If Guildfall happens then half my University portfolio goes with it :/
@Byrd Man If you're referring to Tiger Shark as Todd Arliss, then that causes some concerns for me. I was going to do his whole origin and introductory storyline with Namor later :/

| ORIGIN & BACKSTORY: |Based in the Andromeda Galaxy, the Guardians of the Galaxy are freedom fighters formed by a diverse group of beings. The founding members are Yondo Udonta of Alpha Centauri, Charis-Nar, Thaddeus Bach and the Kryptonian H'el. Founded in order to bring the wealth of the empire to rim planets, the Guardians of the Galaxy operated as a sort of cosmic Robin Hood.
The Guardians of the Galaxy started nearly forty standard galactic years ago. During this time, the Centauri known as Yondu was operating as a rogue agent, hired by the planet Rann to transport much needed medical supplies through a Thanagarian blockade during the height of the Rann/Thanagar War. Imprisoned on the planet Spartax, Yondu found himsefl shackled alongside a Spartoi by the name of J'Son. Forging an alliance, Yondu and J'Son managed to create a prison break. During the chaos, Yondu encountered the Kryptonian H'el who too had been captured by the Thangarians. Once they had escaped from the Thanagarian prison, J'Son revealled himself to be the heir to the Spartoi throne and enlisted further help from Yondu and H'el in order to free his planet from Thanagarian control.
As a token of his thanks, J'Son gifted Yondu with a new ship, the Aurora. Departing from Spartax with H'el in tow, Yondu returned to his original mission to help the people of Rann, taking the fight to the Thanagarians. Ambushing a prison transport, Yondu and H'el release those taken by the Thanagarian army as well as finding sympathizers in Thaddeus Bach and Charis-Nar. A former peace keeper on his homeworld of Eiodolon, Thaddeus Bach brought a lot to the team while Charis-Nar, or Broot as he was often referred to as brought the team unhinged power almost able to rival that of H'el.
Striking at the Thanagarian army using guerilla techniques, the team became known as the Guardians of the Galaxy by those they protected. Striking out of the darkness of space in the Aurora, the Guardians could even managed to down a Thanagarian battlecruiser which crippled the blockade. This of course led to the begining of the end as Rann managed to gain a foot hold against the Thanagarians and drive them back to their own system. With Rann on its way to becoming independent again, Thaddeus decided to go his own way as the remaining Guardians wandered the galaxy in search of jobs and adventure.
Encountering a distress call, the crew of the Aurora encountered a small craft of Terran origin. Inside was an alien being which identified itself as Cosmo, a Cosmonaut of the Soviet Union. Originally a test animal, Cosmo, was a creature referred to on Terra as a dog , who was launched into space where his craft passed through a temporal anomally. This anomally exposed Cosmo to an intense form of cosmic radiation which mutated him, granting him telepathy and enhanced cognitive abilities.Taking Thaddeus' place among the crew, Cosmo proved to be a valuable asset to the Guardians throughout their adventures.
Running the rim worlds smuggling goods and liberating wealth from the Kree, Shi'ar and Skrull empires, the Guardians picked up a notorious reputation. This attracted the attention of those who hired the assassin Gamora. Despite an attempt on Yondu's life, Gamora was ultimately thrawted by Pren NuParr. Indebted, Yondu welcomed Pren to the crew of the Aurora while Gamora was revealled to be a double agent who in turn also joined the Guardians albeit not without several degrees of mistrust.
Feeling betrayed when Yondu promoted Pren as his successor, H'el departed the group citing a need to return home. Under the leadership of Pren, the Guardians turned their attention to the Vega System. Unfortunately for Pren, the Guardains infamy had travelled to the the ruling Citadel. In response of what they could only imagine was an attempt by the Guardians to break their authority, the Citadel allied itself with Thanagar recruiting their warbirds to defend against the Guardians' tactics. Outgunned and out-manuevered, the Guardains recruited a new wild card member, a Czarnian by the name of Lobo. Despite this, the Aurora was still destroyed and the surviving members of the Guardians disbanded.
With the Guardians gone, the former leader, Yondu Undonta started a gang of space pirates in the Andromeda Galaxy, far from those who knew him in the Milky Way Galaxy. Naming his new crew the Ravagers, Yondu stayed away from getting involved in the disputes of other worlds and instead became a 'Procurer of Property', or rather a thief. Performing odd jobs across the galaxy, Yondu was eventually contacted by J'Son of Spartax once again who requested a special delivery from Terra. The package turned out to be a ten year old boy by the name of Peter Quill. However seeing the state of Spartax, Yondu decided to keep the boy and raise him himself. Over the next fifteen years, Yondu passed everything he learned onto the boy.
Having grown up under the guidance of Yondu, it came at no one's surprise that Peter Quill would become the newest member of the Guardians of the Galaxy. Unfortunately for Peter, he had to start over much like Yondu did originally. Locating the wreck of the Aurora, Peter had it retrofitted and restored the M-Ship, redubbing it the Milano after his Terran childhood crush. With a ship, Peter headed out into the galaxy, journying to Knowhere in order to gain allies and put together a crew not knowing there was still those who would seek to destroy any who referred to themselves as a Guardian of the Galaxy.

Sometime after Prince J'Son of Spartax was freed by Yondu, he was wrongly accused of being a traitor by his father who believed his son had turned Spartax and the Spartoi over to the Thangarians. This action caused Jason to run away however while travelling through slipsteam, Jason's ship converter blew out. Forced to make a crash landing on Earth's Colorado Mountains in mid 1979. Attracted by the smoke from the wreckage, a woman named Meredith Quill came to investigate and helped J'Son out of the ship. Helping J'Son, Meredith would get him back on his feet and help repair his ship. However something unexpected happened and J'Son fell in love with Meredith and together the pair conceived a child. Upon news of J'Son's father's passing reached him through the ship's communicator, J'Son knew his time on Earth was done and he had to return throne due to being the heir to the throne. Without his return the world would go into a state of turmoil. In order to return home, J'Son had to leave Meredith behind so she wouldn't get hurt. Locking her memories so that she would be spared the pain he felt, J'Son departed Earth leaving Meredith and his unborn son behind.
Meredith married her high school sweetheart Jake, but when she had the child Jake didn't believe it was his. She named the child Peter Jason. Jake told her the child looked nothing like him or her. Jake then tried to kill the child but on the way outside he died from a heart attack. Meredith would then spend most of her time doing nothing but raising her son. When Peter was little he often loved to watch many NASA and space shows. One day Peter returned home, bruised from trying to stop a bully. As he was washing up for dinner, his mother saw a bright light and two Badoon aliens emerged. Vowing to end the 'Spartoi bloodline', they killed Meredith. After Quill saw the aliens and his dead mother, he panicked and ran. As the aliens pursued, he grabbed a shotgun and managed to kill them with it. He then found a mysterious device in a closet. Seeing a bright light he fled the house, just before the alien ship destroyed it. Looking back, Peter saw the alien ship go down in flames as another craft flew above him. Feeling his feet leave the ground, Peter suddenly found himself inside an alien ship with a blue man staring at him. Although intially quite shocked, Peter learned to adapt to life in space, the man introducing himself as Yondu told Peter that his mother had contacted him to protect her explaining he had been friends with his father. Knowing the life that waited Peter on Spartax, Yondu broke his actual bargain with J'Son to bring Peter to him and decided to raise the boy himself. Taking an immediate liking to the young Terran, Yondu taught Peter everything he knew and trained Peter to take his place as head of the Ravagers, a group of Space Pirates he captained through the Andromeda Galaxy. Eventually however, Yondu told Peter of his time with the Guardians of the Galaxy, inspiring new ideals into Peter. These ideals would stick with Peter who at the age of twenty five struck out on his own to find whatever remained of the Aurora and rebuild a new team.| CASUAL ATTIRE: |

Koriand'r was the second of three children born to King Myand'r and Queen Luand'r of the planet Tamaran, whose inhabitants have the ability to absorb solar energy through their skin and convert it into the power of flight. Her elder sister Komand'r was the victim of a rare childhood disease that rendered her unable to fly. Komand'r developed a bitter and unpleasant personality as a result, and due to her disability and unpopularity, she was deemed unworthy of ascension to the throne. Komand'r was deemed not worthy to be queen and the succession fell to her more attractive younger sister Koriand'r, who had no abnormalities and was well-liked by her people.
Koriand'r received all of the privileges, honors, and dignity of royalty and grew to be the first princess of Tamaran in a hundred years, while Komand'r was largely shunned and forgotten. This set the stage for a sibling rivalry of epic proportions as Komand'r continually sought revenge against Koriand'r. When both sisters were sent to train with the legendary Warlords of Okaara, the bitter Komand'r ran off, allying herself with the Citadel. They used Komand'r's information to successfully invade the planet Tamaran. King Myand'r turned Koriand'r over to the Citadel to ensure peace. Part of the arrangement was that Koriand'r could never return to her home planet or the Citadel would destroy it. The captive princess endured six years of servitude and horrific torture at the hands of her own vengeful sister, who had now become a high ranking warrior of the Citadel. At one point, Koriand'r was raped by members of the Citadel that were under the command of Komand'r. In retaliation, Koriand'r fought back and killed the rapists, but was then subdued and sentenced to death.
Komand'r ordered her own sister's execution but before it could be carried out, the Citadel was attacked and both sisters were captured by the Psions , an advanced race of sadistic scientists. The Psions performed a deadly experiment on both of the sisters to see just how much energy their Tamaranean bodies could absorb before exploding from the overload. During the procedure, Komand'r's forces attacked the Psion ship to rescue her and while the Psions were distracted, Kori broke free with the starbolts, destructive blasts of solar energy, a result of the experimentation. Against her better judgment, she decided to free Komand'r who was still absorbing energy. However, far from grateful, Komand'r struck her sister down with the same-much stronger- power, enabling her to strike down her sister and escape. Koriand'r was recaptured, but later escaped again by seducing one of the guards and fleeing on one of the Psion's own vessels. Finding herself in a familiar sector of space, Kori made her way to the closest habitable world before finding herself in Knowhere.
Starfire has an outgoing and vivacious personality that epitomizes the joy-seeking aspects of Tamaranean culture. She wears her emotions on her sleeve, loves to have fun, and often expresses herself in flamboyant ways. Tamaraneans tend to wear very little clothing compared to humans, both as a reflection of their uninhibited culture and in order to absorb more solar energy through their skin and convert that energy into the power of flight. Starfire is no exception to this, and she finds the human mode of dress to be unnecessarily prudish and restrictive. She prefers wearing outfits that cover as little of her curvaceous figure as is possible to get away with, and enjoys the obvious attention that this creates. She can be openly flirtatious with men, even taken ones, and is seemingly oblivious to the jealousy she generates in other women. Starfire can instantly assimilate other languages simply through physical contact with the other person, and if that other person is male, she will usually kiss them (often without any warning) since it is more fun for her that way.
However, Starfire is also a born warrior, and her sweet and frivolous personality evaporates whenever a combat situation arises. She is a fierce and no-nonsense fighter and extremely aggressive in battle. When fully provoked she can fly into a berserker rage, increasing her already impressive strength level.| APPEARANCE: |
Toghurrhu was born in the slum of a spaceport city on the planet Karna to an unwed mother who had little time for him. Little Tigorr's fascination with spacecraft led to an incident that began his violent career: while sneaking a look inside a Karnan military flier, Tiggor was surprised by a guard, and in his panic, killed him.
Fearing what would happen to him, Tigorr fled into the jungles of Karna and learned to survive there, joining a pride of wild felines of his kind, from which he took a wife.
During that time, Tigorr's regressor or shape shifting abilities emerged - a power once common, but now extremely rare to is species. After years of happiness, Tigorr's pride was ambushed by invading Citadel forces, and most, including Tigorr's wife, were slain. Later, Tigorr returned to the city and applied for military service, intending revenge upon the Citadel.
Tigorr was given pilot training and he proved to be a top ace, but could not rise above the rank of Lieutenant. His shape shifting powers were scorned by his superiors, and only his felow pilots appreciated Tigorr's skill and bravery. Karnan felines had not yet entered the Citadel war, but Tigorr convinced a group of pilots to hijack their ships and fly with him to aid other rebel forces. Unfortunately the group was apprehended by their superiors and Tigorr was dishonourably discharged. With his military career ended and no family to return to, Tigorr ended up wandering Knowhere as a violent drunk.| APPEARANCE: |
Rocket is a raccoon or raccoon-like creature enhanced by illegal genetic experiments into a sentient and highly technically capable being. His origins were apparently quite traumatic, as he describes having been "torn apart and put back together".
Rocket spent most of his life as a bounty hunter, teamed up with Groot to perform miscellaneous (and typically illegal) jobs such as kidnapping and theft in search of income. He ran into frequent trouble with the law and was imprisoned on numerous occasions, but managed to escape from confinement each time. Despite being a very capable bounty hunter he was frequently taken advantage of by both his employers and competitors alike, at times reaching the verge of bankruptcy.
His search for employment eventually brought Rocket to Knowhere. The name "Rocket" appears to be a moniker he bestowed upon himself; the Nova Corps refer to him only as Subject 89P13.| APPERANCE: |
Groot is a Flora colossus from Planet X the capital of the branch worlds. The sapling that will come to be known as "Groot" came from an "Enobled Sap-line" and gifted in quasi-dimensional super-positional engineering.
Groot did not get along with his fellow saplings but instead preferred the company of the "Maintenance Mammals" who the other saplings treated with prejudice. After Groot killed another sapling to defend a maintenance mammal it was brutalising, he was exiled of the planet by the "Arbor Masters".
Into his adulthood Groot found himself in Kree space, where he was promptly captured and imprisoned. While in jail he formed a rapport with Rocket Raccoon and became a bounty hunter. Together the two ended up on Knowhere in search of their next bounty.
| ATTRIBUTES: |The Guardians are comprised of a number of various races each with their own unique traits. Furthermore, each individual has lived colourful lives, acquiring a great number of specialized skills. Above all else however, the Guardians are all survivors often having seen the worse the universe has to offer. Below is an outline of their individual gifts.Human/Spartoi Hybrid: Peter Quill is son of a human and a Spartoi, and his hybrid physiology grants him peak human abilities, such as:
Peak Human Strength: Peter Quill was born with physical strength equal to the peak of human potential. Peter's physical strength is above that of a normal human being.
Peak Human Durability: Peter's body is more resistant to physical injury, to variable degrees, than that of an ordinary human. He seems capable of taking several gunshot & puncture wounds as well as beatings and still stand on his feet.
Peak Human Agility: Peter's agility, balance, and bodily coordination are at levels that are beyond the natural physical limits of even the finest human athlete.
Peak Human Stamina: Peter's body eliminates the excessive build-up of fatigue-producing poisons in his muscles and his musculature generates considerably less fatigue toxins than the muscles of an ordinary human being, granting him superhuman levels of stamina in all physical activities.
Peak Human Mental Process: Peter was born with enhanced mental performance, allowing his mind to process information quickly, giving him an accelerated learning aptitude. He has mastered various alien languages and customs with ease.
Longevity: Spartoi have a life span that is three times longer than a human from earth. When his father was 100 years old he appeared as if he were in his mid-30's. Due to his hybrid nature it is unsure how he will age, but it will likely be at a decelerated rate.
Expert Marksman: Star-Lord is well-versed in the use of firearms, from all over the Galaxy
Martial Artist: Star-Lord is an expert in hand-to-hand combat being very skilled in multiple fighting styles.
Master Tactician and Strategist: Star-Lord is a master strategist and problem solver and skilled in battle techniques.
Pilot: Star-Lord is an accomplished starship pilot.Tamaranean Physiology: Koriand'r's alien physiology constantly absorbs ultraviolet radiation and converts it to energy. Kori has green eyes with no pupils, orange skin and fiery hair. When she is using her abilities in full force, her hair seems to glow and react like fire. However, this is simply an illusion.
Energy Absorption: Primarily, Koriand' absorbs ultraviolet radiation from the stars and other sources of radiation. She can also absorb the ultraviolet radiation from other life forms. She once used this application of her power to weaken a group of Kryptonians who otherwise require ultraviolet radiation to maintain their superhuman abilities.
Superhuman Strength: Starfire is superhumanly strong, capable of punching through enhanced hulls and even ablative hull armor if in peak condition.
Superhuman Durability: Starfire is so durable, she can resist the vacuum of space.
Energy Projection: Koriand'r can project her 'starbolts' at her opponents in a variety of ways. The energy is burning hot and melts or destroys most metal objects and skin. It is unknown where this energy comes from. The solar absorption experiments performed on her by the alien Psions granted her the amazing power and ability to channel and project that same energy into destructive blasts called "starbolts". Kori also has the power and ability to unleash all her stored energy into a pseudo nova blast. It is suggested to be as hot as the sun itself and so only uses this in dire situations.
Flight: Koriand'r can use her energy to push herself through the sky which leaves a distinctive energy contrail behind, looking as if it is coming directly from her hair. This only works when gravity is affecting her, and she cannot fly unaided in space.
Superhuman Stamina:
Linguistic Assimilation: She is also capable of assimilating other languages through physical contact with another person.
Aviation: Koriand'r has piloted a few alien spacecrafts that she was not accustomed to. She later stole and piloted an escape vessel to Knowhere.
Firearms: Koriand'r has been using guns since she was first imprisoned as the princess of Tamaran and has used them against her captors and enemies since. However she prefers using her own natural energy blasts rather than guns. That said, she still generally carries one.
Hand-to-Hand Combat: Koriand'r is extremely proficient in armed and unarmed combat, having been trained in those arts by the Warlords of Okaara as a young girl and continued to train through her kidnapping and beyond. Although trained, she often brutally attacks her opponents with reckless abandon in which she doesn't use her skills.Transformation: Tigorr's natural state of being is that of an animal, greatly resembling an oversized Earth tiger. Through an act of will, he can assume a humanoid form, though he still maintains animalistic features.
Claws
Fangs
Superhuman Speed
Superhuman StrengthRaccoon Physiology: Rocket possesses the same enhanced abilities attributed to Earth raccoons, including an acute sense of smell and sharp eyesight. A raccoon's grayish coat mostly consists of dense underfur which insulates against cold weather.
Enhanced Senses: Being a raccoon many of Rocket's senses are heightened to levels well above human. Able to see much better than the average human and extremely well adapted to near dark conditions. His enhanced sense of smell allows him to detect subtle changes in scents around him enabling him to detect the approach of others and increasing his ability to operate in darkness. With his broad auditory range, he can perceive tones outside the range of the human ear as well as subtle sounds caused by vibrations on the ground. His hyper sensitive paws allow him to identify objects before touching them with vibrissae located above his claws.
Expert Marksman: Rocket is well-versed in the use of high-powered firearms, from all over the Galaxy.
Enhanced Strength: Due to his augmentations, Rocket is able to use weapons that are designed to be wielded by humanoids.
Technical Expertise: Rocket built complex bombs and weapons out of the scrap on Star-Lord's ship.
Master Tactician and Strategist: Rocket is an accomplished strategist. He is able to formulate battle strategies and his brilliant tactical sense allows him to alter any strategy to fit the changing need of the situation.
Pilot: Rocket is an accomplished starship pilot.Flora colossus physiology: Groot has abilities native to his species:
Strength: Groot's tree like form provides him great strength. He is the strongest member of the group, being able lift many heavy objects including several men on just one arm.
Durability: Groot's hide is composed of wood dense enough and durable enough to make him immune to most conventional weapons, including gunfire and fire which would consume most woods. He can endure the loss of entire limbs apparently without experiencing pain.
Cellular regeneration: Groot has an amazing healing factor and has been shown to be able regrow everything from a missing limb to his whole body.
Spores: Groot has the ability to produce tiny phosphorescent spores that float through the air and offer enough ambient light to illuminate a small area.
Plasticity: Groot has the ability to stretch his limbs for long distances and reshape them for a variety of tasks. He normally takes the shape of a large tree-like humanoid, but can also weave his limbs into a dense tangle of vines. Individual pseudopods can be grown at will, to act as fingers, as rudimentary tools, or even bud a small flower.
Strength: Groot's tree like form provides him great strength.
Durability: Groot's hide is composed of wood dense enough and durable enough to make him immune to most conventional weapons, including gunfire and fire which would consume most woods.
Control over other plants: Groot especially has the power to control other plants, or his own physical form, therefore he can turn his hands into blades, or grow in size altogether, or even use that power to heal himself from fatal wounds.

| CHARACTER GOALS: |My goal with the Guardians is to intertwine them in a variety of galactic adventures in the style of Star Wars, Guardians of the Galaxy and Firefly. A small crew not siding with a higher power, fighting to survive and maybe for their own personal gain. I aim to put the spot light on the various Guardians throughout their adventures starting with Starfire and then moving on from there.
