Backstory: One of the first people to figure out that the game was calling Pokémon into our dimension, currently taking a research angle of the problem which gained her the nickname 'Professor' as a little jab at the Pokémon lore itself. She's mostly embraced it at this point, welcoming people who have figured out what is happening with the same spiel Professor Oak welcomed the first players with. Originally she came to Japan with the intention of teaching English as well as learning Japanese. It wasn't supposed to be a long term arrangement but its impossible to leave now with all that's happening. Even though many credit her for being a 'real world Pokémon Professor' few have actually seen her, she keeps to herself and not much is known about her or her team.
Personality: Naturally curious and a fast learner, she will often push herself too hard when trying to solve a problem. Places a lot of responsibility on herself. She's not a big fighter but is known to be able to defend herself in a pinch.

Other: Her research is somewhat hindered by her inability to see Pokémon with out technical assistance, like many humans she can not see them without the assistance of her modified glasses. However she can usually guess with surprising accuracy where they are without the help of her PKMNG plus clip.

Backstory: Prince has always been the gifted type. He was the kid growing up who could pretty much do anything that he put his mind to. Sometimes it required very little effort and other times it took more. His parents named him after their favorite artist and coincidentally the artist whose concert they met at. He grew up taking an equal interest in both athletics and academics, but ended up choosing academics fully in the end. Prior to graduating High School he received a scholarship to the University of Tokyo. He always had an interest in the country and even took some Japanese language courses. He decided that's where he'd be going once he graduated.

He found out about the Pokemon Go craze when he arrived and after some convincing from some friends he finally joined in and is now a beginner coming up in the ranks. He has yet to hear about the rifts in the game.
Personality: Prince is kind and determined. He cares more about others than he does himself sometimes, but that's not to say he doesn't care about himself. He's the go-getting type who doesn't stop reaching towards a goal once he's set it.

Other: Prince is rather new altogether to Pokemon, but has been noted by those around him as a natural or a quick learner when it comes to the game. Ever since starting he has kept his PKMNG Plus Clip on his person everywhere he went.

Backstory: Jasper's been playing Pokémon for years - he grew up playing the games, and watching the shows. So when Pokémon Go came out, it was no surprise that he began playing immediately. Though he's supposed to be in Japan to research the fashion style on the streets and its changes over time, he's found himself more distracted by the Plus accessory than he'd like to admit. He's trying to balance academics and play, knowing that there's only so much attention he can pay to the rifts while he's supposed to be working on his studies. He noticed the rifts pretty early, though they were easier to dismiss in the beginning than they've been recently.
Personality: Dedicated and focused, once something has Jasper's attention, he doesn't let go. He has an eye for detail and a tendency to over-plan, which also leads to him being over-prepared. However, he doesn't mind if people think he's too wrapped up in what could happen - he'd rather be prepared than at a loss.

Other: Jasper had a personal run-in with a rift, being what finally sold him on what was happening the more people played Pokemon Go. He'd finally taken a break from playing, taking up a nice spot on the street to scribble down fashion observations, when two nearby players inexplicably had their bags catch fire. If he hadn't been looking directly at them when it had happened, he would've been sure it was an accident with a lighter or matches.

Backstory: Ever since Pokemon Red and Blue came out, Nicky has been obsessed with the series. She has played all the main games and most the spin-offs. She would collect all the pokemon in each main entry game. When she heard the news about Pokemon Go, she was so estatic. While she knew the game could be played anywhere in the world, she knew her best chances of having the best experience she could have would be in Tokyo, like with everything else. Thus she moved to Tokyo and has been playing the game for 2 years.

Personality: Whenever Nicky has a goal in mind, she is determined to achieve it. She is pretty shy and can be fairly oblivious to things.
