Jed takes a step forward unscared. he was almost burned alive so he was not afraid of the pain.

Jack raised his hand above his head as a pillar of fire explodes into his hand which shaped into a one sided sword with a jagged edge, his his other hand was a red scabbard that he sheathed the sword into

"Your weapon is embermere"

Jed's hand twitched from the pain but he didnt try to show that much pain. He remembers the night of the fire and hearing his family screaming in pain

Embermere turned into a mesh of light and was absorbed into Jed's nightcrest

Jack said in a humorous tone"now follow me, it's time to learn to use your new powers"

Jed follows Jack holding his hand that has the nightcrest on it.

Jack leads them to a closed off garden roughly the size of a school.

The place has a serene atmosphere with lush grass and trees followed by a small pond,"here we will practice summoning your nightbane"

Jed nodded at Jack ready for the training.

Jack walked to the middle of the sanctum and sat crossleged"your nightcrests hold many powers, such as your nightbanes, Powerful weapons that could, in the hands of an expert would the gods themselves"

Jack raised his right hand as his nightcrests lit up, in his hand manifested a rough image of a crossbow that let out an explosion of white light in the form of an upwards beam that shaped into razorsong, sending outwards a faint draft of wind"just like such"

Jed looks at Jack smirking. "What do we need to do to learn to summon them?" He asked. He wasnt confident he just was glad to help his friend. He was worried for him even though he seems not not know how to show it

@cara214"it's not easy at first but you get the hang of it after 2-3 tries" jack explains

"Jed, your nightcrests is fire so you need to focus on that, with a clear mind, imagine a pillar of fire arising from your hand, shape that pillar into your sword and focus it into your nightcrests."

Jed focuses on fire. a pillar started to form in his hand. he flinches and it explodes causing jed to be thrown into a bush.

@cara214jack nearly laughed"you'll get it eventually"

Jed grumbles trying to free himself from the bush

@cara214jack ended up laughing as he turned to nova

@yukisaa"wanna give it a try?"

@Blizz still holding the weapon in my hand, takes a moment. "I'm ready" i said, getting into a stance.

@yukisaajack waved his hand, making novas scythe disappear

"Nova, your nightcrest is shadow, so focus on that, imagine a mesh of purple energy emitting from your nightcrest, then roughly shape it into your scythe, then more specifically until it takes the form of a scythe."

nodding my head to show that i understand Jack. I closed my eyes trying to picture a purple light emitting from the NightCrest, only to get nothing. Opening my eyes, i looked down to see if anything work. "Man, is this hard" mumbling to myself, closing my eyes and trying it over and over again.
about 5 minutes had past, with still nothing coming from the nightcrest. I started to get a little angry, when i noticed a little purple light.
"I think i have something" i said Happily, losing the anger inside of me, only to have to light go out.
"oh! Come one!!" in an anger voice, to have the little light show up again.

@yukisaajack calmly said"you have to keep your focus, once you get it right the first time it will be easy."

"you know, i have this weird feeling, that this thing likes to feed after negative feeling? or is it just me?" asking, trying again, only to get nothing.
