Oh wow people actually said yes! Alright, well trying was definitely the key word up there. I'm not really looking for people to join or anything, and I'm definitely not trying to ask anybody to join since I kind of doubt it's something you'd all be into. Also I won't actually have it ready for a very long time and I'm too busy to run it now, but I've had an idea for a high-fantasy, slightly GoT inspired type thing for a while now.
Basically, the plot would be that 7 noble houses have ruled over an entire continent for many centuries, and are led by a monarch whom they elect every time one dies. They have been able to maintain order and unity for so long with relatively little infighting because 1000 years ago, the founding members of the empire placed some kind of curse on them stating that, if the ruling families should ever raise arms against each other, some manor of horrible cataclysm would strike the entire continent and destroy it. I haven't decided what exactly it's going to be yet, probably some kind of plague or natural disaster or some extremely powerful monster of some kind.
The plot goes that the monarch has died of natural causes a year prior to the game's beginning and things are beginning to look bad. The players' mission will be to find a ruler each house can agree on so the crisis will be averted. I dunno, the plot itself probably needs some work honestly, but the biggest reason I want to make it, as well as why I'm sure it will take so long (and I'll probably have a really hard time getting people to join and stay) is that I intend for it to be statted and have items and dungeon-crawling, roguelike elements and a gameplay style that rewards resourcefulness. Basically the gameplay is what would make it my dream rp, if it ever works out.
