Description: Annella has a round, slightly freckled face and wide doe-like eyes (as said by her grandmother). During training, Annella has long, dark brown hair that is usually tied up into a messy ponytail to keep away from her face, with a few wisps of shorter strands pulled out from the sides to frame her face better and with a somewhat messily chopped fringe over her forehead. She also has blue eyes, behind her thickly framed rectangular glasses.

With a high metabolism, the girl tends to remain lean and small, not helped by the somewhat meagre servings of food given to the trainees nor the amount of training she does during her time at the camp. She has small, slumped shoulders, making her relaxed but giving her a somewhat defeated look to her.

Annella chooses to wear a square-necked dark grey tunic under her uniform, that being the only customised thing she does. During the more casual outings, she tends to wear a white, long sleeved shirt under a dark blue-green tartan patterned dress, reaching just above her ankles with some flats.

Personality
Description: Annella is reserved and quiet, preferring to listen than to speak to others and rarely starts conversations. Due to her not having the chance to make friends and build relationships properly when younger, she is socially inept. However, when approached, she can be friendly and open (though awkwardly). Annella is very responsible; having an almost overbearing personality to those she cares about.

Annella rarely tells others how she feels, thinking that she would be a burden if she felt anything other than happiness.

Strengths: She is devoted to helping and taking care of others. She is very altruistic, enjoying helping people, no matter who it is.
Having grown up taking care of her grandparents, Annella developed a huge sense of responsibility, thinking that it was up to her to take care of those who need her help. She cannot stand it if her actions cause danger to others, and is willing to take responsibility for any actions she does.

She’s always there for those she cares deeply about, whether by lending an ear or helping them with a task. She doesn’t mind waiting and following up on someone if she feels the need to.

She doesn’t like leaving a task half done, preferring to keep following up until the task is done or she’s ultimately forced to stop bugging everyone.

Annella tries to think positively, even in a negative situation. This brings a fresh outlook to a grim situation, even if what she says is naïve.

Weaknesses: As mentioned above, thinking positively no matter the situation is something she can’t help doing, however she could even push being an idealist, striving for goals or a scenario that is just impossible, no matter how good it sounds. Coupled in with her persistence, it could even lead to her being stubborn about her beliefs and ideals.

Her idealist or optimistic views can sometimes lead to her being too naïve. She tries to avoid thinking bad of other people (see family for reason why) and even makes her vulnerable to manipulation. Since she had no friends previously, it was easy for those to use her over-helpful personality to con her.

In a childish way, Annella refuses to tell anyone if something is bothering her. This is because she thinks that if she tells someone, they’ll find her a burden and leave her, which is why she tries to bottle up her negative emotions until it leads to her breaking point (see family).

Reckless During her breaking point, it can lead to her acting irrationally and even recklessly; she joined the military to avenge her parents, too guilt ridden to listen to her ill grandparents’ advice.

Her persistence can sometimes make her overstep her boundaries, making her too pushy to some. What she considers to be concern can lead to her being excessively protective, to the point of being annoying.

Wants: She initially wanted to join the Corps in order to assist humanity however realised that her grandparents needed her a lot more, ultimately changing her decision and enlisting for the Garrison. She also wishes to buy back the family bakery in the future, to keep it running once she retired from the military.

Fears: Her main fear is not living long enough to provide the means for her grandparents’ medication. It’s also pretty given that she fears losing anyone else she cares about, but honestly who doesn’t?

Background
Description: Annella grew up within a fairly rich household. Both her parents’ income would go into the rent while her grandparents would work at the family bakery where there would be additional income to support the family. At first, she was sent to a small school within the district, however soon her grandmother fell ill and it was then that Annella had to take over her grandmother’s job to help provide the money for the medication. This made her unable to concentrate between both work and school, especially at such a young age, and soon she was pulled out of school.

At this point, she was unable to make any friends nor spend much time out for herself to find any friends and which is why Annella is socially inept now. Soon, it was her grandfather who fell ill and it was even harder for her to maintain both the house and the business. Just when things were slowly settling down, Annella got the message that her parents were killed in action. Guilt and grief ate at the girl until she finally sold the bakery in a way of paying for a few years of medication while she enlisted into the military to avenge her parents and help pay for the medical bills.

Parents

Her relationship with her parents was almost non-existent. As Annella grew older, she began to resent her parents for seemingly preferring to risk their lives rather than to help her and her grandparents. It was selfish, but she was only a child. Not wanting to burden her already stressed elders, Annella began to slowly form a shell, where she’d bottle up any negative emotions and for a while it actually worked.

Well… until the series of unfortunate events struck. First her grandmother fell ill, next her grandfather, until she was left alone to help pay for the medicine using the money earnt from the bakery. Whatever money her parents sent over was used for the household, until even that stopped. On the day she found out that her parents were killed, Annella was delivered a letter that was written by her mother years ago, stating her regrets for giving her up and explaining their reasons for abandoning the child to the elders. All the resentment melted away into guilt, for being selfish, and grief for her loss and all the emotions that was bottled up finally spilled and she had her first breakdown.

Recklessly, Annella sold the successful bakery to a neighbour and joined the military. Initially, she wanted to join the Survey Corps so that she could avenge her parents – feeling that they would only be proud of her if she followed after them, no matter how stupid that sounded – and now at fifteen years of age, Annella was finally within the 132nd Trainees Regiment.

Grantparents

She had a better relationship with her paternal grandparents compared to her parents. However, Annella always found herself taking care of her grandparents more, especially as the years went on – skipping school to assist with the business, or making dinner (only once she was old enough) – and it forced the young girl to mature earlier than she should have. This situation only made Annella an altruistic and responsible person as she grew older.

By the time her grandmother fell ill, Annella had already dropped out of school to help her grandfather with the business by taking over her grandmother’s job. Because she was too busy with helping her elders, she never found any time for herself to make friends or experience life as a typical child should have, making her the socially inept girl she is now.

Once she had her breakdown when she received her mother’s letter, she had joined the Trainees Regiment in a fit of recklessness. Whatever money that she had received for selling the bakery, she used to buy the medication that they required, at least until she was able to graduate where she would be given a chance to get a stable income.

Appearance

Description

Yuri Tynko is one of the Taller one's from the 132nd, even with the large numbers. Though he may not come across as the more Muscle-type of soldier, he does pack the average strength for someone his age. His arms, legs and body do seem quite slim, though he isn't particularly. His neck appears to be quite long and wide, which helps with his physical appearance as a more threatening type of character. The height advantage makes Instructor-based consequences very difficult to hand out.

He wields long-ish Jet-black hair, which is styled to be ruffled, rather than combed or neatly kept. It doesn't exactly curl as such, however it is kept in a somewhat fashionable appearance. The mix of messy and thick hair makes the perfect combination for a haircut.

Yuri's clothing statement is rather basic. His undershirt is one dark shade of Green. The colour choice contrasts well with the Trainee-Overcoat in the uniform and passes Uniform regulations, unlike some attempts of trainees beforehand. When it comes to casual wear, he tends to find himself with his buttoned shirt, as seen by most Farming folk of outside the Wall Districts, as it comes to him as the closest thing to home. Sometimes a low-budget fabric and sleeveless overlayer is added to his fashion. Yuri Tynko comes across as the standard Soldier material.

Personality

Description

Yuri is known by his friends for his friendliness and all-round great company. Along with Grant [See Other Affiliates], he is one of those to be looked up to, and not just in the literal term. Some have described him as an 'Older Brother' due to his consistent will to ensure everyone is on the right track to succeeding. Though he is quite to himself, lessen the more Open kind all around. When it comes to 3DMG training and navigation, he tends to pick the furthest path away from everyone. The thoughts of being watched and judged makes him very uncomfortable indeed.

If there is one thing, however, that he himself loves doing, it has to be swigging a bottle or two down. More profoundly is he known for doing anything for a Devil's Pride, a Vodka beverage which mixes Apple and Pineapple mixed tastes with standard Vodka flavoring. Most days he can be caught drinking one of such, and can easily be bribed by the drink, depending on what the Bribe is exactly.

Though Yuri doesn't always think on the positive side, he gives more neutral opinions on matters. If two Trainees were to argue, he'd attempt to stop it if necessary by taking no sides. The Same goes for bad-turns in events.

Strengths

With his height, strength is quite a slim chance. He is very skilled in the art of balancing. When it comes to fast-paced movement, however, he shows great potential. More notably, he shows great movement speed and reaction times in more Urban or enclosed spaces. The way he moves is odd, consisting of constant twists, turns and spins. Timing his grapples is something Yuri had learnt to plan perfectly.

Challenge him to a drinking or eating game, and you are sure to lose. He can take on any Trainee with Venison eating contests or 'First-One-To-Go-Down' pub games. His strong addiction to his drinks has made him quite hard to knock down in a drunkard way. Really, his disorientation is very rare and he tends to find a way to control balance and stability for any situation, from drinking to actual training.

Weaknesses

Being watched has always been a large concern to him. Back in his working days, he used to hate having a watchful eye as it kept his mind away from getting the job done. There have been numerous occasions where his full potential hasn't been shown due to the audience's company.

He can be easily drawn away from his intentional tasks and fears failure. To him, "A good soldier is one who get's every single detail in work correct. Those who don't are building up to be or aren't making the attempt."

Likes: Devil's Pride [Obviously], Soldiering On [Excuse the Pun]. He tends to enjoy doing stuff relating to training. When small and unnecessary competitions are held by Officers, he complains until everything get's back to what they are supposed to be doing, becoming soldiers. He also has a vast knowledge in Horses and Equestrianism. Though nothing compares to his extreme addiction to Cannons...lots...and lots...of Cannons...

Dislikes: Procrastination and Laziness is something that pisses him off. If someone was asked to do something, they do it instantly as long as Yuri is around.

Wants: To ensure he rises quickly through the ranks to gain access to his Sister more often, was one of his main goals. He also wanted to keep maintaining his reserved spot in the stables for his beloved horse, Gōrudosansetto.

Fears: Being watched is his greatest fear. He suffered from great embarrassment when placed on-field. The slightest of mistakes can lead to him breaking down into a nervous stutter.

Description

Yuri Tynko is the youngest current member of the Tynko relations, which is now suffering from a great depression. His ancestry goes back way before the Titan appearance. His family was once of the Rich business agender, making rich Metalwork for cannons in Russia. Since the titans emerged from the shadows, his family's claim to fame was quickly evaporated, and began to take on the Poorer life. More recently, the Tynko name is referred to for high-quality farm work, where Yuri spent his days growing up. He has been a hard-working boy, hence his origin for his constant discipline, though ability to still maintain a somewhat social-life. He lived with his Father Cyo, and sister Vera, for 9 years. His mother was unknown to him, as Cyo didn't really 'mention' her that much.

Halfway through his 9th year in life, Cyo was confronted by a friend. His friend was Jonah Stephenson, a Garrison soldier. He talked to him deeply about how the Garrison were in need of recruiting soldiers after Recent Titan threats in Yupian. Cyo, being a man who wanted his children to think highly of him, accepted this role. He placed Lucas Escara, a recently hired employee, to act as the Children's guardian. As he did, he promised a trip to Yupian for the boys. Cyo did seem quite old for the Trainees, which was strange, but he was accepted, as many older men were at that time.

For the next 2 years, they lived on the Farm growing crops and making a handsome living. Though it was when Vera hit 15 that everything turned around. News spread that during a minuscule Titan defense operation, his Cannon malfunctioned and ignited itself. One out of the three in Cyo's cannon team were killed instantly from the explosion and him and the other, being Jonah, were thrown off of the wall and died upon impact with the ground. After a lot of suing and compensation, the Two remaining Tynko's quickly earned a lot of money. With this, Vera disappeared one night on one of the Stable horses, beside Gōrudosansetto. Two weeks of panic and a letter arrived, with Military signatures explaining how she had signed up to the Military. She never really explained her motives. However, Yuri suspects it was due to her anger, or having something to give her life purpose. She was gone for another 6 years with little contact.

Before long after a cold winter, Lucas fell incredibly Ill, and with a poor medical system in his hometown, he died shortly after becoming prey to the disease. This left Yuri alone at the farm, which quickly began to collapse and lose customer interest. He began to become bankrupt with Business wealth, and had to turn to his stored share of his Compensation and bought himself a trip to Klorva. As he had nothing to turn to, he thought he could put his work in the line of duty to do something people would respect him for. He rode off to Klorva the next few days after he paid...

Description

Raphaela is a rather tall woman, being one of the tallest female trainees. She has brown hair that reaches down to of her chest, which she ties in a low, loose ponytail on duty. Her eyes are a blank, grey, and quite narrow. She wears the standard Trainee Corps uniform, and on days off she wears a light brown cardigan with a white polo shirt underneath, along with a dark green skirt.

Personality

Description

Raphaela is a very loud and talkative person, and is difficult to quieten down. She's extremely over-confident, despite her lack of skill in combat, and she's usually passed off as arrogant and self conceited. She can be sarcastic at times, and jokes around with her fellow trainees often.

Raphaela is shown to be playful and teasing towards her friends, and cares a great deal for them. She's a very determined and passionate person, wanting to regain humanity's freedom from the titans. She's headstrong and never resorts to giving up. Although her combat skills are relatively poor, Raphaela stays confident and strong when faced with tough situations.

When forming plans, Raphaela becomes sly and cunning, acting like some sort of evil tactician. She plans out carefully, and never rushes into battle without one.

On the inside, Raphaela feels very hollow, fragile and lonely, and only puts up a strong front because she doesn't want people to think of her as weak. She would often get into fights when she was younger, only to come home crying after. She says she wants to be remembered as 'that strong, confident soldier', rather than 'the girl who would always come home in tears'. Although she teases her friends a lot, she cares for them deeply, and is grateful for their company, seeing as she barely had any friends back at home.

Strengths

Raphaela is a very strong minded person, and never gives up no matter what. She uses her smart tactics to overcome obstacles, and will take charge of any situation. She's passionate and determined, and when things go wrong, she'll try to pick everyone up again.

Skill wise, Raphaela is renown for her high intelligence, and can strategise with almost no effort.

Weaknesses

Raphaela has a tendency to overestimate her abilities, whether it be her theoritcal or practical skills. Her arrogance often leads to conflict, which makes the other trainees, even her instructor question her leadership skills. Raphaela doesn't exactly know the 'limits' of others, so when she accidentally hits a nerve, she isn't fully aware of it.

Skill wise, despite her large frame, Raphaela is terrible when it comes to practical activites [Hand to hand combat especially], and her 3DMG skills aren't something to be praised.
She's not very strong either, which annoys her.

Likes: Warm places, sunny days, high places [Not that type of high...], short peoole, vegetables.
Dislikes: Cats, dust, the colour black, cutting herself [You know, papercuts and such.]

Background

Description

Raphaela grew up in Trost and had a relatively normal childhood. She shared a very close bond with her single mother, and Raphaela saw her as her role model. Her mother would often tell her daughter stories about her father, and how he had herorically slain titans in the Survey Corps. This, at one point inspired Raphaela to actually join, which her mother quickly objected.

Noticing Raphaela's tendency to get into fights [which often resulted in Raphaela running home crying], her mother told her to stay strong and confident, and asked her to promise that she would, no matter what happened. She knew she wasn't going to live any longer than Raphaela's tenth birthday, and tried desperately to make her stronger before she died of her terminal illness.

After the death of her mother, Raphaela had a mental breakdown, completely shattered by her mother's death. Even after she was sent to live with her uncle, Raphaela had no one else to lean on for support, and closed herself off from almost everyone. She would often spend time alone, because her uncle was constantly out at work. Raphaela grew to hate herself for not being the strong and confident woman her mother wanted her to be, saying that she broke her promise towards her.

A year later, Raphaela finally decided it was time to change. She didn't want to be seen as weak or fragile by others anymore, and saught respect from people. She wanted to fulfil her dreams and keep her mother's promise. She wanted to have friends and be around people more, instead of distancing herself from them. Thus, she decided to change herself for the better: take chances, speak to people, have a laugh or two, fulfil dreams and most importantly, stay strong and confident, just like her mother had said.

This change didn't come out as perfectly however. Raphaela became a little too over confident and arrogant, and her desire to become more talkative developed into her becoming a louder, motor-mouth type of person. When she tried to become 'stronger', her sarcastic nature began to show, and she would often insult bullies rather than fighting them head on. This, as usual, ended up pretty badly. At one point, she decided to join the military, remembering what she had wanted to do as a child. She thought becoming a Survey Corps soldier would make her more memorable and praisable, so she joined the Trainee Corps.

Appearance

Description: The boy has black, straight, short length hair--arranged into a neat, combed back style, which he attends to dutifully to ensure it stays that way. When infuriated, or exhausted, his hair will occasionally become a bit messy, branching off into different directions until is it once again placed back into its proper order. His skin is a tanned light brown, his lips are normal sized and darker in complexion, and his nose is straight; his eyes are covered constantly by a large, rather blank-faced pair of dark-shaded glasses with strangely goggle-like rims, and his eyebrows are black and neatly straight. His overall body build is rather average, though he is missing a pinky finger on his left hand. His usual attire is that of whatever uniform the military requires him to wear, and--probably due to a lack of clothes--he will even be seen wearing this on his off-time. When he absolutely FORCED to go without uniform, he can be seen in his black, collared robe, making him look slightly affiliated with the members of the Wall Cult. Oddly enough, the robe does happen to have a ripped out area where a symbol might previously have been stitched...

Personality

Description: Nemo is never one to throw himself out in front of others, for attention or dedication. He finds it rather annoying to be nagged on constantly, so he just assumes others would prefer this as well. He'd rather spend his waking hours carrying out a quiet life, with the occasional conversation or reading session. His tone can often be misconstrued as uncaring, or sharp, but in truth, Nemo is simply unable to acknowledge certain things such as love. He does fear losing the respect of those around him, keeping up an almost constant image to ensure this does not happen. If something does happen to startle him, Nemo's second instinctual reaction is to counter with defensive measures...usually resulting in some sort of physical violence. He tends to keep himself hidden behind a visage.
Strengths: Nemo has a rather unsettlingly disciplined tongue, which he'll more often than not use to demeanor or abash someone with. He has a clear understanding of both the world and the creatures living within it. Because of this, he is able to understand many things without bias, and is also able to keep his cool in situations that could normally shock or disgust others. He doesn't complain about pain much, which allows him to overcome certain physical limitations in times of need. He also has an uncanny amount of knowledge on the workings of the bodies of animals and humans alike. His bone structure is a bit dense compared to most, causing him to sink when in water but withstand more blows to his skeleton.
Weaknesses: His attitude on pain can lead to him stalling short from a lack of energy, as he's never had a very strong heart. He is also rather unsettled by people who think in the same manner as himself, due in part to paranoia.
Likes: He prefers the company of others who are "normal", not really minding their age or appearances so long as they're strong of mind. He enjoys a good reading session now and again, and will attempt to read whatever he can find on the history of humanity and the world around him. Altare has had a long-time love affair with deviled eggs and, when he can find a musician capable of striking up a tune, the sound of the violin.
Dislikes: When in the company of someone who is rather timid, Nemo finds it rather difficult to restrain himself from assaulting them both physically and morally. He dislikes those with blatantly slow tongues, and finds the pampered to be rather disgusting. He hates chicken livers, calling them "flavorless sewer-food", and will assuredly maul you if you offer him some. The list could go on, but Nemo has never been a big fan of rambling without meaning...
Wants: Provided the opportunities approach within reach of him, Nemo would greatly like power, respect, knowledge, and associates of equal standards.
Fears: He fears losing the respect of those around him, finding it worthless to live without such a thing. When in the company of the opposite sex, he is always a bit on edge, never really knowing if what he says next will somehow insult them.

Background

Description: Due to the nature of his background, Nemo would prefer to keep this secreted away from others. He does happen to slur his words when frustrated though...
Birthplace: As a precautionary measure, Nemo constantly changes the stories of his birth, wrapping himself in a warm blanket of lies. His latest is that he was born in Utopia, home to monstrous snow-storms and terrible cold.
Family: Again, only those with a file on him will be able to tell who he was born to.
Other Affiliates: On occasion, Nemo has mentioned a former friend of his, Marx, whom he appears to have thought of as a sort of brother.

Standing at 4'8, Sage is a petite and slender girl. Her hair falls to her slender waist and she normally keeps it back in a braid. She weighs around 98lbs and has slight muscles from training. Her eyes are a bright gray that darken when she is angry, making them look like storm clouds. When she is in a content mood her eyes look like silver coins. Her complexation is fair and she burns rather easily in the sun.

_Description_

Generally a quiet girl, Sage normally fades into the background. She is the kind of person who prefers to take the pictures, not be in them. She tends to blurt alot of things out without realizing it or thinking about her words. Sage also gets embarrassed and flustered way too easily; often blushing and hiding her face. She is somewhat of a klutz, managing to trip over her own feet more often than not. However, she can be very stubborn if she feels like it. She also puts others needs before her own and in most cases she reacts without thinking of her own well-being: if someone is being hurt, Sage will immediately try and protect them with any means possible without even considering herself.

A decent cook, Sage is wary around knifes from the time she almost took her thumb off when chopping vegetables for dinner. She is a night owl and not much of a morning person. She can be very OCD when it comes to certain things. Having never had a boyfriend or even kissed a member of the opposite sex before, she is painfully clueless about the romance world. She is also considered a book worm and is normally seen curled up in a corner with her nose stuck in a book when not training.

_Description_

Sage grew up with two loving parents in the town of Shiganshina. Sage was a good child and never made a fuss. When she became a big sister at the age of eight, she did her very best to take care of her little brother Aiden. She didn't mind him following after her everywhere when he could walk, as other siblings would be. She loved her brother dearly and swore to always protect him. Then the Titans came. Sage didn't know what went wrong. She had been playing hide and seek with Aiden one minute and the next minute people were screaming and running in terror. In those first few seconds when she couldn't find Aiden, Sage had never been more scared in her life. When she finally found Aiden curled up in fear under a cart she grabbed his hand and ran as fast as she could towards their house. When they got there the building was in ruins and there were no signs of their parents at first. Frantic, Sage searched around in vain before she finally found her mother trapped under a beam from a neighboring house. The children tried to free her but as the thundering footsteps grew louder their mother screamed at Sage to take Aiden and run. With tears streaming down her cheeks, Sage gripped Aiden's hand tightly and took off towards the gate. However, it wasn't long before Sage felt Aiden's hand being ripped from hers. The girl could only watch in terror as a Titan lifted her screaming brother towards its mouth. A crunch, a splash of red and Sage felt a scream well up in her throat. Arms then wrapped around her as her father scooped her up and tore off towards the gate. Sage watched numbly over her fathers shoulder as her life was shattered into bits.

As Sage grew older her father eventually succumbed to his grief and passed away. The girl fell into a depression but eventually she felt rage stir in her heart. She would avenge her family. And she would prevent other children from having to go through what she did.

Description:

Standing at 5'9", Ryuu is very well toned and muscular, but certainly not a brawny boy by any standards. He has long, black hair that can fall down into his eyes if not kept in check. He weighs about 160 pounds, and most of that is due to muscle weight; he likes to keep his body fat ratio as low as can be considered healthy. His eyes are a sort of electric blue that seems to captivate those around him when paired with his long dark hair and fair skin complexion. Despite his fair skin complexion, Ryuu does not burn easy; he tans rather quickly instead. He wears a mask with the mouth of a Titan drawn on it; which covers up to his nose most of the time; unless he is around those he is comfortable with, the mask acting as a sort of sign which stated that he would be as ruthless to the Titans as they were to his family.

Personality

Description:

Having become acquainted with his darkest side, Ryuu is often a loner. He would rather be in a small group of close friends, or completely alone than at any social gathering. Ever. He is a man of action, choosing to keep his words and inner feelings to himself most of the time and let his actions do the talking. He has a burning desire to avenge all of those who have fallen, by killing every Titan he ever sees. Ryuu does not show much emotion other than anger, sadness, determination, or (only around his best friends which may be like 2 people or Sage) Happiness and Love. He is highly intelligent and was gifted with excellent reaction times, which help him fight rather well. Ryuu has accepted that death and pain are going to happen, so unless it is happening to somebody he cares about or he has a definitive reason to care for another person's well being; he won't. Ryuu is often the kind of person who one would discover sitting up on a roof or something late at night just to be alone and think, it is how the boy handles his inner pain.

He is always very composed unless certain triggers of his are hit, other than that Ryuu will not break composure and seems to be able to take any amount of stress or pressure and remain clam; a talent he tends to pride himself on. He is also very adept at multitasking and managing many things at once; making him a likely candidate to be excellent at 3DMG training and handling. As part of being somebody use to loss as well, Ryuu has certain people (only his best friends and lover) who he will guard unconditionally. Meaning, he will refuse to let any harm come to these people; especially Sage.

Background

Description:

Ryuu's history is a very dark one. He started out living among his family in their happy household near the inside perimeter of Wall Maria; his father a very well known baker in their neighborhood who brought plenty of money in so that Elizabeth could be a stay at home mom and spend her days watching over her children. Ryuu was quite used to hearing his parents talk about what they thought the outside world was like, so it didn't really come as much of a surprise to Ryuu whenever he was told by his parents that they would go on a family trip outside of the wall for a day. Nothing would happen, because Ryuu's father had gotten information that no Titans happened to be in the area they were going to visit. Of course, Ryuu read the excitement in his parents' expressions and couldn't wait to go see beyond the wall. So when the day came and the family all went outside, Ryuu trailing behind holding Lisa's hand while his parents walked side by side and holding onto little Kyle; Ryuu was eager to look around. This eagerness led to events that would forever haunt him. While Ryuu's family was busy gawking into a forest that they had discovered; the boy managed to sneak off to play among some rocks in the field nearby. He was having a great time until he heard sudden screams of terror, and pain. Ryuu sprinted back towards his family just in time to watch as Elizabeth, still clutching little Kyle, was dropped into the mouth of a lumbering 15 meter tall Titan. With a sickening crunch; its mouth closed and blood burst out of its mouth to splash the ground in front of Ryuu. The boy stood there, staring at his father and sister in pure horror as the final screams of Elizabeth echoed deep within his ears. The boy decided he had to save his remaining family somehow, but this thought was quickly killed as the Titan who devoured Elizabeth reached down and snatched both Lisa and Tadashi from their cover. It studied both of them with a hideous grin on its face as if it was genuinely pleased to see the two. Lisa, having noticed Ryuu, shrieked for the boy to run; but he was frozen in place as he watched the fate of his remaining family unfold. The Titan, apparently deciding that the two would serve well as final snack suddenly slammed the two together with such force that Lisa's smaller frame splintered and actually went into that of her father's... as if they become one in their final moment. It was at this time that Lisa's pleas managed to make it from Ryuu's ears to his Brian. He turned to run just as the Titan shoved its new sandwich into its ugly mouth and bit down; splattering their blood enough that some hit the clothes of the boy as he ran. Ryuu ran and ran until he reached the familiar wall again, unsure of exactly why the Titan never caught the boy or even gave chase; but now it didn't matter. Now Ryuu needed to find a place to live and grow until he was strong enough to take the fight to the Titans. To exact revenge upon the bastards who stole his family. It wasn't long after this event that the boy shut down to the outside world save for a select few; all in order to help him cope with the pain of his loss.

The boy wandered through the city until he found the home of a friend from school. Sage Watson, a girl who was roughly his age and was always reading. For some reason the boy had managed to make friends with the girl and had been to her house several times. So whenever her parents answered and saw the boy covered in blood and crying about Titans; they gladly took him in. He lived with them for another three years until the unthinkable happened, another Titan attack claimed the lives of two of that family. Ryuu added their names to the list of people who would avenge when he killed the Titans. After Sage's dad passed away the boy took the hand of the girl he had become so close to, looking her deep in the eyes with an expression of pure determination. One that would tell anybody, even this terrified girl that he meant every word he said. Then with a trembling voice he whispered to her: "It's just us now Sage, we have to stick together from now on and defend each other. I promise you I won't let any harm come to you ever again."

Almost all the time she will wear a blue ribbon or bow to hold her long hair up in a ponytail to keep it out of her face; after all, her hair is extremely long and gets messed up easily. Her eyes are also a little thinner and wider than most of the girls she knows, which knocks off her vision a little.

Description: Most of the time she's very nice and caring, but if you get on her bad side she will kick your arse...

Weaknesses: Her blurry vision sometimes gets in the way, becoming worse if moving too fast. Thaeans at certain times she will wear black square-like glasses.
Likes: She likes to sing every once and a while, usually when the younger kids are playing with her.
Dislikes: She doesn't like it when people compliment her about her looks, or strength then they find out she's in a poor family and they walk away.
Wants: Since her family is a poor and has a small house so she wants to earn money, or at least put some fame into her family.
Fears: She's afraid that her parents will die while still in a poor family, and not known for anything special other than their helpful strength.

Background

Description: She's in a very poor family, and has to work to get money. Since her entire family works, exercises, and makes their own food they're known for their extreme strength, and coincidentally having a last name that means "strength" and "power". Each generation of her family has had at least one person try one of the regiments, but she doesn't know that yet. She has her own reason why she joined.

Description: Teresa is usually depicted as very serious and unwavering, and rarely tolerates any type of misbehaviour. Thus, she becomes easily annoyed at the slightest of mistakes, especially those coming from other trainees. She's also very honest and sensitive, and never takes insults lightly. Teresa has a sharp tongue, and won't hesitate to fight back if pushed to her limits.

Teresa can be seen as a control freak, and hates it when things don't go her way. If assigned as a leader, she becomes very harsh and controlling. She's never afraid to show her cold side to others, and is difficult to earn respect for most people. Teresa is also very picky, and often watches others to pick out their quirks and bad qualities.

She's often heard saying, 'How bothersome...' when she's annoyed.

Strengths:

Despite her very serious nature, Teresa shows great skill in combat rather than strategising. Although she's rather tall, Teresa is very nimble, and can manoeuvre through trees with her 3DMG easily. Her hand-to-hand combat skills are quite frightening, as she also known to be exceedingly strong and quick.

She also possesses moderate intelligence, but not as great as the other trainees.

Weaknesses:

Teresa's biggest weakness - although not as serious - is her intelligence. She possesses a moderate amount, but is only capable of forming simple strategies. When doing so, she often requires assistance in forming more complex ones.

Likes: Reading, lit candles, tea, mushrooms.

Dislikes: Spiders, dark places, people she sees as annoying.

Wants: To make it into the Garrison and become a high ranking soldier.

Fears: Not being good enough to making it as a high ranking soldier, and not being able to find her childhood friend in the Garrison. She also doesn't seem fond of bugs either.

Description: Teresa was born as an only child in the Karanese District, along with her mother and father. They weren't the wealthiest family, but thankfully, they were able to manage for the next fifteen years.

Teresa's childhood wasn't really out of the ordinary. She had a few friends, but her frightening personality drove other children away. One of her friends was much older than her, and Teresa would often refer to her as her 'sis' because of their close relationship. Teresa and Eloise would spend a lot of time playing together in the streets, and were rarely seen inside their houses.

Once Eloise was old enough, she told Teresa how she wanted to join the Survey Corps after she graduated from the trainees. Astonished by this, Teresa tried to convince her out of it, saying Eloise's smarts would be fitter for the Garrison instead. Replying with a smile, Eloise reassured Teresa that it was just a small idea that came into her head, and that she knew the dangers of joining the Survey Corps. Eloise then left, joining the trainees at twelve.

As soon as Teresa was of age, she immediately considered of becoming a trainee, but when both of her parents fell ill, she had to stay and look after them for a while. Years passed and, even though her mother had managed to recover, her father's illness hadn't subsided. After her mother discovered Teresa's passion to become a high ranking Garrison soldier, she decided to let go, telling Teresa that she should follow her dreams and live them out. She explained that she didn't want her daughter to stay trapped in the house forever, and that she should go out fulfil her goal of making it into the Garrison.

Before saying goodbye to her mother and hometown, her mother said she would be proud of Teresa, no matter what happened. Teresa then left for the military at fifteen, almost at the brink of tears as she left.

Family: Clara Engelhardt - Teresa was very close to her mother, and they cared very much for each other. Clara knew when it was time to let her daughter walk her own path, and broke down in tears when Teresa left.

Gerald Engelhardt - Teresa had a close bond with her father, and was devastated to learn that he had fallen ill. She looked after him for two straight years, and waited for him and his wife to get better before Teresa joined the military.

Other Afflitiates: Eloise Freudenburg - A close childhood friend of Teresa, whom she saw as her older sister. Eloise left to join the military at age twelve, and was Teresa's inspiration to become a Garrison soldier. Not much is known about Eloise, other than that Teresa is one of her best friends and that she's two years older than Teresa.

Tora is a tall, rather lean yet lithe girl. She wears the appropriate trainee uniform almost always, with a dark gray dress shirt buttoned
to her collar at all times. The redhead is covered in scars, and with her hidden insecurity, hides the terrible chunks of missing skin from her hands
with black, fingerless, leather gloves. She hides the slash like scars of a blade on her forearm with her always rolled down to the palms style of
long sleeves, and the whip like scars trailing from the nape of her neck to her tailbone are always well covered. Tora also has a long scar following
the right side of her face, trailing exactly on her cheekbone from her eye to her lips. The girl is also very pale in the face, and doesn't seem to burn
or tan in the slightest when out and about in the sun. Her curly, blood red hair reaches just past her shoulders, with the right side of her head shaved
to the scalp.

Personality: Tora is a very unlikable person. She despises that of any sort of requirement of social interaction, and tends to keep very quiet.
She stays within her own mind, and is a very, VERY stubborn girl. Though her quiet and rather hostile nature, the redhead tends to break with her
sort of "soft spot" for children. And though silent, she is noble, and would gladly take a bullet for a comrade. The redhead also has an extremely short fuse,
and could set off a fist fight if for good reason. Tora is also quite the bookworm, and when
not sleeping or training, can always be found somewhere, isolated from any other human beings, with a book in her face.

Strengths: Tora has very quick reflexes, and is good in means of physical speed. Hand to hand combat is nearly her best subject.
Weaknesses: Speaking her mind, or speaking at all for that matter. She is a bit slow in means of 3DMG training, and has a habit of loosing her balance.
And with her extremely "quick" reflexes, Tora jumps at nearly everything that sounds behind her.

Likes: A long novel, tofu, sleeping, and if she truly has nothing else to do, drawing away with charcoals.
Dislikes: Public speaking, having to lead, large bodies of water, and fish. [Although it really seems like she dislikes simply everything]

Wants: To safely achieve entering the Scouting Legion with her two older brothers at her side, and restore the glorification of humanity.
Fears: Failing everyone, even herself.

Background

Description: Tora is the youngest born of a set of five children. Her Mother, Father, Brothers, and Sister all lived together in a small but homely
cottage. The redhead was a bubbly and bright little thing as a child, and always had the goal of joining the Scout Regiment just as her Father had. Two of
her older siblings already had been recruited with them, and the other two were just as starry-eyed about the idea as she was. At the age of seven, the Excali family
suffered the loss of the two older siblings in the Survey Corps; the both of them having not made it back from an expedition. Tora, her Mother and Father, and now her
only remaining brothers grieved for what seemed like ages, and at the age of ten, another loss was at hand. Being the village they resided in, the Excali family was
a bit remote. A small village, where everyone just about knew everyone. An also very loud village...where it was a bit difficult to scream and have someone hear you
over the ruckus of speaking and the annual celebrations the community held. And it was on a loud day like this, where Tora was taken away. On a pale winter morning, with
Tora's older pair of siblings already being shipped off to Trainee Boot Camp, the redhead was kidnapped, and her Mother and Father left for dead. Slave traders then brought the small
girl to somehwere underground, where she recieved countless beatings, and fufilled the tasks of a servant until she finally made escape at the age of thirteen, with the aid of a helpful and sneaky little boy who had grown
up in the underground, but was never successful in escaping on his own. After having an unexpected reunion with
her brothers at the gates of Wall Rose, Tora and the boy were taken and admitted to the infirmary on trainee grounds. After a long recovery, they were both healthy enough once more to join the 132nd trainees regiment. With
her home nothing but a deserted bloodbath now, the redhead didn't look back.

Family: Father- [Deceased] Lucious Excali I- A towering giant of a man, with a kind heart and a free spirit. A retired Scouting Legion Captain. You would take his personality to that of a teenager, and his old age was never something that stopped him.

Mother- [Deceased] Rhona Excali - A retired Captain of the Garrison. A loving and sweet woman, who adored her family to wits end, and supported her children's decisions, despite her slight overattatchment.

Sister- [Deceased] Aura Excali - Aura was a gentle yet fierce person in means of personality. She resembled strongly of her Father, and being the firstborn child of the Excali family, she was always absolutely doted upon by her siblings.

Brother-[Deceased] Lucious Excali II- A brooding and overprotective older brother, who always sought to please his family with his natural sense of leadership.

Brother - Keiji Excali- An intelligent young man, with a warm heart and good intentions, who had served the military until the news of his family. Keiji deserted the Military Police soon after, and disappeared. Only to have created one of the most powerful underground gangs in Wall Sina.

Brother - Satoru Excali- Satoru is a headstrong man, who jumps into things before thinking them through. A very brave Scout, who protects his younger sister almost viciously after her return, Tora now being the only blood related family he has left.

Other Afflitiates: Honorary Sibling- Lucas Kade- The boy who aided Tora in her escape from the underground. A mute sort of lad, whom he is completely inseperable with his redheaded friend.

Honorary Sibling- Rentaro "Lindow" Excali- A soldier whom grows attatched with Tora, and even takes up the family name as a sign of respect and belonging after being abandoned by his own at a young age.

Comrade- Kurai "Recon" Maurine- Tora's closest friend, who has the same brotherly protectiveness over her stubborn nature. A rude yet quiet boy.
