I don't know about everyone else but Bloodstone has kind of forced himself into a 'nice job fixing it, villain' moment with Spinel. If he had never sent in the red eye Spinel and Aquamarine would never have fused, and then I would have had a much harder time justifying having the originally cold, logical Spinel not join Bloodstone.

Does any notice a flaw in bloodstone's argument that he revealed when he answered spinel? Why would he try to make a gem emotionless if he wanted them to just be themselves? That sounds an awful lot like BS to me, and Reggie to. He just didn't say anything cause he like living.

But think of it this way. Bloodstone speaks about how he removed her impurities, her emotions. It sounds very monk-ish to me, and how they detach themselves from the world to truly become at peace. By removing any and all tethers, he allowed her as much freedom as she could have, no longer having anything internal to bias her choices of life.

I had noticed that myself XD that was something I was thinking about bringing up.

It is true though that it is a very monkish type way of thinking. You also have to think though, what are the other Spinel's like? He implied there were other colors so what were they like?

It's really cool that you guys noticed that, I actually did my best to incorporate some of what I know about Buddhist philosophy into Spinel's moral compass.

I can see that in Spinel ^_^ it is hard to say with Bloodstone. I mean, as far as I see, most are half truths which are still partly lies.
