Name:
Moon
Race:
Gem, Moonstone
Job:
Former soldier, now Resistance.
Aptitude
With an spectacular aptitude for combat and scouting Moon excels at perceiving the battle field and understands the nature of battle and war, making her a great asset in intense situations calling for both attack and evasion. This is heavily reinforced by her ability to intuitively perceive her surroundings*.
Moon's shortcomings are in her emotions. She can be too assured at times, making her stubborn when a situation may call for more than intuition such as with the feelings of another. One would say that she is cold and uncaring, always wanting to do things a specific way without considering options that are better suited to handle emotions. This simply isn't true, she cares too much about how people feel but can't let herself go back on a decision since its been an inner battle** to handle decision making.
As with all gems and their weapons, Moon shows great skill with her bow. From it fires arrows that are only as powerful as she is assured they are. Letting emotions take hold will only make the arrows weaker or less accurate in battle.

*Similar to Garnet's ability to see possible futures but different in the way that no actual visions are granted. During a decision a bad outcome results in discomfort while a good outcome results in an eagerness to follow through with a decision.
**Another aspect of the ability is her own resolve. If she believes a choice to be bad from the start then the power will always make her feel uncomfortable. Likewise is she believes a choice to be the best no matter what, then she will feel eager from her ability. What she must learn is to reason out her decisions instead of relying on a power to tell her everything.

Background:
For all of her life she believed Gems were the greatest and most deserving of all things in the universe. But in that same illusion she was taught that organic beings were corrupting their "host" planets like a sickness. The very idea of organic creatures disgusted her soon after joining the military she found herself at the grounds of Caylx, bring salvation to the burdened world. During the initial events of Caylx's Salvation Moon was on the front line.
Only three days on Caylx passed but tens and hundreds of battles across the world brought great destruction to the people. Her resolve was strong throughout, believing she was doing this world a favor. But over the weeks she had traveled great distances on the planet. Things weren't so sick as she believed. The people, the vegitation, the rivers, and the land were not as her home world said. She stumbled upon a system of caves on Caylx. They looked like a birthing grounds for gems. But instead of shallow holes they were expansive. It reminded her of her own birthing ground. Moon wouldn't call it doubt that formed inside of her but a sympathy. Wondering for a long while about how different Organics were from Gems, she came to a conclusion that all creatures Gem and Organic shared qualities that made them more than just atoms and energy. They had ambitions, fears, and meaning.
When ordered to exterminate the sickness of Caylx it dawned like the sun, it wasn't the people that were corrupting the world it was the gems. What they wanted was no different than genocide. Like that, her resolve toppled from the heavens like the cornerstone of a tower pulled from underneath. In battle she was wounded far more often than before, unable to see those creatures as enemies. Her superiors took notice. at first they tried to reassure her of their actions. But when she started to question Caylx's Salvation they threatening discharge.
Now understanding that her people, the Gems, were the ones corrupting Caylx, she found a new resolve. The resistance found her and she joined them at the cost of never returning home.

Appearance:
Moon is overall slender, standing no more than 5 feet tall and having a shoulder width that extends just a couple inches more than the width of her head. Appearing made for combat, her legs are long and her feet nimble for running. Her arms are long too but her hands are rather small. She's unfit to wield a melee weapon but finds no difficulty in using her bow since most of the physical strength necessary to draw the string is done by an emotional muscle.
Like a Moonstone she has a brighter core color and a darker external color. Her Gem is placed at the center of her collar bone, shaped like the crescent moon but positioned so the arc lays down and the points are up.
Her hair is dark blue but the roots are a brighter color than the tips. The style is short, keeping to a unisex look and a more functional length that allows her face to stay free of loose strands.
Her outfit is also simple like her hair, extending to her elbows and knees while remaining thin and smooth. The color choice is neutral to her blue skin tone, which is silvery blue. The same goes for her open toe sandals which are made for running.
A unique part of her appearances is a sort of glow that happens when she stands in direct moonlight. The brighter cyan of her skin radiates like a mirror, reflecting outward. It looks like she's transparent as the light will bend around her body, leaving now shadow and letting others see through her. She's unsure why it happens but says she feels at her more calm when the full moon comes around.
