Oh yeah, I suddenly remember that part of the reason why I didn't post was because I was waiting on some sort of response to Master just barging into the alchemy shop.

I'm going to just go ahead and do something with the demon now, but a post from you @Kangutso would help to move things along.

@Eviledd1984, that's fine. There really isn't much to post until @Cyclone posts a response for that giant demon.

@BBeast

Should be able to get that post out today.

I'll probably see about wrapping up the attack on the dwarves as well. Any thoughts or objections to that?

Cyclone, I should complement you on your GM'ing. You've made sure to keep us players engaged, always having something to do. Teleporting us to the dwarven outpost was a good move, and summoning the giant demon threw in some decent action. You've been cleverly adaptive, adjusting to fit the situation should any of us go astray. Well done.

Thanks, that makes me feel a lot better about this. Hopefully it somewhat compensates for how slow I've been on some of these posts.

On that topic, I will see about making another response tomorrow. In the mean time, any ideas/suggestions for where I take the plot along next?

It's quite true you've been doing well. I'm just saddened there's not too many people around to enjoy your work.

Take us to an exotic countryside, city, or castle. Some gorgeous visuals will inspire us and get our blood pumping. Send us after a band of powerful heroes in their HQ, or a rival Keeper's dungeon with an enemy elite. Either way, give us foes that will really challenge our characters. The idea will be to show our strength and ingenuity, not by toppling helpless mooks, but by taking on worthy foes that demand every ounce of our ability. That will be fun, and a great way to establish our individual characters.

There's a gallery on deviantart I recently found with astonishingly incredible monster designs and some seriously awesome setting pieces. There's a vibrant, exotic, and intense oriental theme going on. Most if not all of his monsters are badass enough to pose a serious threat to our characters. Quality over quantity. Check this out:

@Lugubrious

Indeed, I also wish we had more people. I've always thought that I did a much better job with the initial phases of planning and writing a good introduction togather attention than I did with the actual GMing of this. To my credit we did have an amazing amount of interest at first, but most of it seems to have just evaporated. I'm not quite sure where I went wrong; maybe they just realized that this wasn't what they expected, or the slowdown in pace drove some away.

But anyways, I think I now have the workings of another mission of sorts in my mind. I'll try to incorporate some of those artworks and monsters into it where they feel natiral; that was a hood find on Deviantart.

I'm thinking that after getting the resources from the humans we've conquered, the treasure from these dwarves, and what the Horde is about to acquire from their next foray, I'll look into one final mission where we infiltrate the humans' capital and try to assassinate their Divine Emperor.

I had planned for a lot of stuff to happen (hence the big map) but I think the best course of action is to see this to a fulfilling and not terribly abrupt end, and then use what I've learned to make a sequel that hopefully turns out better than this did in terms of engaging a good sized crowd of people.

I agree with @Lugubrious. Hordes of mooks don't provide much interest. Some worthy foes would make for a good fight.

@Cyclone, that also seems like a good idea. Fast-tracking the final mission seems to be an appropriate thing to do. Maybe have just one more mission where we capture some well-defended fortress or city closer by to act as a forward base (being sure to throw in some tough opponents, of course), then we can make our final push.

And remember, time-skip is our friend. Cleaning up after a battle and long-distance travel don't make a gripping adventure.

Thanks for the feedback from you as well, @BBeast

I got about halfway through the post. It's a bit lengthier than the ones I've been making of late, since I have more time on my hands now. It's pretty good and I think you guys will like where we're going now.

...and with that cliffhanger, I'm delaying it until tomorrow

@Eviledd1984, We've left the dwarves far behind and time-skipped forwards a week or two, since cleaning up is rather boring. We're back in the Dungeon. The Keeper's summoned an army. We've got a new mission to do.

@Cyclone, about the winged vanguards. What is the nature of this 'sickly green flame'?

@BBeast

'Sickly' just referred to its color. The stuff is magical in origin and burns like anything else, but this isn't like the crazy soulfire stuff that Gorsik and Torrens used to have.

Wow, I just now realized that you've had Torrens as a character for a really long time Five or six years now?

@Cyclone, Wow, that's a long time. And in almost all that time he's been serving a Keeper of yours. Torrens is a good, fun character, I suppose, and flexible in his setting.

@KabenSaal

Take a while and it might be a tad too late for this mission; we're going to be doing a fair bit of fast-forwarding. BBeast was probably right when he said that cleanup, travel, and the like are boring and could be skipped.

So I'll have our characters mostly fighting and plotting for the foreseeable future. Stuff Emily might not want to miss out on

Anyways, I'm going to aim for another post tomorrow, in case anybody else wants to squeeze one in sometime soon to respond to what the Master said. But then again, these days posts always seem to come out the day after I intend, so you might have extra time.
