Concerning the PM System

PMs are back. I like that.

Here's the bug. I guess, after reading a new PM, the PM count doesn't dissipate. I tested by sending a PM to myself to ensure successful sending. Is this intentional?

It isn't, but its a work in progress.

Mahz just hasn't gotten around to implementing that, or so is the impression I am left with.

Right. In this iteration, I just display the total PM count and force the user to notice a delta that indicates that they've a new message.

I'm working on a "read" vs "unread" system which will solve a lot of problems at once like a notification system and topic subscriptions and indications next to topics you've not yet read.

It's just a work in progress and one of the core challenges of scaling a forum.
