Personality: Silzard has spent his entire life being groomed for the mantle of leadership, and his personality reflects that. He is aloof and uses his words tactically, maintaining a stoicism that even those who know him struggle to penetrate. He is quick to suppress his own desires if they conflict with the interests of House Tosen, but he holds fast to his morals even when a more dubious path would yield greater results. The only person who sees behind his mask is his younger sister, Lorelai, who he has always been fiercely protective of. She is the only one who knows that the compassionate Silzard, from the years of youth before the burdens of his house were laid upon his shoulders, is still alive.
Short Biography: The first and only son of the House Tosen's patriarch, Silzard was destined to inherit his rule from the day of his birth. He spent his youth undergoing rigorous study in many fields that he would need to manage the family holdings beginning with war and extending to politics and agriculture. Needless to say, he did not have much time to spend as a youth, but what hours were his he chose to spend alone, typically reading of magic and adventures that were not included in his study. He had a heart that yearned to travel, even at a young age, and cursed being confined to the Tosen lands by the shackles of his blood.
That all changed when his sister was born. He read her books when she was small, and was the one who taught her how to read before her tutors did. She made him smile and feel a sense of kinship that his distant father did not, and he decided that he would be her protector. During the assassination attempt on the Tosen family Silzard defended her from the assailants, and when she decided to learn the sword afterwards he took to tutoring her.
In recent years, his father has taken ill and most of the responsibilities of the Tosen Household have slowly shifted to him, making him the leader of House Tosen in all but name. Although he does not show it, the loss of so many innocents to the demons plaguing Sariwon has made him desperate. That is why he is ready to put aside the feud with House Aseryo and join forces to combat the threat.
