Also a game inspired me.I was thinking that reality is reality and it may further process into only Sci-Fi.But!I thought that eithere Steampunk and Cyberpunk can exist,with the limits of the tecnology having the same effect,but relying on different technology.What I am saying is that you don't need to stay within the limitations of our world,as far as your idea makes sense. Eg if your nation turns into a warmonger empire that calls itseld the Death Crusade and has power armors that look like fantasy armors,and wield guns and swords at the same time,is of course okay,as long as you gain these tech like we would IRl.If you don't get it yet I mean that your Nation's theme can change on the long run,as long as it makes sense and had a reason.A crashed alien ship will make your nation become reliant on technology from that point for example.A volcanic eruption cleansing the land will make your nation becom a Crusade of Flame that wants to Dominate the lands in order to bring "Justice".But please PM before any of these ideas.Also keep them for when we are running out of stuff.These are fairly late-game ideas that are only for when technology CAN go in different ways.Like around the date of 2200 at min.Have a good day.
