"Daniel, is it?" the doctor said to Danny Prowler with a sympathetic smile. The idiot looked like he was taken out of a movie, a clean shaven man in his 50s with a formal short haircut, stereotypical shrink. Danny simply nodded in reply, a sullen look on his face. After all, if he gave him any information like him liking being called Danny, he could reveal something a step closer to the fact he staged this entire thing.

"Well as you know Daniel, you're going to be staying here for a while, we're just going to settle you into your room and then you should be just in time for dinner and some free time to get to know some people," the doctor continued, and started to go into some sort of lecture, listing the rules and times of his weekly medical and psychological check-ups. It seemed obvious from how rare they were seeing the local psychiatrist that they viewed most of the 'patients' here as a lost hope, just kept here so they don't hurt themselves or someone else. How fun.

Daniel decided to tune in to the doctor again as he heard him mention fluoxetine, the antidepressant they had him taking once a morning and once a night. "..fluoxetine will be dosed to you as per usual, and if we see you deteriorating Dr. Guroi will increase your dosage. Enjoy your stay" he finished as what appeared to be a security guard escorted him to his room. It's not like they let him keep anything so he quickly looked around, then headed over to the cafeteria section early. Finally, he thought, It's time to meet my fellow prisoners

The girl was alone, at least that's what they saw as she walked through the hallway and toward the cafeteria for the evening meal that they would be served. The last time she'd skipped dinner they had come to find her and ended up having to sedate the paranoid schizophrenic because she'd gone hysterical and had another one of her violent melt downs while screaming about a man trying to hurt her. Today she wore a pair of jeans and a tank top, all of her scars out in the open for people to see though she didn't seem to care much at all as she chewed on her first finger; eyes flicking to the side nervously while she walked passed the white washed walls into the more normal areas. She passed by the offices, still chewing on her finger until she rounded a corner and bumped into the back of a blonde boy that was slightly taller than her.

She hadn't been walking very fast so when she bumped into him she simply stepped back, knowing already that he was real though as a ghostly figure made its appearance in front of him she yelped in surprised and fear and stepped back again, her back hitting the wall this time while she opened her mouth to flounder an apology. "S-s-s-s-s-sorry!" She exclaimed with great difficulty, rough cut black bangs falling in her face as she shook, blue eyes trying to focus on him but clearly having a hard time straying from what was right behind him. The black haired boy sneered, his red eyes flashing as he stepped forward, right through the blonde boy she'd never seen before and vanished into thin air. Clearly she hadn't taken her medication yet today and was one of those they didn't care enough to try to treat properly because of her condition.

Daniel turned around to the girl who was obviously cowering in fear, so Daniel, thinking it was towards him in some manner, rose his hands in a mock surrender. "No I'm sorry, should've kept an eye out for beautiful girls all around instead of just where I was heading, my fault I didn't look behind me as well," Daniel laughed, to great surprise of the guard witnessing Daniel's earlier sombre behaviour. Daniel had had similar breaks in his depressed persona in past, but luckily the shrinks just attributed that to manic depression, or bipolar disorder as it was commonly referred to.

Given that they were in sight of the cafeteria, the guard gave a gruff, "Well I'll leave you to it," and walked off, leaving the two alone. Great security they've got there, what happens if someone attacks someone else? Daniel thought a bit bitterly, his time pretending to be so dark sometimes getting the best of his thought pattern, combining with his mirthful mockery to amount to some sort of withering sarcasm.

Daniel looked back at the girl, trying not to stare at the scars. The girl definitely seemed stunningly beautiful to Daniel, and somehow the scars didn't add or subtract to that beauty in any way... they just were, he supposed. "Um... I'm Danny, Danny Prowler, and I mean you no harm or anything, anything I can do to make you not as scared?" he asked, trying to figure out a way to get out the disturbing look of pure terror in this mysterious beautiful girl's eyes.
