I've advertised for one here before, but this is a different one(which I, personally, like better).
https://www.reddit.com/r/TheRealmsMC That is the reddit-based forum for it, which includes tutorials on how to use the various plug-ins that make the world work, as well as rules for the server.
A few cool things in the world:
Ships/airships: Not content with just the plain boats, you can build a full sized naval vessel, or a flying machine. Airships are expensive because of the parts that are needed to make them fly, but a naval ship only requires wood and wool. They're good for expeditions, and when you don't know where you're settling, because they're relatively cheap and easy to make, and you can keep chests on them.
Some ships can even have cannons, and some airships can drop TNT. (Funnily enough, airships dropping bombs has been used almost exclusively for digging canals, rather than war)
Gods! There are, I think about five of them right now. Each has a temple(some have two) somewhere in the world, and you can go and pray to them. The more often you pray, the more they like you. The more they like you, the more they bless you. If you neglect them, however, they'll curse you. They will also ask for you to sacrifice things to them.
Citadel: Allows you to reinforce your structures and lock your chests and doors, to protect against thieves.
Realistic biomes: Plants and animals have ratings for how well they grow and reproduce depending on what biome you're in. Horses do well in savanna, cows do well in plains. Deserts don't grow very much at all.
Sickness and temperature: You can overheat/freeze, and you can also catch diseases(which there are cures for, if you have the supplies or a doctor on hand).
