What's Dues Ex Machinima?

Deus Ex Machina is basically when some convoluted event occurs where people are saved from an impossible situation.

Something like the Sword of Gyffindor appearing from a magical hat that Harry uses to kill the Basilisk. Followed by another Deus Ex Machina where he then gets poisoned by basilisk's venom and is SAVED BY A PHOENIX WITH MAGIC TEARS.

That would depend on the situation. Anybody could receive air support in a tough firefight. But if the air is swarming with enemies and air support is impossible because of it. All hopes are lost. The enemy is gonna win. Then suddenly BAM! Random RKO EMP OUTTA NOWHERE! The enemy aircraft all drop from the sky and your gunship flies in, clears the field and saves the team despite the fact that his vehicle should have been affected by the EMP as well. <-- That is a Deus Ex Machina.

Well! I took my eyes off of the computer for a short ten or so minutes and it decides to automatically update on me. Lost EVERYTHING. >.<

So. With stupid amouns of frustration after having been typing for almost 5 god damn hours, I'm going to have to post pone the IC for tomorrow where I can spend another huge sum of time. Sorry, everybody. RPing will need to wait for another day.

@Whoami I have over a hundred word documents for previous RPs, and save constantly. Sometimes I don't want to keep something I'm writing so I open an empty doc, but the compulsion to save frequently is so strong I have to name the document because I keep trying to hit the save button subconsciously.

Posted! The first IC post covers the 'antagonists' and gives us our motive. These aren't going to be characters you can kill outright, they are going to be recurring enemies throughout the RP.

The Illuminati have many headquarters around the world, but since the immortals have been thinning out due to the 'Long Sleep', the remainder have consolidated all of their critical information to their Oceanic Level base in the Mariana Trench. It is dubbed as Atlantis.
