinosaurs neck. "He smiled back down at he other champion and looked over the Mosasaur. "Your partner looks great like its in the prime of its life." he added

[Thantos]

Nathan looked at Jason as he complimented his Partner. "Thank you. He is my closest friend." He looked at Drakes eye and placed a hand on his snout and rubbed it. His scales were so smooth and clean. Drake purred as his scales were rubbed. And then looked back up at the allosaurus. "Your Partners looks like she is about to be in her prime. By the way I'm Nathan. And this is Drake." He patted Drakes snout. "And yes. From the Islands. The South Islands to more exact." He glanced around and sat in the water "seems like we don't have a lot of people here."

There was hardly any time to prepare to set off for the party, for nearly as soon as her parents received the letter she was ushered off. Before Alexis left, she raised her voice and did a proud war-cry before turning and sprinting away barefoot through the scrub-oak with Delilah at her side. And though it took a long time to arrive at their destination, neither the human nor the deinonychus seemed to get tired along the way. Although the human had gotten unpleasantly sweaty.

There was a short, shallow stretch of water to cross in order to reach Jurassica Castle, and it appeared even in the distance that there was a mosasaur in the water, as well as a large theropod standing on land. Delilah didn't like getting her feathers wet, so Alexis grabbed an abandoned raft and paddled in their direction with the deinonychus curled up contently on her lap. It was uncomfortable--deinonychus were a little too big to be lap creatures--but she tolerated it.

"Fine creatures!" she called out, addressing both of the champions she could see.

The Journey took almost half a day. It was mostly a smooth trip for Kyle and spin, over plains, through forests, across creeks, and once through a swamp where they had to fight off a huge alligator. Food was gathered on the trip from hunting stuff. Why? Because Kyle, was too lazy to pack anything and he wanted to improve his hunting skills in new areas, while he had the chance. Eventually though they did see Jurassica Castle in the distance, but as they got nearer they noticed, that there was water around the castle like a moat that had to be crossed.

Just as Kyle was deciding that Spin. would swim across he noticed a girl on a raft with a feathered dino, a guy with a mosasaur and another guy with some other kind of dinosaur. He frowned in puzzlement for but a moment before realizing that, Those are the other champs!!, He thought excitedly. So without hesitation he said, "Let's go spin.", jumped on the dino's back then balanced in a crouch like a surfer on the Spinosaurus's spines sticking out of his back, as the Spinosaurus swam smoothly through the water, towards the other champions. "Hey Guy's, I've arrived.", Kyle announced happily.

[Thantos]

Nathan noticed the girl on the raft and placed a hand on Drake and then a hand in the water, then the water seemed to glow around the hand as did the hand placed on the side of drake and a small wave brought them to shore faster. "Thanks. As is yours miss." He then looked over and noticed the spinosuarus and his partner on top and stood as the raft reached shore. "Welcome to the party I guess. Anyone else think we were brought here for a reason."

Orvalk noticed the new representants had just arrived, so he gave them the greetings, "Hello fellow comrades! My, this year the tournament will be good, look at these dinos... Brings me memories! Well, enjoy your time here, and make sure to protect your weaknesses, everyone is scanning 'bout your dinos, Ha!", Orvalk was in a good mood, his bald head would make anything funny, and he wanted to make sure everyone was feeling like at home.
Meanwhile, the Tournament Council had called Orvalk to a small meeting in one of the rooms, they had something to say, something good for him.
"Hello there, old Orvalk, as you might know your village had problems with the representative" Said one of the executives
"Problems? Sorry I didn't know that, what happened?" responded the bald man
"He refused going in the tournament, because he didn't want to fight, and we can't have another ceremony, that means..."
"That means?! Wait, you're implying that I could-"
"Exactly, do you wish to participate again in the next Tournament?"
Orvalk gave a big smile, and told his Quetzacoatl about the good news

Jason looked to the weird old man that had invited him here and laughed after he had taken off.
"That man gets weirder and weirder everytime I see him don't you agree Ally?" he said looking down at his partner.
"I most certainly do....I wonder what food there is around here." she said looking around and sniffing the air.
"No idea but I guess we should all head into the castle and enjoy the party, the tournament starts tomorrow and we all know how these things can be." he sadi as Ally turned and walked into the castle.

Kyle nodded towards the mosasaur's companion as he jumped off his dino, treading water himself as he felt like taking a dip. "Yep, I thought this party was a chance for us champs., to mingle and enjoy ourselves before the tournament." He then craned his neck backwards to glance up towards a voice he heard above him. It was a just a nice greeting the man gave them the champs and Kyle shrugged as he wasn't impressed by the lack of fireworks. He turned towards the guy with the dino he didn't know the name of, who said that they should head into the castle and enjoy their day basically. "Sounds like a plan to me, he said as he jumped back on spin's back and followed the dude. @Keyblade87 He didn't bother to look back towards the other champions, assuming that they would follow.

Alexis nodded in thanks at Nathan, and Delilah made a happy squawk that showed all of her teeth in what looked like an obnoxious grin. She was pleased to be back on dry land, and at the smell of food she lightly headbutted Alexis in a gesture that said, "Well what are you waiting for? We have a meal waiting!" With that, the deinonychus sped into the castle in a flash of feathers and curved claws. Laughing, Alexis followed at a run, hardly tired from the journey here.

Nathan smiled and looked at his fellow champions and he looked toward drake. "Well if you don't mind me saying. Out of no disrespect. I prefer to be near my partner when I sleep and it's just I never liked indoors." He patted drake on his side and looked at the guy who jumped in the water. "So what is everyone's ability? If asked I can show you my abilities"

Jason followed in after the others who had gone inside not really caring to disclose any abilities with anyone.
"Yeah I don't know Ally this all just seems off...Like something bad is about to go down." he said looking over her shoulder to her eye.
"I agree lets keep our eyes peeled shall we?" she replied as she continued walking.

Elsewhere on a cliff that overlooked the Island castle a group stood with their partners. One man stood next to a Carnotaurus wearing a bandana and hakama pants but no shirt. This man carried a bow with him and he stood brooding over the cliff among his peers. They all worked for a man named Yuro and his Pterodactyl partner. Those two were notorious for stealing partners and killing many people but the stories were all dismissed as rumor and speculations. The man with the Carnotaurus , a man named Shinji, looked to his peers and grinned.
"Let the games begin." he said as his partner let loose a low sinister growl.
