Appearance: Damien is a brown eyed, dark skinned man that stands a bit on the short side at 5 ft (152.4 cm). He has neck length, stiff black hair, a smooth square jaw, and a seemingly permanent scowl on his resting face. His broad shoulder emphasize the bulky frame beneath his uniform.
Personality: Damien has a bit of a bleak outlook on strangers to the mansion. He tends to be cold towards newcomers to the mansion, but eventually gets used to their presence, even if he still didn't like them. Those who would call him their "friend" would find him an extremely hard worker willing to handle any physical task, even though he is still abrasive to even his friends, as normal social grace doesn't apply when he doesn't feel like applying it.
Damien's defining trait is his honesty. However, honesty combined with his brash personality isn't always a good thing. He's never afraid of telling others what he thinks, and he often makes it a point to let them know just how angry he might be or how idiotic someone is. Anyone that might object to this sort of honesty would only be told that they were being childish. The truth is the truth, after all, and no amount of wordplay would make it any better.
History: Damien is a foreigner who hails from a well known country up north. His father was the head of a prominent thieves guild that often dabbled in murder and espionage. This father was anything but a perfect role model. He pretended to be a noble in public, but could be downright barbaric to those who worked under him. He was a heavy drinker, and became extremely violent when provoked. He had even killed Damien's mother, a concubine he had owned, after she bore his child and asked to leave the guild to take care of him. Damien, instead would be raised by tutors hired by his father. As he grew older, Damien's education would require him to build his muscle and learn business management skills, for his father hoped that he could one day hand over operations to his son. Damien, however, was growing to hate his father. A servant had told him of his mother's killer, and it disgusted him to think that his father got away with it. It's what lead him to finally set out on his own to try and escape the anger he felt growing up. His father threatened to cut him off from the family fortune, but it was exactly what Damien wanted. He headed south for warmer lands, penniless but confident that he could find a better life.
The job search turned out to be more difficult than he had thought it would be. Since he had never finished before leaving everything behind, he had trouble finding anyone who would hire someone with no real credentials other than "foreigner, willing to work for low payment". He leaped from job to job, ranging from serving tables at small restaurants to hunting, and other jobs, building an impressive resume with experience in a wide range of management and labor occupations. Eventually, he found himself looking for employment at the mansion. He resides there to this day.
Other: Despite his short stature, Damien puts forth an impressive presence, able to intimidate those much larger than himself. This, along with a sharp sense of smell, quick reflexes, and a number of odd traits make him seem almost like a wolverine.
