Christa Einheart, odd girl and wilderness obsessor, Frowned softly and tilted her head to the side. She had been on a hike with a...strange...group of new friends. They were quite the rag-tag kind of gang. She tilted her head to the other side and started sniffing the air. Rain was on the way and she didn't like it. "We...probably should go in there. We have weapons, so if someone gives us trouble, it should be ok."

Now, she wasn't the...'leader'...per se. She was just...VERY experienced in these woods and she knew what a heavy rainstorm could do to someone out here in the cold parts of the USA.

Piper had been hiking for hours and was loving it. The serenity of the woodlands was a bit quieter than she would have liked, but anything to get her heart pumping was worth it in her books. She looked over to the old house that Christa was pointing to. It looked like the kind of place where a creepy old man in the woods once lived. The kind of house that kids tell ghost stories about. Wicked. She thought to herself, hoping the place had a working fireplace. She was looking forward to cooking up some herbal s'mores later.
"Damn." She muttered. "That's exactly the kind of creepy murder house I was hoping we would find."

Christa let out a surprised laugh and gave her a short gleeful look before returning to her usual serene smile. She started moving, letting the others decide as they would. She stood in the doorway, grateful for a little shelter from the filtered sunlight. She sat down and crossed her legs under her, putting her hands in the small space in the center and propping herself up with it, closing her eyes and softly singing with her beloved Coby.

Piper opted to explore inside the place, stepping through the doorway and into the decrepit interior. She wandered around the foyer, picking at the peeling walls and poking around in the detritus. The whole place was lousy with the smell of mothballs and rot. Not the most pleasant combination there ever was, but Piper had spent three months in a van with three guys on tour so she had dealt with worse.

Christa rose an eyebrow and waited quietly on the others. She quietly tilted her head to the side and smiled gently. She sniffed the air and hummed softly to a gentle song. Christa allowed Piper to go in, simply because she had explored the place before and knew it to be safe...ish.

Be walked past he was glad that Christi had found shelter (he wouldn't want to get his firework wet), he looked around the house with the others and he had to admit it looked pretty sweet it had this cozy-creepy feel to it. he walked upstairs an found what appeared to be an old children's bedroom it had seven beds,one cradle and a rocking horse, he felt a bit nostalgic seeing it since he used to own one when he was younger. but as he looked around the room he noticed something on one of the walls

He became a bit curious so he walked closer to it, it was a picture of eight children
he thought they were wearing sunglasses as he couldn't see there eyes expect for the babies. the picture was giving him the creeps so he turned the frame towards the wall "Creepy" he said and walked out the door

Christa smiled a little and got up, going inside finally. She slid her hand along the walls as she walked, ignoring the dust gathering on her fingertips. She continued to hum her music, trying not to sing out loud and annoy people. She put on a creepy song for the atmosphere. It was a Nightcore, called The Devil Within.

Piper poked around in the old fireplace, trying to figure out if she would be able to get anything going without torching the place. The flume was rusted shut over the years and she sighed. It looked like the smores would have to be eaten cold. It wasn't quite the same though.
"Man this place is cool, but kind of a bummer, huh? Like it's all abandoned and shit. Kinda lonely." She said to nobody in particular.

Christa rose an eyebrow. "I've been here before...no one's lived here in years, sadly...but the structure's pretty strong and there's no problems with the upstairs."

[RhineQueen]

"Doesn't look like we'll be able to get much a fire going though." Piper said, looking up the stairs. "The place is pretty rusted down. So looks like cold s'mores tonight, gang, sorry."

She shook her head. "I apologize, Piper." Then crouched and sneaked along, looking for signs of something. She got on her hands and knees, sniffing the ground and crawling along in a very odd behavior.

Piper looked at her with a raised eyebrow, wondering what she was doing.
"You find a clue there, Scooby-Doo?" She asked.

She let out a low growl and ignored her, then found something. It was a small photo.


On the back was a simple date.

Piper wandered over and picked up the photo, her lip curling as she examined it.
"Okay." She said. "I officially have the heebiest of jeebies."

She hissed softly. "We should leave..." the girl whispered, trying to stand without bumping into Piper. "Be? We need to leave..."

[Drakeonis]

Abraham had been doing what he normally did best and had been silently blending into the background. He didn't really know why he was following these people but no one had shooed him away yet so he assumed he was alright. He had massive objections to entering the creepy rundown shack on account of all the horror movies he had seen, but as usual said nothing and followed in anyway and spent most of his time looking around the beaten down building until the Christa girl suddenly said they had to leave. "Thank God. This place was really starting to freak me out."

She smiled a little and turned to leave...but found the doors gone. "W...what on the Holy Earth?" She started walking around the building and looking for doors or windows. "Guys?"

Things got murky and dark, whispers were heard around them...

[Drakeonis]

"Oh what the hell is this?!" He yelled as everything got dark and the whispers around them started. He brandished the axe he had carried for splitting firewood instinctevly. "Um what's the protocol here?"

She closed her eyes, trying to remember the Horror Movie Rules To Survival.

As the rooms darkened Piper glared into the shadows, pulling out her straight razor and holding it ready.
"Looks like we're gonna have to take a raincheque on the whole getting out thing." She muttered. "I vote we break the fucking walls down."
