This is an RP set in the pokèmon world several centuries after the current era. A great cataclysm, no longer remembered except in a few surviving texts [it was in fact the weapon in Kalos], had rocked the foundations of human civilization - over the following centuries the kingdoms of Man rescinded into the wilds and Pokemon gradually rose into the mold that human society had cast for them. It's widely thought that the last men died over a hundred years ago.
It's a medieval fantasy setting with pokemon and all the staples of the genre. It's a low-magic era, where pokemon raised in civilization do not usually harness their powers the way of wild pokemon before the cataclysm - they instead learn to farm and barter and fight with weapons of timber and steel. Typically, those with more than a rudimentary ability with their power are taken away to be tutored (or are very heavily
discouraged from continuing their practice...)
Premise:
The game will start in the Grand Kingdom of Moere - a largely Germanic region - at the castle Schwarzenburg, nestled on a sluggish bend east of the Rhine just south of modern-day Manheim. Lower Moere is up in arms and the King has responded with the full might of his army. Already a dozen uncooperative villages have been burned to the ground, and the castle stands as the lynch-pin of the east - if she can hold, perhaps she can buy time for the haphazard rebellion to pull itself together.
There's much more to be written, but this is a setting I've been playing with for a while - roleplaying in, even, in private environments - and I wanted build in it with a proper game! I'm open to suggestions in terms of story and setting details, but for the moment, let's see if anybody's interested before I go to the trouble of writing it all out~.
We can take either side of the war, but all the players should be on the same side because I don't want to have to run multiple parties. xD.
