Your character wakes up in an unfamiliar room in an unfamiliar building complex. How they got there, what they were doing before waking up, all of this is unknown. When your character wakes up, they find themselves with a metal collar around their neck and a PDA on their person.
Did you turn on the PDA? Good. Upon turning on the PDA, a word is displayed: Gluttony, Greed, Discouragement, Sorrow, Lust, Anger, Pride. Cliche enough for you? This is your PDA’s designation. That PDA is your lifeline. With it, you can access three things: Rules, Release Condition, and Map. The map is a map of this building, which has six floors. The Release Condition is a task you need to do. And the rules?
Well, here. Have rule 1 as a taste.
All players have explosive collars attached to their necks, and a PDA. Players who have fulfilled their release condition can remove their collar by connecting their PDA to the connector on their collar. Should a player try to connect their PDA to their collar before their release condition if fulfilled, this will fail and the collar will detonate 15 seconds later.
The other rules set the stage a little better. You're working on a time limit. A 72 hour time limit, to be exact. In essence, if you don't fulfill your release condition and get that collar off before 72 hours pass, you're dead.
Problem is, you're not the only one. There are six other people. Yes, six. Seven of you in total. Not a typo. And see, those people need to get their collars off too, but some people's orders might conflict.
For instance, a release condition could be killing another character. Or it could be something simple, like just surviving for 71 hours. Either way, you need to get that damned collar off, don't you? You need to survive, above all else. And those other people, sure, you don't know them, you don't have any grudge against them, and if you don't have to, there's no need to do anything...immoral. But, well, if they get in the way...
...you know what "collateral damage" means, right?
So, as you can gather, the basis of the RP is player interaction and conflict in each individual's attempt to survive. If your release condition is more violent, you'll have to be careful to not get caught. If you find someone with a compatible condition, feel free to buddy up with them. Lie, plot, and scheme to get out alive. Maybe you can live without doing a single immoral act. Maybe your only option is to be the last one alive. Or, hey, maybe you can target whoever put together this screwed-up spectacle.
Regardless, good luck. You'll need it.

First off, don’t be an abject ass to your fellow RPers. We’re here to have fun. Feel free to be an asshole in-character though, if that’s how your character is. At the same time, don’t be that person who’s offended by everything, especially if it’s an in-character interaction. Debates, teasing, and the like is not to be taken as “rude,” outside of extreme circumstances. If someone is being excessively inflammatory or something like that in an out-of-character setting, I’ll talk to them. Basically don’t be super offensive, and don’t be super offended. Just have fun.
Next up, standard fare. No controlling other characters, no autohitting, no bullshitting, no doing things you shouldn’t be able to do. You guys should know all of that. You can kill other characters without their RPer’s permission because this is PvP, though.
It’s also good to know that we’ll be suspending our disbelief with regards to the need for food, water, and sleep, so don’t worry about those. (Or maybe there’s a secret reason for that~)
Wounds you sustain are a different matter though; leaving a wound untreated could become highly problematic.
Metagaming is prohibited. 100%, no questions asked, absolutely positively completely prohibited. In this setting, that largely means doing stuff outside of the RP that affects it inside. For instance, PMing another RPer about private plans in an OOC. So that I can make sure people aren’t cheating, all IC conversation is to happen under my watch, as explained below. Essentially, you should never talk with another RPer out of my watch when the subject is this RP, unless you’re discussing your opinions (for instance, PMing everyone “wow Dawn’s being such an ass in that Sound and Fury RP” is fine). For an RP of this nature, metagaming is 100% toxic, so I will not tolerate it in any amount. If you’re unsure about something being metagaming, ask me before you do it, but odds are that if you’re unsure then it probably is metagaming.

Now then, let’s get into the meat of how this is gonna work.
The RP is time-based, obviously. Seeing as you have 72 hours to survive, time is an important element here. As such, we’ll be doing something I don’t usually do: a post order. I’ll dictate the post order before we start the IC. This post order will apply only to “movements”, though, like walking down a hall or stabbing a bitch. If it’s a matter of two characters conversing, you don’t have to wait for the other four RPers to post before continuing your conversation. Basically, to an extent, talking is treated as a free action. Don’t abuse this and have 100 posts of conversation in one round of the post order.
If it’s your turn in the post order, you have 24 hours to post before your turn is skipped. This is not set in stone. If something comes up and you won’t be able to post though, let me know and we can work something out, like giving you an extension. If something like that happens consistently though, then we will likely have to discuss other solutions.
Now, because of the nature of this RP, you don’t have to make everything you do public. Say you’re in a room alone and want to set a trap, or you and someone else are chatting in a closet privately. If you don’t want to post that stuff publicly, out of fear that others will metagame around it, let me know and you and your affiliate parties can “post” in a PM conversation with me. Let’s say Yuri’s character and Monkey’s character are discussing a secret plot. Instead of posting them talking about it in the IC, I can make a PM convo with the three of us, where they do their posting for that. Strictly speaking, if you wanted to, you could do this for everything and go the whole RP without ever posting in the IC, but that’s a bit antisocial and doesn’t seem super-fun.
This also allows you to take a "half and half" approach. Let's say you have the Envy PDA (see the PDA rules), and are fiddling with it while you walk the halls alone. Obviously, you having the Envy PDA is best kept a secret, so you can post with your character walking down the hall, while PMing me that they're fiddling with the Envy PDA. In other words, you can leave information out of your IC posts at your leisure as long as A. you aren't lying in your post (misdirection is fine), and B. I am made aware of every little thing you are secretly doing. So, for example while you can post walking down a hall and PM me that you're simultaneously messing with Envy, you cannot post walking down a hall and PM me that you're not walking down a hall, but instead that you're standing in a hallway preparing an ambush. You cannot outright lie in your IC posts. You can leave out information (as long as I know about it), you can even try to use your wording to misdirect others, but you cannot outright lie about what your character is doing in their post.
That said, some info may leak out. Let’s say Tokki’s character is standing right outside the room where Yuri and Monkey are conversing, then I might PM her some of the contents of the conversation that her character happened to overhear. So, even when you’re in “private”, you should be careful. After each “round” of posting, I’ll make a post that finalizes what happened, if anything (did Yuri’s stab hit its mark, or did a trap go off, for instance). After that, we’ll have another round of posting.
Also, I cannot exaggerate this enough: when you are posting moving, please specify in what direction you are moving in terms of the map, or in reference to some other landmark. For instance, “exiting the room and going north”, “going towards the sound of the gunshot”, “going in the opposite direction from the sound of gunshots”, and the like. Since there are maps, location is very important.
I’ll provide one little hint, though. There are traps afoot. Be careful when walking around, some of them can be instant death if you’re not careful.
This all is fairly bare-bones; even if it seems long-winded, you can probably tell that there’s not a whole lot to this. It’s not an intricate posting system, it’s just a post order with the ability to be private. The possible actions you can take during a turn are only as limited as imagination and logic will let them be. Should you want to take an action you’re not sure about, or want to clarify something, please ask me. If I feel your question applies to everyone, and that it was more of an oversight on my part for not including it here rather than intentionally leaving it out as I’m doing with certain things, I’ll let all competitors know. If this isn’t the case, I’ll only tell you.

When your character wakes up, they will have a metal collar around their neck and a PDA with them. They will have nothing else but their clothes, no watch, no knife, nothing. Don’t try and be cute by giving them kevlar-woven clothing or something, either.
Upon turning on the PDA, the name of one of the eight evil thoughts (with the exception of Vainglory) will be displayed. This is your PDA’s designation. From there, there are three options that can be selected.
-Rules
-Release Condition
-Map
Selecting rules will display the following.
That should explain what’s going on here pretty well, no?
Release Condition will show your personal release condition. I will PM this to you. You’re free to show this to others IC, or hide it from them. Up to you.

Selecting rules will display the following.
2. There are 7 PDAs, each with their own release condition. You can only unlock a collar with your own PDA. Trying to use a different PDA to unlock your collar will result in your collar detonating.
3. In addition to the 7 standard PDAs, one randomly selected individual has been given a second PDA: Envy. Envy can perfectly disguise itself as any of the 6 PDAs, including their unique functions. This ability can be used any number of times, however it has a one-hour "cooldown" between uses. Further, connecting this PDA to a collar with not activate the bomb condition nor release the collar. If a release condition involves destroying/collecting PDAs, this PDA will not count towards that total.
4. There are forbidden areas. When you are about to enter one, your collar will warn you. Should you enter regardless, it will detonate immediately. From the second day onwards, every eight hours a floor starting with the first will gradually become a forbidden area. At the very end, 72 hours after the start of the game, the entire building will become a forbidden area.
5. Players who survive for 73 hours win, and will have a cash prize of 1 billion dollars split among them.
6. Some areas are non-combat areas. You will be informed upon entering a non-combat area. Launching an attack when inside a non-combat area, without exception, will result in your collar detonating.
7. For the first six hours of the game, combat is prohibited, outside of accidental combat or self-defense. Attempts to disguise intentional combat as self-defense through sophistry and the like will not be sufficient. Breaking this rule will result in detonation of one’s collar after fifteen seconds.

Map will show the building map. It has six floors, and each floor is identical in terms of floor plan and room layout. However, it is largely unmarked. The map you are given is viewed here:
The solid black square at the right end of the map is the location of an elevator. The zones at the upper left and lower right corners of the map are the stairs. For floor one, there are no stairs at the lower right, and the upper left stairs lead upstairs. As a result, for floor two the upper left stairs lead down, and the lower right lead up. On floor three the lower right lead down and the upper left lead up, and so on. All other grey rectangles are rooms, though their contents are unknown.
You can view your location on the map at any time, and at the beginning of the game I will PM you with the location on the first floor map that you will wake up in.
Should your PDA have a special function for it, I will also PM you additional maps short of the above default one.

Name(s): Names, Nicknames, Titles
Gender: Just male or female, please.
Age: How old is your character? There are no age restrictions, but if you app a 90 year old man or 9 year old girl, keep in mind their weaknesses.
Personality: Make this decent. Please.
Appearance: A written description is always nice, but pictures will do the job. Yes, you can put the picture at the top of the CS all nice and centered.
Occupation: Their job or something similar.
Biography: History of their life. Nothing too edgy or unrealistic.
Skills: Anything they can do that doesn't come naturally to 90% of the human population. If you ask me if they can do something without training, that thing isn’t “breathing” and “walking in a straight line”, and that thing isn’t listed here, I’ll probably say no. List anything and everything of even minor importance.

A lot of what’s above might seem more complex than it is (the posting system, while its description is long-winded, isn't very complex at all), so if you want me to explain something more succinctly or if you have any questions, by all means, ask.
