Valyna walked into the tavern and went straight to the bar. She was a no nonsense kind of girl and she had just really had a crappy day. "Stone Sour Amaretto please, and don't be chincy on the Amaretto either." She was halfway through her drink when she decided to look around.

Clay was behind the bar.
A wide smirk revealing his pearl white teeth.
He moved around with an efficiency of experience but an uncertainty that came from unfamiliarity.

It didn't take him long to place up the drink. The sweet citrus nutty blend giving an aroma to match.

"Enjoy." He says proudly sliding it across the table as the ice chinks around in the fancy glass.

"Thanks." Valyna takes a drink and asks him. "So how many people came in here today because they had a crappy day do you think?" Valyna turns sideways so she can look at all of the people. The variety was rather amusing to her. She looked at Clay and offered her hand to shake. "I'm Valyna."

Clay wipes his hands down on his shirt before taking the lady's greeting. His grip was firm and a bit tight at first, a manly habit, he quickly softens it.
"Clay" he replies with a nod.
His eyes don't follow hers around the room instead affixing upon her face as he leans on the counter top.

"Is that why you are here?"
His voice deep and rough.

"Oh yeah! The crappiest of the crappy." Valyna said pulling her hand back slowly. She looks at Clay and smiles. "You look like you just got back from a modelling shoot. So why are you here and don't say it's your job because you could do better than a barkeep. That is just based on your looks because I don't even know you, yet." She said with a smirk.

Liz shambled into the tavern with her guitar slung over her back feeling like a zombie. It had been a good eight or nine weeks of hitchhiking and riding in the back of strangers' pickup trucks, until she was stuck walking the rest of the way..until she happened upon this place out in the middle of nowhere. It looked like probably a good place to rest up before she tried to hitch her way up to Seattle one more time, but further view of the...slightly sordid bunch made her feel a bit uneased.

She shuffled over to the bar and sat down beside a girl, a cute looking girl Liz might add, resting both her arms on the bar and slouching forward with a sigh, "I'll just have whatever's good. I ain't picky...."

Valyna's words took Clay by unexpected surprise. He softly smiles, his face somewhere between blushing and embarrassment. He looks away.
"Yea tried that once, but the whiskeys weak and there's no good fights. I much prefer it here."
He pulls out a half full bottle of fine whiskey as an example and pours half a glass before swigging straight from it. He lets out a small satisfied gasp as the liquid burns it's way down his throat.

He looks to the newcomer as he slides the glass across the table. With a nod he says "on the house"

"Besides" he says again finding Valyna's eyes as he leans back in closer.
"Why go out there where everyone you meet are a bunch of superficial pratts, when I can just wait right here and all the beautiful interestin ladies will come right up to me."

Clay speaks a little more slow and softly, toying with the words.
A playful cheeky smile crawls across his lips.

"Thanks." Liz replied softly and downed the shot in one gulp. The whiskey burned as it swept down her throat, causing her to grimace, but it did the job jolting her awake. She sat the shot glass down, shivering a little. Hard liquor just wasn't her thing, but she couldn't complain much.

"So do you know how to get to Seattle from here?" She asked the bartender.

The newcomers question caused Clay to almost choke on a bout of laughter.
He turned away from Valyna and looked at Liz.

"Sorry doll but if you gotta ask for directions no one here can help ya."
He shakes his head, both amused and sympathetic.
"Even if I knew, when you and I step outside that forest we probably won't be in the same place, hell we might not even be in the same time."

Clay lets out a deep sigh as he looks into nothingness lost in thought. He lets his words sink in before continuing.

"You weren't even looking for this place, were ya?"
A frown takes his face.
"When you leave do your best to trace your steps and just hope like hell you make it back."

With that he tops up her glass with his whiskey then turns around and starts preparing another stone sour Amaretto.

Tic didn't much care where he was or where he was going when he burst through what he hoped was the door to nearest bar, he needed a drink NOW. The pixie had been on been on a job that went south and was looking to either drink till he couldn't remember the run or till some soul threw a punch at the tiny powerhouse. His blue skin was now purple in places and his left wing looked a little bent out of shape as he stormed across the floor to the bar stool. Well... about as well as a 1' 6" tall fairy looking thing could storm across a floor.

Jumping to grab onto the stool he hoisted himself up into the seat, when seated his could just get his arms onto the bar.

"I don't care how much you want for it, just give me my body-weight your strongest stuff" he demanded throwing a a stick of credits over the counter.

"Honestly, I don't care where I go really. I just follow wherever the road leads. There's just someone up in Seattle I...kinda want to meet. I just need a place to rest for now..." She sighed as she downed another shot, her face a permanent frown almost. Her breath was shaky, as though she was almost in tears. "Thanks for the whiskey." She said to the bartender, unaware of the tiny sprite next to her until he spoke.

Valyna smiled at Clay's compliment and teased him a little. "So you meet a lot of pretty ladies here." She said with a smirk. "Well I haven't met any men who were both good looking and genuinely nice people in quite a long time. You appear to be the first in.....well let's just say a long time." Valyna looked down at her arm and there was nothing still. She frowned for a split second and then smiled, maybe it was a good thing that it hadn't shown up yet.

@Rusalka

Valyna looked at Liz. "I might be able to help you get back ok. I'm a witch so I have a little bit better control at these things. Let me know when you are ready ok."

[Continuing from forever ago since I've been on hiatus. Bouncer's back baby!]
@Dark Light

Alex sat up in bed and before she could even open her eyes she could smell what smelled like an amazing array of... pancakes? She could remember being so young... the apartment, her mothers sweet voice, her fathers hard appearance and soft eyes and the smell of his aftershave... She shook her head at the memories. 'just push them back,' she thought.

She rubbed her eyes and opened them to find a dark figure at the end of her bed. Startled at first, she realized it was Dorian.

"Oh, uh... Mr. Dorian, I'm sorry... I...I just needed a place to sleep for a bit. Did you..." She looks toward the extravagantly laden tray, "bring that for me?"

She didn't expect such kindness from such a mysterious and superior man, especially her boss.

@Wick Clay smiled back at Valyna, not an ordinary smile but a well practised charming, confident, flirtatious smile that could melt hearts and belonged on the cover of magazines, worst of all, he knew it and how to use it.

Clay holds off on words, replying only with his eyes. He just looks at her, leaving a sense uncertainty to fill the silence nearing the point of awkwardness. Then he breaks the little moment to look at the fiery sprite like creature throwing over money.

@RusalkaClay looks from the new newcomer to his bottle of whiskey and back again.
He sizes the two up and with a shrug hands the rest over to the little guy.
"Close enough." He says with a shrug and a laugh. "Welcome" he adds on with a genuine nod before turning back to Valyna.

"So is your day getting any better yet?"
He enquires as he puts the last pieces of her second drink together and slides it over to her.
"If that pixi hasn't cheered you up maybe we could get a guitar solo from our friend here."@Rusalka

The witch was stunning, no doubt, but it looked like her interests weren't the same as Liz's. Nevertheless she gave a wry smile to Valnya and a reply, "Kay. I'm not really planning on leaving yet anyways. I just hitched my way here from New Mexico."

Her face reddened a little at the mention of her guitar. She loved to play it, and yeah she loved to sing too...just not in front of people. "Ehehe...I'd rather not." Humbly she declined the offer to play with a nervous giggle.

The soft click of heels against the wooden stairs can be heard throughout the Tavern as Alex strides down the stairs putting on her leather jacket on the way down.

"Who's the bartender around this place now? I need a good whiskey pour about now."

Valyna accepted the second drink when Clay slid it to her. She gave him a beautiful smile that was genuine and let him know that she isn't like all the others. "Well, I'm not like the other girls. I'm looking for Mr. Right. Eventually I hope he finds me. It would be a shame to survive so long to never find him." She looked at Clay and smirked. "Are you ever wanting to settle down, eventually I mean. Not tonight."

Valyna pulled his hand over and faced it palm up. She traced his life line and asked him. "So Clay, how did you come to work here? I mean you look like Sons of Anarchy and yet you are obviously not running from anything." Her eyes sparkled and she finished her second drink and pushed the glass towards him.

Standing up on the chair the Tic was only tall enough to be eye level with the neck of the bottle. With a heave he started to tilt the bottle his way and start at the lid of the bottle only realizing too late that the bottle's mouth was much larger than his. The golden liquid pored forth overwhelming tic and spilling around his head and onto the floor behind him.

Spluttering Tic pushed the bottle back to a standing position trying to maintain as much face as possible, snarling at the bottle then shooting a glares around the room at any of the patrons that saw his little accident. Grumbling he turned back to his drink he and attempted to access the net through his gear, only nothing happened after a few more attempts he got frustrated and slammed his hand on the counter.

@RusalkaHe looked to the closest patron and gave a strong nudge in the arm to get her attention "How's a pixie get the Net Code to this place?"

Liz turned her attention to the voice and the clack of heels against the hardwood floors, a subtle sound yet garnering eyes towards the stunning tattooed blonde. One look at her and Liz's face was even redder than before. To say this chick was cute, an understatement. She looked like a tough girl, but then again, most tough girls were Liz's thing. She kept on staring at the other girl until she felt a soft nudge against her arm, turning towards the little sprite at her side.

"Dunno man. You're asking the wrong girl." She said shrugging her shoulders. He looked a little agitated at something, but Liz never paid him much attention. One last shot she downed, already feeling a tad buzzed. That was good enough for her. She didn't want to be too drunk, especially in a place she's never been.

Alex sauntered over the floor, feeling the patrons eyes on her. Pushing her abilities to the far back of her head, she could barely hear "cute" and "tough" come from someones head... She learned her lesson about getting into strangers heads last time. Speaking of, where was he? @Dark Light

She walked behind the counter grabbing a whiskey bottle and turning on the coffee pot. Eyeing everyone in the room, sizing up a pixie and a woman who had just obviously just walked in, she wondered where everyone was.

Turning to face the blue-haired beauty at the bar she said with smoldering eyes and a strained voice, "Hey doll, what's a siren like you doing in a place like this?"

Liz perked up as the sultry voice practically grabbed her by the ear and pulled her towards the blonde. "Just uh...looking for a place to crash. Nothing much." Her voice a bit shaky as she replied. "W-wait. How did you know I'm a Siren?" She rose an eyebrow in suspicion. Could this girl read minds?
