[OOC] The Eyes of the Mountain

Welcome to Kings Point, West Virginia a very desolate town located on the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains or more specifically Kings Mountain. A very large and steep goliath of the Appalachian which attracts many hikers and thrill seekers. This is the life blood of the town which has the only gas and hotel for miles around. However recently something has fallen over this quiet town.

Three hikers all of them experienced in the area have disappeared leaving only a backpack with everything in it. This alarmed the town and a large force of civilians and the local police searched the mountain and surrounding hills only to find nothing. One week later two hunters went missing with witnesses claiming to hear over twenty gunshots in a short amount of time. This sent the town into a panicked state and many hikers left due to the missing. However an email was sent to the somewhat local college over 50 miles away and posters hang all around the town with a 1 million dollar reward for the capture of who or what is causing this. It ask that all who responded meet at the local bar the Ole Top but their is something a little particular about the message,nobody knows who sent it.

Who dare responds and journeys into the unforgiving Kings Mountain.

Yes you are allowed any sort of weaponry that is reasonable for camping trips.

I need you to stop with that. I am the GM and make the rules nobody goes on camping trips with a sword sorry man but you can have knifes or knife variants.

i mean swords are pretty much larger and less useful knives if anything.

because A. their heavy, B. you cannot take them everywhere, C. You can't use them properly
Don't talk about sword sheaths because nobody ever uses them in modern times to find one is already a huge pain in the ass

Heck these arguments even count for wooden swords

realistically speaking even old twigs are even better than swords

and here is a question what is the limit when it comes to knives because you have daggers, kitchen knives, survival knives (those are probably allowed) you got the shinobi knives, combat knives and everything else...

but if i'm going to implement myself im probably going to go empty handed

sigh im making it worse by stating all this aint i...? just trying to realistic with my arguments about my decision

One to three knives is pretty reasonable I would say. Just think of what you would carry on a camping trip and you should be fine.

since im representing myself a carving knife to pass time i dunno why i find grabbing a stick and pressing a knife against it to be very addicting, flashlight (afraid of the dark is me) and probably some things related to my hobbies, like wooden blocks or wooden sticks to go with the carving knife
a handheld doesnt make sense if you go camping
any objections with these options im asking before i actually start working on a character

Bio:
Autumn was raised in the center of a very large city, in a single-mother household. As her mother's only child, she would get spoiled rotten with toys, movies, clothes, little trips to wherever she may have wanted to go. By the time she reached highschool, she had already taken several photos of New York, South Africa, Brazil, London, South Korea, and Japan. Because of this, she missed a staggering amount of school. It never bothered her. She only cared for her art.

Autumn heard about Kings Point from a friend that had gone to West Virginia a couple of summers back. He'd told her he was going to hike through with some of his buds, but had gotten sick before the day came and had to miss out. Fortunately, his friends made it back unharmed but horrified, vowing to never go back again.

Autumn decided that this would be a great way to break from the crazed, crowded, noisy environment of the city. She would go to Kings Point, take a couple of pictures, document the trip, and return home to show her friends, maybe post them on her blog. She would tell the whole world that the town was nothing to fear. Then she could focus on the beginning of her fashion career. She had it all planned out.

Hopefully, this trip would not disappoint her.

Personality: Calm, a bit of a jackass, friendly.

Bio: Originally from Kings Point, Jacob spent most of his early life reading. He loved to read about old stories and books about, well anything that remotely focused around something weird or out of this world. In high school, he developed a interest in History, and science and wanted to learn more about both subjects. Graduating high school, Jacob went to Virginia tech to get a major in science. Spending 2 years there, did Jacob learn about the incidents at his home town. The kid inside Jacob had sparked again and he packed up some of his old equipment from exploring the wilderness back in middle school and head for Kings Point. Knowing that this may be extremely dangerous, he went to the local gun store and purchased a shotgun, in case something decided to attempt to maul him, and since he was there to stay, also rented a hotel room, for the week to have a place to crash, and waited for the date, to head down to the local bar, Old Top to meet his supposed "Partners" who will accompany him on their adventure.
