I don't particularly see any overlap, Laurel can only conjure already formed weapons or create them from metal she already has on hand. Your description of Cori's abilities only encompasses that she can conjure metal from within the Earth and money. The only similarity there is the substance. Laurel has nothing to do with money only weapons and blacksmithing.

I'm assuming that it's going to be a similar way like the Percy Jackson Books(to my known knowledge) and they're going to be figures in the mythology instead of being actual Demigods/Demigoddesses. I mean it makes sense that these figures would be chosen by teh gods to teach and train their children, yes? Of course, Hushed is free to correct me if I'm wrong.
