Name: Malakaya
Race: Beorc
Age: 53
Appearance:
An older gentleman, Malakaya's face is gaunt with wrinkles that tell of his age. Long frownlines and forehead creases give away his serious nature, although his grey eyes are still sharp and piercing. He still has his full head of hair although most of it has gone grey with age and what's left doesn't have the same raven black hue it used to. Interestingly enough, Malakaya keeps his face clean-shaven. He has a hunched posture and a light olive complexion, and chooses to dress himself in unassuming brown robes the majority of the time. His voice is gruff and rolling, with a certain weight behind it.
Class: Sage
Proficient In: Anima Magic, Staves
Personality: Intelligent and pragmatic, serious yet compassionate, age has given Malakaya wisdom. He is very patient and is never seen angry, but annoyance is not beyond him and he expects his troops to perform at their best. Individual results matter little to him rather than the dedication poured into self-improvement. He has a sort of quiet power about him, someone who can whisper in a crowd and silence all, a hunched old man that can stare down a hulking berserker twice his size and leave him rattled. While passion is understood by him, he makes it a point to keep the passion in his troops in check so that rational thought does not give way to fervor.
Biography: Malakaya's Mercenary Corps is widely recognized by most militaries and governments from continent to continent, and he didn't get that way overnight. It is known that as a young lad Malakaya himself was in a separate mercenary band through which he weathered many conflicts, at which point he splintered away with a number of his brothers in arms to form the one in his name. The terms of his leaving is a mystery and he does not speak of it, but Malakaya's Mercenary Corps went on to weather many more high-profile conflicts and even a war in which his band of mercenaries played a pivotal role in summoning a truce. To this day Malakaya's Mercenary Corps still undertakes the odd job, from defending caravans from bandits to retaking besieged castles.
Additional Notes: The banner for Malakaya's Mercenary Corps is that of crossed axes with a spear pointed downard through the center flanked by two horizontally stretched wings, with the head of a wolf overhead and the words "Through fire we ride to victory".

Name: Daigon Rorchart
Race: Beorc
Age: 40
Class: Emperor
Proficient In: Axes, Swords
Personality:
Daigon was known to most as a firm and steady, but righteous and benevolent leader. His relaxing of the harsher management employed by his forefathers painted him as a more generous and willing figure, an idea he held rather truthfully. Though not unwilling to employ the necessary punishments, Daigon's rule left a slightly more obedient and kindred people to rule over, and as such gave him a great following. He was known to go out to lead and train alongside his knights and soldiers in training, claiming he didn't want to get out of practice working as a whole but proving himself to be more down-to-earth and sympathetic than most rulers might be.
That has long since changed. Daigon is now a blunt, gruff, and stern commander, exercising the whole of his power freely and sparing no expense to achieve his goal. He's grown ruthless, almost obsessive in his want for the Fire Emblem, shutting down any who dare question it or defy him. His advisers and close family grow increasingly concern with each passing day, unable to comprehend what has come over the Emperor - or perhaps, unable to speak of it.
Biography:
Though he was the younger of two brothers, Daigon was the only son left to inherit the ruling power when his older brother died in a confidential expedition. He took upon the throne after his own father, Malcor Rorchart, passed away in age. Despite his losses, the young lord took his new role in stride, enabling a yet more prosperous generation to come. He ruled for many years, the nation at his feet prospering at his careful management.
But something changed, one day. Following a confidential discovery and a several-day-long leave of privacy, Daigon turned into something much different. Immediately, he demanded that the Fire Emblem be turned over to him, and when he was refused, prepared the entirety of his military power for a crusade. Now the lands and people he watched over and protected either stand by his word, or must fall before his might - there is no compromise.

Name: Johannes
Race: Beorc
Age: 34
Class: Warrior
Proficient In: Swords/Lances
Personality: A relatively plain and stable man; direct without being blunt, capable without being over-assured, and obedient without being blind. He can seem rather neutral emotionally, but he well knows how to sympathize with others on his side. Admittedly, Johannes doesn't pay much attention to the implications of a matter too much, willing to kill without giving much thought over the men he is killing - he simply does what he is built to do. That being said, he isn't actually seen fighting much, outside of training and sparring with the mercenaries, preferring to wait until the going gets tough to step himself in.
Biography: A descendant from an old, long forgotten clan of crusaders, Johannes was practically raised among Malakaya's Mercenaries. Even from youth he was being taught to handle a blade, and did manage to show great prowess and control in his learning. Malakaya, however, was keen to teach the boy the ways of right and wrong, and what such things would mean to him. As years passed, and people came and went, Johannes grew into a more simple and complacent figure, the dredges of battle being simply a painful slog to him. At Malakaya's request, he resigned himself to be a leader figure for the new blood. The aging warrior is well aware of his mentor's age, and both seem to be waiting for the time that the old man passes way, so that Johannes can continue in his name.

Name: Lieutenant Lindsay Beatrix Valentine IV, Countess of Valinea
Race: Beorc
Age: 36
Appearance:
Lindsay has a very expressive face, which is nearly always warped into some state of flustered. Her complexion transitions from pale as milk to red as a beat at the drop of a hat. She is absurdly tall at nearly 6'5" with the delicate frame of a dancer. Lindsay's striking blue hair is oft worn messy down around her shoulders at a length nearing the bottom of her ribs or more tidy in a french braid. In combat she's taken to wearing a protective metal headband vice the traditional helmet, but dons the armor of a knight of Valinea's 2nd Pegasus Brigade in officer's dress. This armor is only in form, however, as she wears a blue standard vice the crimson they are known for and her cape is stitched with the insignia Malakaya's Mercenary Corps flies. Her voice is high, flat, and quiet, easily drowned out by others.
Class: Seraph Knight
Proficient In: Swords, Lances, Mounted Combat
Personality: Though she may dress as one, Lindsay does not hold herself as an officer should. She becomes anxious quite easily and is painfully shy, often deferring to others, allowing them to speak for her, and sometimes even cowering behind familiar faces when faced with new acquaintances. She is driven by duty and is hesitant to rest if not to please her superior officers. Lindsay is quite formal and polite, possessing a gentle and generous heart, and often acts as the "camp mother" fretting over every little last thing. She has an incredible eye for detail and little escapes her notice, and many would be shocked to know that even with her bashful demeanor Lindsay functions very well in combat. She claims this is because she's always anxious and has adapted well to the stresses and fears of battle, already being capable of functioning effectively in states of utter panic.
Biography: Lindsay is known as the scouting officer for Malakaya's Mercenary Corps, and the cavalry officer when no others can fill the position. She is a noblewoman from Valinea yet only claims them in title. Lindsay has been with Malakaya's Mercenaries since near the beginning, and it is apparent that she was once a part of the Valinean Army yet she has never spoken of her separation or even her time with them.
Additional Info: Lindsay's pegasus is a powerful white-grey spackled colt named Valiant. She is also the group's chronicler, taking notes and writing reports of the group's travels and battles.
