Enjoy your freedom while you still can. It is the fate of the new world to get colonized. One day you will have to accept old world dominance muhahahaha :P

For those who have yet to post and need some sort of inspiration or format for how to do your IC posts.

roleplayerguild.com/topics/282-world-i..

WiR is a really good example for those still on the sidelines, thus far it's how I've decided to do my own posts and what not.

Nehelania makes big talk while planning to just pussy out if it doesn't work. What unsurprising behaviour on their part. . .

Your diplomats should enjoy their freedom while they still can because there might be a chance that they will become the queen's royal boy toys.

I apologize for everyone who is offended by this statement. I am sorry.

@Chairman Stein Personally, I prefer more detail than that in WiR. I think I'll continue with writing about my characters, their ideals and thoughts to develop them further, whilst also including my diplomatic moves as in my first post. I find the WiR way of posting makes you only think about the nation rather than the people that run it and live within it. Which I personally don't like.

Edit: Unless the gracious GM has an IC post setup he'd prefer we use? @Theodorable

You can use whatever method you most prefer.

Who else hasn't posted in the IC?

I'm dealing with catching up on some class assignments: updated Western Sides map and Serranthian maps due soon. I promise. Weee.

Foreign relations with other player nations that have affected the Commonwealth as of January 1836 have been finished. Take a look if you wish to know where you stand.

Edit: The Sanguine Empire, Anvegad and Vitannia will be added in a moment.

I've followed Lone Wanderer's lead and added relations with The Queendom of Amazonia to my sheet. Needless to say that the relations are rather hostile as a conflict is brewing in the western sides :)

I made mine in Adobe Illustrator, but it shouldn't be too hard to use one's google-fu to steal a flag from the internets, if you were so inclined.

And ah, the update's here! I can imagine the papers of February reporting on the situation in Murelia, and of the embarassments the Nehalenians are having with the New World barbarian women.

I was actually expecting the Jarelians to be swiftly squashed, but it seems they had just enough support to stand a chance.

A fine poast, Theo, fine post.

EDIT: Just read Angevad's post. Clever gift!

Ack, I seem to have posted when Theo made his post. How should I fix?

This forum needs an e-mail update system or something.

Anyway, the game begins in earnest now.

EDIT: Just read Angevad's post. Clever gift!

Just taking advantage of what I have. A internationally reknown academy is a pretty useful thing to have in many ways.

Zell's colonial possessions are in the south. Bruyaisal can have that island. Unless it's a terribly big deal. I made your supply lines shorter, hahah.

Descriptions for the Tanashi Empire and the Kingdom of Kapitas are up. Hope everyone is having fun so far. Angevad's post was excellent.

The Jarelian Independence Crisis is.. almost over, as one side has almost reached enough support. I'd keep it a secret but it seems apparent right now which is winning. :D

THE SERRANTHIAN MAP IS DONE

Please acknowledge if you have a colony in Serranthia! Thank you!

Cartographical Map of Serranthia, circa 1836

Serranthia,

It is an immense assembly of islands pressed up against a continent so large that the Faith itself knows not it's own bounds. So strange is this new world it is unlike anything ever witnessed, ever imagined in the Old World. Men of dark skin dance and hunt in the shadows of great mountains, sacrificing exotic creatures to their blood gods. Scorpions the size of a mans fist scurry across the thick vegetation and flies buzz heavy in the eyes, peasants without lords in which to instruct them. This is a fierce world, for fierce men, I think. And it is here the destiny of the Old World will be carved. Not with musket and cannon but plow and pick axe.

Excerpt from the Journal of Fenris Gothum, Skeptonian Explorer, 1801

KEY
-- New Nehalania: Encompassing a large swathe of the northern continent up to the Great Ridge, New Nehalania has a population of 15,000 with an estimated native population encompassing 50,000-75,000. With a paltry garrison of 500 Royal Marines, Nehalania's decentralized colony has an emphasis on mining in the Great Ridge and plodding new tobacco fields along the more arable fields. The natives, who call themselves La Veex seem mostly harmless and have taken an observatory stance since colonization began. Much larger than the Old World, New Nehalania's encompassing territory is about as large as the Sanguine Empire.

-- Dalatrum: With almost no native population, the Dalatrum Islandic Outpost is run by 1,250 men; explorers, scientists and monarchic administrators. Dalatrum's first steps into Serranthia are measured and tempered, unlike other colonial powers. The island outpost has a garrison of 50 Dalatrian soldiers.
