I just finished the new Majora's Mask game. I collected all the masks too. I was curious so I looked at the Activity Log and it said I finished the game in almost exactly 30 hours at almost 5 hours per times played. Whew.

I think it's fine, I like how everyone interacted considering there is absolutely no teamwork involved. The only thing I don't like, is how you made Araris lose his sword.
@siliconcolt all of the above, I like how you changed our actions, but i dont like that you did but its fine, you are the GM.

*writes these reactions down in a notebook*
hmm ok. I will keep these in mind. thank you for filling out the survey.
Well, thinking more on it, the sword beam in FD mode is not a magic spell, but dependent on his health, So it wouldn't take any magic, but for the purposes of this RP, we could make their strength dependent on his magic stat.

that's what i was thinking too, since it was a long range ability and kinda magic anyway. Also, your weapon is currently slicing up someone's digestive system soooo it's hurting it from the inside right now... could you imagine swallowing a knife? that shit would hurt so bad.
You can retrieve it if you... jump inside the mouth... o_O or manage to punch your way through the skin... ok that would be gross. I think I'll do something to get it back to you.
On another note, I hoped to start some team synchronization. I'm not going to force actions together again so I hope we can start doing it ourselves with various combo attacks that we think of on the spot.
@SiliconColt How about the sword simply fell to the ice instead of being eaten. I honestly have no idea what to do without it. Maybe punch it's body from the ice? Meh, sounds stupid.

Pallus could use you as death fodder and hurl you at the Octoroaka
OHHHHH, I have an insane idea but its ALMOST verging on godmodding...
tell me :o

stupid but technically the same damage mechanically, if you want to make it so your weapon is bonus strength you'll spend character growth on it. otherwise its just a cosmetic piece, that's pretty much how I've set up having more than one form of attack at the start of the rp.
Masks give you double what a weapon does since you transform into something but only lasts 6 rounds. Inherited Weapons on the other hand do +1 strength at their appropriate range. Because your mask is the bonus, even without your sword you fists do as much damage as before.
Pallus's telekinesis could pretty much be him punching and kicking with the same damage effectiveness... then there's Rida who has a butt load of strength for her summons yet could still knock a monster down with her fists, despite that not being how the character is written.

that sounds fun.
When the battle ends, which it probably will next round, everyone who participated can undergo mechanical growth.
Getting through a chapter of the story grants you mechanical growth where you have a great many options to increase your effectiveness in combat.
It's a phase of negotiation where you propose and idea then I approve, deny, or give you a suggestion on how to improve it. Since we havn't done it before there's probably going to be a lot of confusion so here's an example for each player.
The Fierce Deity Mask is a powerful tool which had already given Araris many powers. +2 strength boosts his damage to 5, a very powerful number in the beginning game. With his blade reconstructed out of broken one, he damages enemies and channels a magic bolt. The magic bolt itself was not supposed to be an option at first but Raven managed to use it anyway. The mask granted extreme speed in combat but with not mechanical value it means a lot less than one would hope.
Once before Araris asked about half-damage while in masked form. As cool as that would be for him, it would be far too strong an ability. So a suggestion is: "while in masked form, take -1 damage at a minimum of 1/2 a heart." Another suggestion would be develop the sword into one where it does additional damage for Close Range like other weapons. A final mask related suggestion would be to improve the magic bolt by either taking another magic point or a "first one is free" effect. A 'Foif' is used with magic, costing nothing and dealing damage at your max magic but only for spells that have no special effect.
Stat wise, Araris could improve his Hearts, Strength, or Magic. Hearts is would obviously allow him to take more damage. Strength would be a very wonderful one to choose because this continues to concentrate the character's role in battle as a heavy hitter.
TL:DR your best options are +1 Strength OR -1 Damage (minimum of 1/2) while in mask form. If you can think of an alternative way to grow, let me know.
Having used fire spells in battle it would be an obvious choice to improve magic by one point by just improving the stat itself or improving the fused shadow's bonus. In either case it has the same result. Another option for Minadi to consider is finding a way to improve the spell itself. L might recommend giving it double burning damage. While this makes a lot of sense, mechanically its a bit much so we'll tone I suggest that it instead does double burning damage on the first use of the spell. That's 3 Magic Points of damage + 2 points for three turns (6) so the grand total is 9 damage on that first spell.
While not a huge participant in the battle itself, rai is an important character nonetheless and deserves just as much growth as any other character. With a fairy boomerang it is as simple as throwing the item to attack, counter, and assist others with this very versatile weapon. Having choose the boost his hearts and strength in the beginning Rai looked like a bit of a tank compared to other characters. He may wish to improve his boomerang potential or increase a stat like strength or hearts. A suggestion for him would be to come up with something interesting like adding "confuse" status to his boomerang when he throws it at an enemy. It would consume a point of magic but it would provide a useful effect in combat.
with her great flock of cuccos she wanted to take care of her enemy. While I did force the hoard to dissipate in the battle, the strength of the attack was mechanically no different. Using her summoning gate (i don't remember its name) she could bring about various creatures to battle for her. The weapon itself is Medium range so she may want to improve medium range allowing it to be +2 instead of +1, add it as a long range weapon as well, or just improve her Strength to get both.
Why should she improve the summoning gate when her stat would be a better choice? Well previously she wanted to summon dekus who are stronger than cuccos. I did say that it would need to wait until later, and now is that time for later. If she were to improve the summoning gate then she'd have access to a cosmetic change of the weapon. Dekus would come out and start shooting seeds at foes, which is a little different than getting a hoard of cuccos to gang bang an enemy.
But it's really up to her to pick between improving the gate for +1 and dekus or just Strength for +1 because it would apply to all ranges. SO mechanics vs cosmetics.
That's me so the way i'd improve him is by adding an interesting effect. "Fire two arrows at once" always sounds like the best archer skill ever so how would I go about doing that while being fair? Well I could have it cost something like magic but that doesn't make much sense. But since adding an arrow to an attack isn't magical (just neat as hell) id ask myself, what does it improve? Well it would give it +1 damage. Sounds simple enough, fire two arrows to add another point of damage. So why wouldn't I just add a point to strength? hmm well I think i'll give it a neat alternative. If I hit two foes then 1 foe gets full strength and the other takes 1 damage. That way I have a reason to choose a situational attack over a stat improvement.
Then depeding on the enemy you can earn various other rewards like rupees, heart pieces, strength bangles, magic potions, and much more. In the case of octoroaka I'm planning on giving everyone the party 5 Heart Containers, 3 Strength Bangles, and 160 Rupees to split among themselves.
Because there's only 5 heart containers and 3 strength bangles, everyone has to talk among themselves to decide who gets what. It helps us understand each other a bit more in character. Someone taking more than one reward would be seen as a total jerk who's being selfish unless someone was giving up their reward.
Its not just bosses that drop these sorts of items, its also npcs who can give you something interesting. I'll probably talk to Cas about a very special potion which grants +1 point in a person's magic stat. It could become a quest to get very specific ingredients and return them to the potion merchant.
In the future there's going to be a merchant who sells items that characters can use like shields, swords, and ammunition. They have a certain number of uses but many can be upgraded or repaired to make them better.
One item which Im planning on you guys purchasing in bulk is the mighty bomb. Yes bombs, exploding and destroying all the false walls!
The dungeon that I'm designing requires them to be used, but just like the games they can be found growing in the wild (for some weird reason bomb plants have evolved and flourished despite the environmental hazard they are.)

I wanted to Throw up the glacier that the Octoroaka is in and hurl it as far as possible.
Minadi will probably give it an area of effect splash if it connects to the ground, where the fire disperses for about 5-8 feet out from initial contact point (center of the fireball), damaging anything in the radius.
Move Pallas closer to the octoracka I will make Greg become giant Greg and attack it

I think the entire iceberg is a vit too big for you right now. You can certainly tip it over though. That would at least smack the head to the beach and make it vulnerable to close range attacks.
But araris is on the iceberg atm. How will he take it?
