Then Blake, being sufficiently dramatic, walked off. He stormed off, wanting to get as far away from here as possible. He was not interested in seeing other people.

Penelope was a bit disappointed when Mictlanteuhtli cut in right as Neven was about to speak. Her interest in his origin was immediately set aside, however, when she registered his announcement. Weren't they here to learn? Corny as it may sound why would the staff be worried about dating?

Conveniently enough, Blake voiced her concerns perfectly. She was about to join him in protest when Mictlanteuhtli spoke once more. What did he mean the could not leave unless they paired with someone here? Looking around the room she scoffed how ridiculous that was. There were only a handful of males and and females even here to pair up with. And god, why so soon? We don't even know all our names yet! Her mind was racing as she scanned the faces of the others for their reactions.

All the commotion was a perfect distraction, Aaron slipped of to the side with his back to the others.
Quickly he flicked open a few of the lower buttons of his shirt and peeled it back to peer beneath the light stain from earlier.
There in the shape of the stain the skin had become bright red, inflated and blistered. He suddenly understood the sensations he was feeling through this body... It couldn't tolerate high heats.
'How unfortunate' he thought to himself as he hastily did his buttons back up while looking around to make sure no one was near him. He needed to get to the infirmary but to get out he needed a date.

"Alright" he calls out casually joining the group, another tasty treat in hand to disguise his short absence.
He raises a hand. "Pair me up, sir" he says to Mictlantecuhtli.

This was all one big game, Aaron liked games. And he was going to win!

Neven viewed the others with some degree of indifference. It seemed Blake and possibly Abelia shared his view that this whole thing was stupid, of course Blake was petty enough to storm off. It was far better to stalk off with cold indifference, perhaps he would act better when he had more experience. Aaron on the other hand seemed to be enjoying the idea for some strange reason. "Is that all you had in mind for this little party of yours or can we go?" Neven asked dryly; personally he wanted to take a nap.

Regarding the dating, he would date who he wanted, when he wanted. Money be dam- danged. He wouldn't very well starve to death here, that would be complicated for a number of reasons. Oh surely he would 'date' whoever their brave leader wanted him to, but he wouldn't take it seriously. All he had to do was ensure that he made it home by the end of the year and he didn't care much for what happened at this puny excuse for a school. Neven didn't have any experience with schooling but from what he'd heard having less than 10 people was abnormal. He grabbed one of the scones and viewed it briefly before setting it back down, it looked faintly repulsive.

Mictlantecuhtli was delighted in the results of his announcement. It seemed like Blake had his choice picked out and she had not shown much emotion and actually he was not sure if she was listening or not. Neven was a bit downish for some reason even before he made his announcement so something is bothering him. Need to keep an eye on him...Penelope was a bit upset like, perhaps she was not happy about his decision of the dating game. Hmmmmm.... Aaron checked on something on his chest or stomach... wonder what it is that bothering him? I need to investigate this.....Now he is too eager to be paired up, wonder why? Neven was seeming to be holding back his emotions…..

There are two ….lets say more darker stores of a sort. They are located on Diablo Road. The first is the Bar. Anyone will be served alcohol but if you get into a bar fight, you pay the damages. The other one is Gambler’s Delight. The same rule applies. And yes there is a jail which you do not want to visit.
The last item of business. I am giving each of you a special notebook which you should keep with you at all times. The reason why is that it is your passport back to your new home. Each of you will be given this so that I can record your attendance at various functions. It will also help me keep track of what to pay you.
Each week you will need to drop it off in the mailbox. I will take care of it from there.
The week starts on Monday so sometime between Monday and Wednesday.
After I give this out to each person, that person may leave with the first Activity signed. If you have any questions or comments to make to me, I will stay here for a while. Please step to the table and I shall give your pass book. If you want another color other than black, you may purchase at it at Gifts Galore. The first person is Aaron.” Mictlantecuhtli swiftly signed his name and pushed the Passport to the front of the table. He continued to call out names in alphabetical order.

Penelope watched as Aaron slipped away, and while she couldn't see what he was picking at exactly, she assumed he probably had been burned earlier like she thought. She wanted to feel bad for him and maybe even help when he jerked back around suddenly, as if he was eager to play this sick little game. What the hell was wrong with these people?

It was a question for another day. Instead she sat motionless, waiting for her name to be called. This man was obviously insane, and if there was one thing she was not going to do, it was argue with a psycho. She'd take her book and leave without a word. And as soon as she was away from these lunatics she'd get her things from her room and get the hell out of here. If there was ever a time to curse her last name it was now. "Whitewoode" would more than likly mean she'd be getting hers last she guessed. I mean really, all this chaos for an asinine little game and he chooses now, to use order. And aphabetical of all things..

Kameyo was walking frantically about campus, letter at hand. I can't believe I got the date wrong!! How could I be such a ditz, this is important!! I am so ridiculously late, I hope they'll still let me in. She found it odd how there didn't seem to be anyone around...anywhere. This is a new school, so I suppose that's understandable. As she was about to give up on finding someone, Kame spotted a rather intimidating man at some sort of entrance. Even though she would rather do anything BUT approach him, however she really had no choice. Taking a deep breath she slowly made her way. "H-hello. I'm sort of lost. You see I was accepted here, but i'm really..really late. Could you tell me where I could find the person in charge?" Kameyo shows him the letter hoping it will help convince him.

The guard looked at the girl and held out his hand.
"May I see your papers? Most of the other girls were here earlier this week. I expect that you missed the Tea Party they were having today..... you papers are in order. I'll page Mictlantecuhtli who will actually do the honors of allowing you in. Just a minute."
The guard went inside a hidden door beside a few bushes. After a few minutes he came back out and simply said
"The door is open for you and you may go inside now."

"Wait" a voice calls out behind Kameyo. There stood a tall young man with piercing eyes. His long trench coat fluttered in the wind as he casually approached. He removes a hand from its place in his pocket to meet the cigaret that had been lingering on his lips, after one more deep final drag he rolls it on his finger and flicks it away off to the side.

"Hold up I'll come back in with you." He pulls out some similar papers and shoves them in the guards face as he passes by.
"So little lady, where we off too? The pub? The casino?" He flashes he an unnerving grin.

Neven stepped forward and grabbed a book, not caring if it was his or not. "Since it looks like this party is over, I'm going to my room." Neven said bluntly and did just that. Once he arrived at his room he checked out the book. They actually expected him to use this? Whatever, he signed his name and got on his laptop browsing for some clothing for the masquerade and the 80's thing. Though he was considering ditching the 80's party, the masquerade ball was much more appealing. After a bit of searching he rubbed his eyes and yawned, while that was enough effort for one day, time for a nap.

Kameyo entered, avoiding eye contact with the bold stranger. She tugged slightly at the end of her pigtail as she walked. It was what she always did when she was nervous. A bad habit really. "I s-suppose I was going to see this...Mictlantecuhtli person." She had never been very good at talking to strangers. Especially not attractive guys. ESPECIALLY not attractive bad-boy type guys who just go and GRIN OUT OF NO WHERE. *inward sigh* jeez, I need to get it together. "I wanted..to make sure I had everything I needed...and what I need to catch up on..." Sure she was of age, but Kame had never been to a pub, bar or any sort of club.

"Suit yourself." He says with a casual shrug. "just one favour." he half asks as he reaches into a jacket pocket, flicking out a phone and aiming in her direction, "Smile!".
There was a sudden and quick 'kerchick' sound as a small flash of light went off and he took her photo. "Until you send me something sexier" he mumbles to himself flicking through the phones options.
"Well what name do I save this against?" He asks looking back up at the girl, seeming slightly impatient.

Mictlantecuhtli looked up from his signing his name when he heard his name.
"That would be me. Have a seat and enjoy a cup of tea and whatever is left of the tea party."

He went to work on his signing, not caring much about the newcomers yet. After he had signed his last PassBook, he closed his pen, stood up and walked towards the two newcomers.

"Even though it is late in the day, I want the two of you to get caught up by morning. I will send a folder to your apartment. Read it and
sign onto the laptop. Do all that is in the laptop.
The female will go into Apartment 10 and the male will go into Apartment 11. Sit tight and I shall be back soon."

Mictlantecuhtli turn and left them to their own devices while he went to get their things. He hated being unprepared and he couldn't have everything with him at all times........... In fact he was agitated that his perfect plan was not going down as well as it should have. The Ta Party was not the success that he expected. Humans should be grateful for the chance to mingle with Demons even though they didn't have their powers........ His walk was faster than normal and the is the only sign of how agitated Mictlantecuhtli was. If one was to study his walk, they would learn much about him.

Kameyo blushed, Something sexier?! What exactly does he expect?! She decided it would be but to do as he said and stay put. "My name is Kameyo, but my friends call me Kame." Kame didn't really think of him as a friend, they DID just meet, but she didn't see any reason to be rude either. Even though she was pretty sure she just got hit on. She decided to nibble on a few cookies until Mictlantecuhtli got back. Maybe I should try and get along with him, it would be pretty awkward otherwise. We'll be living right next to each other after all.

Bessie listened to Mictlantecuhtli’s speech and was not happy about the outcome of the so called Dating Game. He was just too much of himself sometimes but all of this is free so…… She had to do what she had to do. She walked him by herself so she could think a bit.
Mictlantecuhtli was aggravated that some people- human and demon both- tend to be late. He only hoped that they were not drama queen or king. He sat down at his desk and composed himself into the normal unfeeling man.
Once he had each folder ready, he signed their PassBook, got their cell phone and their
Catalog Tablet in a box. A key was taped to the boxes with the room number on the boxes and folders.
He walked rather quickly back to the cafeteria where he left the two to talk.
“I am terribly sorry about the delay. I thought everyone was here that was coming this session. Here is the folder. Each of you will get a box and here is a map for you. I am sure that you are eager to see your Apartment and what I have provided for you. Be sure to read what is on the Laptop and your entrance code is inside the folder.
Are there any questions?” Mictlantecuhtli asked politely as he passed out the items.

Welcome to an Elite yet free Academy for special students.
Here you will meet many people from all walks of life and styles of living. We believe that you should be allowed to make your own decisions as long as it does not bother or harm another being in this Academy Community. I will present the benefits of this Academy.
First: You may choose classes and be paid for them according to the Participation and Testing results. In other words, to get more money after the initial amount, you will need to take classes, participate in various activities and you may choose to even get a job.
Second: You may not leave the Academy Community on field trips unless you are a Student in Good Standing.
Thirdly: You will also be paid for keeping your apartments in excellent working order. That means it must be kept clean and neat.
Fourth is what most of you will be anticipating. How much money will you get. If you comply with all of the first three Benefits, you will have $500 deposited into your mail box each month.
Some of you think that this is a pittance but you are not paying rent or anything but food and clothes… well cleaning supplies of course.
Now on to what has been provided for you this one time.
1) Vacuum cleaner, broom, dust pan, feather duster, mop, mop bucket and all the cleaning supplies in your house keeping closet.
2) Flour and sugar in ten pounds amounts.
Coffee and tea- two pounds each.
Salt, pepper and other normal spices- one container.
Two pounds of hot dogs.
Ten pounds of hamburgers.
Three pounds of beef steak.
Ten pounds of chicken.
Cheeses in three pound blocks- cheddar, mozzarella, colby, swiss

To All Students:
By now you should have found your Apartment. Maybe even settled in and have left to shop. However, all shops are closed today. They will be open tomorrow.
Here are the business hours.
Infirmary- never closes
Lobby- never closes
Cafeteria- open for lunch on Mondays to Friday from 11:30 to 12:30. You will be allowed
1 entrée, 1 veggie, 1 fruit, 2 breads, 1 sweet, drinks are free
Bookstore –open from 11:30- 12:30, all supplies that are required for your classes are free
Busses- will run 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM Sunday through Saturday; Friday and Saturday

In each mailbox will be a cell phone in it. It will have all of the numbers of every Student, Business and I. I will be available to you between the hours of 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM unless it is an Emergency in which you will go to the Infirmary.
On each first Friday of the month there will be a check in the mail box for you which will be based on what you did during the month before. Here is how you will be paid:

Classes count: 5% of pay per class (up to 6 classes)
Clean Room: 30%
Activities: 30%
Bonus: 10%
Total: 100%
If you do not take 6 classes, you will only get paid only for the ones that you take. If you do not get all of the percentages for all 3 categories, you will not get the last 10% (Bonus )
You must pass the classes and not just sit around in class. Your teachers will report on each of you daily as part of their daily duty.
I will be overseeing your Activities and will show up on your doorstep from time to time. I won’t warn you of an upcoming visit. Be prepared and be a gracious host/hostess.
There will be Community Functions each week. For starters, there will be an Afternoon Tea tomorrow afternoon at 4:00. Come and meet your fellow students.
We shall have a Costume Ball and Dance on Saturday Night. You may make an appointment to go to the Performing Arts Center to choose a free costume. Appointments start at 8:15 tomorrow and ends at 6:PM. Keep your costume secret! There are voice changers as well. Be creative and have fun!
While you are at Performing Arts Center, find another outfit for Sunday’s Outing in the Park. Everyone will be dressed in 1800s. There is a costume book in your mailbox for easy choosing. There is only one costume of one type per student in both events.
On Monday, classes will start. You will be given a list of supplies. The Book Store will be open all day this one time.
Speaking of classes…..
All Dance Classes will be held in The Dance Hall in the mornings.
All Etiquette Classes will be held in The Dance Hall in the afternoons.
All Theatrical Classes will be held in the Performing Arts Center mornings.
All Music Classes will be held in the Performing Arts Center in the afternoons.
Find Your Way to Fitness will be held in the Gym at your own convenience. You must check in at least 3 times a week.
Rest of the Classes will be held in the Academy.

Tea Notes:
By now you have settled into your apartments and have spoken to a few people around you. That is good. Now you are going to be mixed up and will be partnered by me. You will be civil to the person who you are partnering. Each week you will have a different partner.
The reason for this is so that each person will get a chance to know everyone else. After we have exchange partners and have had a week with a different partner, each person can choose who they wish to date.
Everyone will be required to use a voice disguiser and wear a mask with your masquerade costume. It will be in your room at the Ball Room. The males will use one side and the females will be on the other side. I will allow one male and female to go inside the hallway to change. They have five minutes to find their room and get inside. Then I will let the next ones inside. Each person will stay inside until the chiming of the clock. Then everyone must be ready or no one will come out until all are ready.
Once everyone is ready to go, the males will go down their stairway and the females will go down their own stairway. Each female will have a card where upon the men will sign their number on the ladies card with their chosen pen. Each pen will be a feather pen that will have a number on it. Make sure that your number is showing at all times.
We shall have four dances. Two before dinner and two after dinner. After the last dance, I will announce who will be dating who for that week.

"Kame, right." His eyes scan the room and the remaining food. "Well" he sighs aloud, uninterested in anything he saw, "Catch-ya around" he says swiping up his stuff under one arm and walking out the room without so much as even a nod goodbye.

Meanwhile Aaron checked him self into the infirmary which was conveniently just next door. He needed those tea burns sorted. That little accident had turned out to be a big inconvenience and was encroaching on his study time but more importantly he just wanted to go and knock on Julia's door and see where she was and why she wasn't at the tea..
He impatiently hurried the nurses as they tended to his wound.

Penelope made her way to the front and collected her book along with the others. She avoided eye contact with the man and promptly made her exit. She made beeline for the apartments hoping to catch Julia along the way. She had missed the tea party and probably had no idea about the conditions of attending. She cringed at an uninvited thought. Or what if she had? Everyone in that room was not as concerned as they ought to have been, but sweet little Julia? Wouldn't that have been strange.

Kame took her box and headed straight for the dorms. Luckily for her she had passed them whilst trying to find people. She wanted to get started right away since she was expected to be caught up so soon. It is really my fault for being late after all. She kept her head down and hurried along until she got to the apartment. "Number 10 right?" Kameyo unlocked the door and turned on the light. "Wow..." The apartment was actually really nice, they had even decorated! She was pretty sure she heard Mictlantecuhtli say he had provided this. "I'll have to remember to thank him later." She took her folder and box and sat down at the computer.
Reading everything in order, she decided this wasn't half bad. She found it odd that they weren't allowed to leave, but hey, she was fine with that. Her uncle had been talking about arranging her a marriage (pretty common in her family) and now she had a excuse to not see any of them. She went through the list of things that were provided and saw that yes, yes they were in fact there. Kame was a little weird-ed out that somehow they knew her bra size but she decided not to think about it too much. She also thought it was really nice of them to give the students money. Now to log onto the computer.
Kameyo read through the store information..."Wait we get paid to take classes?! That's awesome!" Odd as it may be, this was actually a pretty nice place to be. She made note to get prepared for the Ball. "Ooh a form!" She was glad there was something to fill out to show she had actually been going through all of this.

Neven ordered his clothing and jumped on his surprisingly comfortable bed. For human-made anyway. He closed his eyes and waited for sleep to overtake him, normally his demon form didn't need sleep save for very rarely but from what he understood humans spent a lot of time sleeping and that was alright with out. Unfortunately sleep wasn't coming very easily so he just lay there idly day-dreaming about when he would finally return home. It had already been too long.
