Long has existed the land of Yun, filled to the brim with magical creatures both delightful and frightening.
While it is a complicated place, many find solace in the simple pleasantries of celebration and day-to-day affairs, but there is unrest in the land.

A gateway to another world has been opened, through the use of powerful spell craft enchantments on several tomes. Those from the other side of these portals who wished to experience the story held in the pages of the enchanted books truly get an experience to remember! Instead of words, they are greeted with the real thing. Though few ever find this gateway, those lucky enough to stumble into this realm find themselves transformed into a proper citizen of its boundaries.

You are one of the few unexpected travelers, from another reality entirely. The day is yours, to learn and explore.

The story:

You had lived a relatively normal young life, up until you purchased a dusty old book from some second hand store. It had all seemed innocent enough: a leather bound edition with a colorful cover illustrating a land of fairies, wizards, demons, and all other sorts of fantastical creatures of myth.

Upon simply opening the cover you were pulled into this magical land, like Alice into the rabbit hole. You awoke dazed, and transformed! Some newfound talent, or new-found body, was your’s now.

Around you was a simple green pasture, and several others who had shared your fate as equally confused as you are. A three foot tall expectant-looking individual stands before you in the grass which comes up to its waist, robed from head to toe in dark blue fabric.

Gameplay:

Discover the magical land of Yun, a diverse place home to all magical creatures and people. Explore, learn, and change the world around you. In order to travel to this land, you were given your own power, or were turned into a magical creature, similar to things like Minotaurs, or elves. The choice is yours.

This strange, small creature stood before you when you first awoke. She is very polite, and serves the Great Mage Sarah Serenity.

The Great Mage Sarah Serenity

Not much is known about this fair lady, other than that she is very powerful and gifted with magic. She is responsible for the books which brought everyone into Yun from another reality.

Background: Roman often hosted his younger sister, Delilah, after moving into his own home, playing as a third parent to her. He had received a basic college degree in English, and moved onto being somewhat of a popular author.
Personality: Roman has the patience of a saint. He is relaxed in most situations, and soothing to talk to.

Name: Alex Mackney
Age: 17
Gender: M
Transformation: Ability to conjure and control fire/heat, and survive high heat.
Background: Alex is a bit of a rebel character. He never cared about school, friends, parents, anything. The one thing that intrigued him was fires so he became a bit of a pyromaniac. This was probably due to living next to a fire-station and seeing them leave on emergencies, and also that one time in chemistry when his teacher set fire to the school by accident. one day when he was home alone he decided to go to the backyard and light some fires for the fun of it. He started lighting them with matches, then moved on to lighters and whatnot. One of his favourite things to do for fun was putting paraffin and blowing fire.
Personality: A bit of a rebel, he doesn't like following orders and prefers to hang out in the background like an outcast. He will get extremely loud if made angry and he will argue till his honour has been restored. He kinda lives in a fantasy world in his head, always thinking of 'what if?' scenarios at school, or she he is bored. Once he gets to know you he might open up a bit but he never really had any friends, just acquaintances.

Name: Lavínia Padilha
Age: 19
Gender: Female

Transformation: She became the typical "forest warden" type of creature (Driads, Huldra, etc). She became almost 7 feet tall and got a pair of deer like antlers and a cow-like tail.

Background: Born to a family one would be impressed on how Lavinia developed, constantly getting in trouble for fights and being more tipped to a traditionalist political view. She went trough school without learning much or making a lot of friends, she simply preferred to slack off, due to that she didn't even try to go for college, instead she started to help her parents with the vegan food restaurant they owned. Despite the differences between their views, she and her parents had a good relation

Personality: Impulsive and anti-social, she spends 2 out of 3 days being too lazy to do anything and when she does it is probably some stupid daredevil idea. On the other side, she holds her word and rarely lies, making her a trustful person.

Age: 22
Gender: M
Transformation: his transformation is quite simple: he became a wizard. The only thing he can really do is cast spells.
Background: Him and his feternal twin, Daena, were just regular college kids living off their minimum wage jobs. They had no power in the real world nor did they have any money so this escape probably helps them more than hinders.
Personality: Daemon is a very calm guy. He is very laid-back and doesn't let many things get to him. He is very protective over his sister though so he is kind of like the silent wall that keeps Daena safe.

Age: 19
Gender: F
Transformation: her transformation turned her into a fairy. Yep, she is of the fae nature. If she gets angry enough, she becomes an inch tall and sprouts wings (that is until she learns to control her ability.
Background: Exactly like in Daemon's Bio, but she actually has a full time job. She is a cosmetologist.
Personality: Daena is the exact opposite. She is extremely outgoing and friendly, but has a very scary side to her. When Daena is angry, she can scare the life out of someone. Extremely short (5'0), she is very feisty. Daena does have a very sweet side to her and she is very protective.

Name: Basco Jean-baptiste

Age: 25

Gender: Male

Transformation: Satyr

Background: basco was a dj for hire and worked in many night clubs. where he came from, he was always the life of the party, constantly finding something to entertain himself and his friends. Always surrounded by people, he was very sociable and a bit popular. His curiosity though, constantly got him caught up in crazy situations.

Personality: basco is quite a free spirited man with a fondness of parties and a sense of humor, always looking for a laugh. There was never really a time he's not smiling. Very sociable and enjoys the attention of women. He's also curious and a little clumsy. He tends to want to make friends with any and everyone.

Background: Nyra was a college student studying to be an engineer. She has always been into fantasy, her favorite was dragons. She would often draw her fantasies in her head.
Personality: Nyra has always been quiet and shy. She is introverted, but is very protective of the her few friends.

She is only as big as a small horse. She is very clumsy in her new form and has yet figured out how to breathe fire.

Gender: Female
Transformation: Forest Nymph
Background: Jacinta is quite a shy young lady. She only has a couple of close friends at school and she loves her music although she barely reveals her original songs or her singing voice. Jacinta was orphaned at the age of 10 when her mother died in a car crash and her father became too sick to care for her.
Personality: She is shy and soft-spoken. She can be a kind friend but often seems to slip into the background, thinking quietly to herself. There are times, however, she seems to slip out of her soft-spoken self voicing an opinion and letting loose, this is more around close friends then anywhere else.

Name: Paige Alexia Irving
Age: She is 17 years old.
Gender: She is of the female gender.
Transformation: Paige gained the ability to summon wind powers, but since she's new to her power, they're hardly controlled. It's likely a tornado or a hurricane could occur if she gets angry or distressed.
Background: Paige grew up in a wealthy family, mainly because of her aunt, who had married a celebrity and gained money off of him, and had helped her family gain media popularity, and most of all, helped her family become wealthy in the first place. Her childhood was very unfortunate; since she didn't appreciate a lot of things given to her, or find anything entertaining. As she grew older, she started to appreciate life a bit more and tried to gain interests, one of those many interests being books; she became an avid reader and can never be seen without something to read, which could and will explain how she got the book that took her to the land of Yun. Her current occupation is usually helping at the library or working at a coffee joint, as she attends high school.
Personality: Paige is mildly bratty, wanting to be the special snowflake, and paints herself to be the smartest and most wise of all of her friends. Though if one manages to withstand her behavior for long enough, she can be very helpful, very loyal, and never hesitant to do anything for someone in need.

The first in-character post is up! Everyone can start on their own opening posts now, and submit them whenever they like. As this is a free level role-play, there is no limit on how long/short your post needs to be. Please try to keep your spelling coherent enough that everyone can understand it, and have fun! The adventure is only just beginning. :3

Name: Lavender Moon

Gender: Female

Transformation: She gained the ability to control coldness/ice. Still trying to get the hang of summoning it.

Background: Lavender was a second child who was raised in the city. Admiring her older brother she tried to become like him. She took on extra activities at school such as being president of the book club (where she became addicted to reading) and being head of the basket ball team. After graduating she started working at a coffee shop, still reading whenever she got the chance. She often would go to stores to read older books which were hard to take home from the library.

Personality: Lavender is a take charge girl, holding her head high, but knows when to let someone else lead. She has a tendency to be sarcastic in a mean way and will often not realize she hurt someone's feelings.
