He covered at least forty feet before turning around to aim, realistically your character is only going to be able to throw his javelin at Higan's mech in his first phase of movement, where he's striding forward and turning, which is not an easy target for pin-point accuracy at the rocket.

Regardless, there is no argument to be had anymore, Judge Rilla came in and said if you want the javelin throw you'll have to make it inaccurate, you can edit your post if you wish, or I'll post, but I doubt that attack is going to come to anything. You broke the cardinal rule of Arena Club, basically, don't jump in the air without being able to precisely manipulate yourself in the air, or you become predictable and easy to kill with a ranged weapon.

Frankly, the only way I can see your character surviving is for him to throw his javelin and use some sort of flame blast to spin himself around, so his still armoured back is presented to whatever Higan shoots at him when he lands.

Well, it seems like you have enough on your plate right now in the tournament. I'll just have Saanga do a humorous epic fail once I get home. I doubt I could change his throw just because of a misunderstanding of the situation.

Do whatever man, considering the battlefield we're fighting in I think Saanga should have some options to avoid an attack on landing.

Minor discrepancy between my reference picture and the current situation, my Mech is holding its giant sniper rifle in its left hand and its right has the chain gun + a free hand, this is opposite to the picture, but as I've posted it as such in IC we'll just roll with the IC situation.

I get a three day weekend. I'll be able to post much more often besides the time when my bother and niece will be visiting for a fourth of july type thing. I think this battle will be over by the time work starts up again.

I just realized that Saanga doesn't have any traditional fire based attack, the closest thing being his last resort attack or his weapons before they solidify in 3 seconds so doesn't really count. I don't know if this is a glaring flaw or an interesting glaring flaw that can be kept on purpose.

Saanga's main weakness is a fairly large lack of early-game offensive capability. I think the weapons he creates should maintain some of the heat of lava, potentially giving them the ability to burn through objects.

If he had the traditional lava attacks that could fit in with your suggestion of the ones that retain heat by having it left somewhere in the middle of his solidifying cool for awesome durability to staying liquid hot. The still hot version yet in solid form would have great durability despite loosing some durability.

Of course I'll have to also mention his superhuman physical enhancements. Given the true form he'll end up becoming he'd be able to demolish that little mech of yours in an instant. Mwahahahaha!

Yeah, your character needs superhuman strength, if Higan was that sort of person he could defeat your character right now by just letting his Mech fall on him, squashing him underneath its weight. Your character would probably survive due to his armour, but he'd be stuck with no way of lifting the mech off him.

He could charge up his last resort attack to destroy the mech.

He wouldn't be able to move his body, but I guess so.

Hopefully our battle can be as epic.

If he couldn't move his palms then he'd indeed be at the mercy of where they were facing, but I'd think he'd at least be able to rotate them to face the mech unless he got really unlucky where he was pinned down.

You know what would be epic though? An all mech fight. Can't believe that hasn't been done before.

Not enough Mech characters I guess, if I have some spare time I might be tempted to run a Mech battle with some default archetypes and shit.

Ever heard of the Iron kingdom?

Anyway, I'd be interested in a steam/coal-powered Victorian style big robot battle.
