Welcome to Kaiju War Chronicles, an arena-styled, turn-based, roleplay of gigantic proportions! The name is based pretty much off the same series you can find on Toho Kingdom, which puts random kaiju and mechas from different movies, franchises, episodes, anime, etc all into a death battle. Consider this RP to be an honor to the original deal.
First off, you are all allowed to pick any kaiju and mech from any series, west or east, new or old, it doesn't matter. The only kaiju I restrict only for myself is none other then the King of the Monsters himself, Godzilla (due to how extremely powerful he is, but none of the less if he does battle I'll be able to control him fairly). The rest of the kaiju and mechs are free to your command.
You will also be able to fight in many 'arenas' in the forms of major cities (such as Tokyo, New York, London, etc), uninhabited islands (like Monster Island) and even on other worlds (Like Planet X)! The choice is yours! (Also, feel free to crush buildings, military vehicles, and the like, all will be repaired before the next battle will ever take place in the same area).
The rules are like in all arena RPs:
1). No godmodding - Godmodding is when a character features god-like abilities, such as invincibility or mind control, or other unrealistic powers that don't fit with lore. It's also considered godmodding to refuse death in fights or ignore role-players in scenarios in which said role-players are attempting to attack you. Nobody's good at everything; try and keep yourself in check. If you are using a canon kaiju, please stick to what his powers are, and if an OC, don't make him too overpowered.
HOWEVER, permission is granted for a person to god-mod, IF ONLY THE PLAYER OF SAID OPPONENT HAS BEEN INACTIVE FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME WITHOUT NOTIFYING ME OR ANYONE ELSE (otherwise, wait until they return or talk with them how to go about the battle). With that power in a depending situation, your character is allowed to escape, but NOT TO KILL THE OPPONENT. Only if the player is banned from the RP, then can you consider killing the opponent.
2). No metagaming - Metagaming is where a player's character makes use of knowledge that the player is aware of but that the character is not meant to be aware of.
3). No Autohit/walk/etc - Autohitting is when a player performs an action without giving the affected players a chance to respond. For example, running up to somebody and saying *Stabs in the heart* then running off would be autohitting. Auto also applies to non-combative actions to which another player might have a reaction. Saying, *The black knight slips past the guards and into the castle,* while white knights are guarding the entrance to the white knight's castle would be autowalking on the premise that, in all likelihood, those knights would stop you before you got past them. This can easily be fixed with a simple rewording. Add "tries to" or "attempts to" to clarify that your character intends to perform said action, but his success depends on the responses of those around him. More advanced role-players will go into detail with their actions and emphasize their attempts. This is a frequently broken rule by newer role-players.
4). No powerplaying - Powerplaying occurs when a player operates someone else's character without the other player's consent. The most blatant example of this would be a player writing, "Your character falls off the cliff when he walks up to it." As you can see, you take active control of what the other character does. Not only is this not fair to the other player, but it's also discouraged because often players will misconstrue the behaviors and personalities of characters they didn't design. Powerplaying goes into more subtle situations, however. Saying, "Sally charges Jack so fast that he wouldn't be able to react enough to avoid it," can also be considered a violation of this rule since Sally's player has controlled Jack's abilities, possibly in a way that doesn't accurately represent his character. The appropriate way to word Sally's attack would be, "Sally charges Jack so fast that it's unlikely he could totally dodge it without equally inhuman speed." This leaves it up to Jack's player whether or not Jack is actually capable of avoiding Sally.
A non-example: *Rex walks up to Jewel and moves to plant a kiss on her. Rex's rich, masculine musk overcomes Jewel so powerfully that she has no control over herself and kisses back.*
5). No mary-sues - Basically, don't make your character perfect. Every kaiju, mech, and human/pilot have and must have at least one flaw in them. (Yes, even Godzilla has a weakness of his own)
6). Your characters CAN be killed in a battle. However, IF the two of you decide to kill one of your fighters, that DOES NOT have to mean that he/she is dead forever. They can be revived and issued in another fight, thought I suggest you keep the defeat kaiju down for around 4 rounds before he can be eligible for another fight. If you want the opponent to be dead for good, that's also ok.
Points: For every battle a player wins, they each get 200 points. The looser, none.
7). The GM's word is law, meaning Lmpkio's word is law! To those who have severely failed to follow one of the guidelines, each are given two warnings. If you happen to do it again the 3rd time, then you're banned from this RP. However, if one accidentally makes a small hiccup in their post, please kindly remind them to change their post to the appropriate change. Warnings are given out for those who have severely broken the rules (heck, I've even done that to some of my rules back in the early day).
8). If you have any questions regarding the RP or any complaints, feel free to ask me via PM.

9). The list above can be changed at anytime, but I will publicly announce so in the OCC if I decide to do so.
10). And the most important rule of the RP is...
Here are the sheets for the profiles. Make your character and please put it in the OCC first for me to review, THEN if it's approved, transfer it to the CS and delete the one here in the OCC:
