Ayeka notices that the two newcomers are content at the moment. Her ears twitch as she hears a thump from outside. She walks outside of the travel and sees a guy on the ground, she picks him up. She quickly brings him inside and puts him in a comfortable chair. She went to the bar to pour a glass of water for the guy and quickly returns back to his side.

No, mom... five more minutes...

Carver tried to roll over and realized he was sitting. The cushy fabric gently cradled his body, supporting his aching back in a natural leaned-back position. He felt the warmth and quiet of somewhere that was definitely not outdoors. It was so comfortable here...

A throbbing head brought him back to the cruel world, and he realized he had no idea where he was. He opened his eyes and squinted against the bright glow of the lights. He looked down to let his eyes adjust and realized he was sitting in a plush maroon chair. He noticed a shadow, tracing it back to someone standing at his side. A black-haired woman was looking at him through concerned amber eyes, holding out a glass of water. Suddenly feeling the desert in his throat, he gratefully took the water and downed it in one go. Water hadn't tasted so good since the last time he woke up from a drunken stupor. His head was still pounding, and he felt slightly dizzy. He figured he was hungover again, although he couldn't remember where it was he had gotten drunk this time... He looked around at the unfamiliar setting. He didn't remember coming here.

"Where am I?"

He looked back at the girl.

"Who are you?"

"Official Business?" Tic held tried to hold in a laugh with marginal success "I haven't seen a PI worth his salt who does Official Business " Taking a glance at Anthony he saw the man flex his fingers, but before the man could commence his trick a familiar urge hit Tic hard, his eyes quickly widening and his back straitening as if he were about to stand at attention, in flash Tic was gone and the door to the bathroom was swinging shut with a small dent in the wood next to it slowly bending back into shape.

@Azereiah
Walking out a few moments later Tic found his drink still in his hand, the crowd around his table was getting a bit too crowded for his taste so he decided to move on rather than muscle his way back in. Making is way over to the bar he chooses to avoid Alex as she seems to be busy with that fancy looking guy from before. Setting himself up at the other end bar he noticed the only person in near him was this strange grey person from before. Her eye’s seemed to slowly move from one patron to another; the way it seemed to analyse everything made him feel as though he where under a microscope. Nothing about that sat right with Tic, but he'd have to watch his step here she could just as easily be as fast and strong as that mage from before.

“Oi! Keep those eyes to ya self, it’s enough to make a guy feel small” he growled tilting to one side and resting on his drinkless arm.

Willow emerged from her room and took a seat at the bar after returning the empty plate, clean of even crumbs, to the kitchen. She said nothing and paid no attention to anyone else in the tavern. Her thoughts were tied up among themselves, some of them even wishing for more cake, but she knew she shouldn't have more. Instead she got herself a tall glass of green liquid, taking small sips from it every now and then.

Ben raised an eyebrow and would have grinned if he didn't take a sip of his Dr. Pepper. "Well there goes Tic." he said matter of factly, watching his new friend make a B line for the restroom. He half expected to hear an explosive 'boom' echo out of there. There was a lot going on at the bar at the moment, but curiously the thing that caught his eye was a girl he'd not seen before taking an entire cake up to her room, and then heading back down with an empty plate. "Damn. And they say I eat a lot." he whispered to himself. He decided now that after a few more minutes of chilling, he'd get up and...go do...something. Maybe explore the hallways.

"You are in a Tavern and I am a bar maiden name Ayeka. You must have a long and tough journey. Let me get you some more water and some herbs for your headache." She walks over to grabs some pills and a pitcher of cold water, as she is walking back she heard a noise or two from the restrooms. She refills the guy drink who still had a headache from passing out earlier.

Carver suddenly had a strong urge to pee. Looking around, he spotted a restroom sign. He got up, went into the men's restroom, and relieved himself. He looked at himself in the mirror and saw a purple, swelling lump on the right side of his forehead. He touched it and gasped in pain. Ow! Aaah. How did this happen? Probably sometime when I blacked out. His hangover was still going strong, but considering he had just fallen unconscious, his mind was clearer than before.

The lady said I'm in a Tavern. What's her name... Aiya? Aida? How did I get here? Where am I?

The last thing he remembered was sitting on his friend's couch, tipping back another glass of whiskey and wondering if he had enough at home to drink tomorrow. He didn't want to go out now, maybe tomorrow he'd go to the liquor store... And now he was here. Head pounding, hardly drunk anymore and no way to go to the liquor store now. He loudly thumped the sink, both in exasperation and to try to scare the memories away.

Wait. The lady said she was a bar maiden. There's a bar here.

I should go get a drink or a few, and then I'll figure out how to get home.

He came out of the restroom and saw the lady refilling his glass with water. "Um, you said you were a bar maiden. Could you get me an alcoholic drink? The strongest drink you got would be good."

Willow's stomach growled embarrassingly loud. She placed a hand on it and glanced around to see if anyone had heard it. She decided that food would be the only acceptable solution, so she walked back into the kitchen organizing herself a meal. A few minutes later, she emerged with a tray filled with a bowl of porridge, brown sugar for said porridge, a cup of milk, a plate of jam toast, three small pies, and another chocolate cake. She took that and her drink to another table that allowed more space, though closer to other people, and set it all down. Stifling a yawn, she pulled a book out from who knows where and set to eating while reading.

"I can't give you the strongest drink, I can give you a drink though." Ayeka says as she picks up the glass of water, he is not going to drink. "How did you get that bumb on your head?" She ask as she gets a new glass, she pours vodka, whiskey, and cola. She mix it all together adding some ginger to it. She puts it in front of the guy who just request a drink.

The bar maiden's question awakened a stinging pain on Carver's swelling forehead. He fought the urge to grimace as he replied to her question.

"I don't remember. I probably fell and hit my head."

The bar maiden went back to business. Carver returned to his table and surveyed the room for the first time. Several other people were seated at similar chairs and tables. An old man in a red gown and a young white-haired girl were sat at one table, seemingly in the middle of an intense moment. At another table, a young fit man, a cowboy, and a detective were having drinks. Two tables seated only one person each: at one, pale boy with a mop of dirty blonde hair sipped a green-yellow beverage, and at the other, a girl in a black corset was reading a book, surrounded by plates of tasty-looking food.

The bar maiden quickly came back with a glass bubbling with a clear brownish beverage, which she set down in front of Carver. He thanked her and took the glass, getting a hint of ginger as he took a sip. He experienced the familiar burn at the back of his throat. Mmm. Tastes strong. He drank the cocktail as fast as he had drank the water, accustomed to the internal burn of a beverage that strong. He caught the bar maiden's eye before she left.

"How did I get here? And could you bring another two of these?"

"That is something I can't answer that question, as I don't know the answer. People wonders into the Tavern without a clue, I will get you another drink." Ayeka says as she walks back to the bar wondering if his memory will return soon. She quickly mix up the same drink in two glasses. She brings the drinks and puts them on the guy's table. "What is your name and which dimension you came from?"

A planar shift going awry would usually send you to the Nine Hells - or a similar equivivelant in whatever world you happened to be in at that particular moment. Finding yourself in a fine tavern - a familiar tavern at that - was a sign that the Gods were either smiling at you, or not paying any attention to your strange shenanigans.

The tall fellow adjusted his wide brimmed hat that had a large feather decorating it and congratulated himself on a damn fine planar shift - even though it had been more or less an accidental one. If someone was paying any attention to the fellow they'd immediately be able to tell that he was a bard - judging by the silver flute hanging from his dragonscale belt and the magically bristling lute slung over his shoulder he was a very rich bard as well. The way the fellow looked around and the little sway in his step while moving towards the bar gave the impression that he had already been enjoying a bottle or two of some fine alcoholic beverage. Still the fellow was far from the 'not today' condition some people unfortunately tended to reach even before reaching a proper drinking establishment.

Years had been kind to the fellow. He seemed to be somewhere between mid 20's to mid 30's and his face didn't have any scars from unlucky fights. His nose however was a bit strange sight in comparison to the rest of his face. Judging by the way the already large, very beaklike smelling aparatus was twisted it had been broken several times - most likely early on the fellow's career. His blue eyes had a very rogueish glint to them - one of those glints that made people double check their money pouches being safe, or just made some people want to punch the fellow. The little smirk the man seemed to keep as his default expression was a polite one - though it made him seem like he knew something the other people didn't.

The bard's clothes must have cost a fortune - heck, the silk fencing shirt alone was propably worth a small farm with all the animals and work implements included. The long black coat with it's silver embrodery couldn't have been cheap either. Not to mentopn the Seven League Boots the fellow was wearing - not that most people would recognize them with a glance. Judging by the faint magical bristling eminating from him the fellow eas decked to the gills with magical itema - heck, propably even his pants were enchanted in some way!.

He removed his hat to fuĺly reveal his black, shoulder lenght hair and the nearly comically small horns of his that were barely visible from the midsts of his hair - marking him a thiefling. Afer a while of examining his surroundings he leant his elbow against the bar and politely waited for someone - hopefully the bartender - to notice his presence.

The bar maiden's question was a trigger for his wretched memories to come and attack. Carver quickly downed the second drink, starting a fire in his throat which provided a welcome distraction from the memories. He thunked the glass back onto the table with force as he took a breath to put out the flames.

"I'm Carver. Um, I'm from Maple Falls." Carver partially lied, naming his friend's village where he had been staying recently. He could feel the alcohol going to his head. "Which... which village is this? Is there a map I could look at? Or do you know how to get to Maple Falls from here?"

Ayeka notices the glass shatter onto the table. She snaps her fingers as the glass put itself together again, "there are books on the on the bookshelf over there that can help you with a map." She says as she walks back to the bar to mix Carver another drink. She notices a demon sitting at a bar, she only guess he is a demon because she saw the horns. "What can I get you to drink," she ask as she examines him some more.

All eyes were trained on Anthony as he shuffled the cards. Mesmerised, Hardwick watched as the suits flew between Anthony's hands at a seemingly impossible speed. He was only vaguely aware that the fairy man had stumbled off towards the Gents, while Ben had gone for a wander.

And suddenly, he realized, they were alone. The PI, the magician, and the whirling cards. It was hard to tell how long he'd been watching Anthony shuffle. Five minutes? Ten? An hour?

Hardwick stood and placed a hand on the entertainer's shoulder. 'Maybe another time, Anthony.' He strode towards the bar. Maybe he could find out more on how this strange place operated.

Carver heard fingers snap and saw the glass he smashed rebuild itself. I wish I could do that. Although, what good could it do me. It wouldn't put the drink back in the bottle. He got up and started towards the bookshelf the bar maiden had pointed at, wobbling a little in his mildly-hungover mildly-drunken state. On the way there, he just barely noticed a funny-nosed fellow perhaps around his age, in embroidered black clothes that must have cost a fortune. He also caught an immediately-forgotten glimpse of impressive shuffling, done by hands he failed to assign to a body.

The large, reddish-brown wooden bookshelf was decorated with subtle ornate carvings. Its four shelves were stocked with dull-coloured books in an assortment of heights and thicknesses. Carver turned his head sideways to try and read the silver, gold, or black print on the books' spines. Only a few were in his language; most of them were in languages he may or may not have recognized, and certainly could not read. He wasn't in the mood to skim through every single book in search of a useful map. He decided he would just ask someone.

Carver looked around and saw that the expensively-clothed man wasn't preoccupied. He walked over to the man's table, noticing a pair of tiny little horns just visible above his black hair. "Hi. I'm Carver. Do you know how to get to Maple Falls?"

The fellow tilted his head forward in to a more or less polite little nod at the woman and widened his little smirk in to a nearly impolitely charming smile. He also mimed tipping his hat - after all the hat itself he had by now placed on the counter - slightly before answering. "Well, I'll have a pint of whiskey and... let's say a nice glass of water." The bard's voice was quite unassuming and silent - like he was more or less doing his best to keep it in check - though at the same time fully audible. He turned his attention momentarily to Carver and scratched the impeccably shaven chin of his with the gloved fingers of his left hand. "Maple Falls? There have been awfully many places named that over the years. What world or plane of existence are you from? That might help pinpoint the location a bit better." The thiefling paused for a moment - as if he had just noticed that some introductions had happened. "Ah, Carver, was it?" The fellow ran the fingers of his left hand through his hair and straightened his back - taking a more regal stance. "I am Ramius Kastagir, a master bard extraordinaire - in fact one of the fabled Magna Alumnae - back in good old Waterdeep." For his introductions Ramius used a far more powerful voice that seemed to more fit him.

Willow snorted quietly at this new person who she didn't recognize. She scanned him and counted the amount of money she could make swiping just one thing. Her hands stayed on top of the table, still working through the food she had placed for herself. She didn't need any more trouble especially after she just came back to her home. You don't bring trouble into your home. So she stayed where she was and hitched her shoulders against all the thoughts that came raining down on her to take and steal and to go back to the life she lived so recently.

Ayeka is wondering has some instrest in her or he is just being nice to her. She nods as she pours a pint of whiskey for Magna. Then she pours a cold glass of water for him, "I hope you enjoy your drinks." She. Starts to wipe down the counter to make sure it is clean as she listen to anyone conversation to pick up any kind of information. She is sorry for not helping Carver to get back home, to her some people did stay here for awhile.

The room seemed to spin ever so slightly around Hardwick. Every step he took was careful and deliberate, every movement measured so as not to send him crashing to the floor again. Goddamn. What the hell was in that drink?

It seemed like an eternity before he reached the immaculate mahogany counter. The barmaid, Ayeka, was busy polishing the surface of the wood with an old rag. Surely she'd know something about this place.

Hardwick cleared his throat and produced a pencil and notebook. ''Scuse me ma'am, sorry for the interruption. Do you mind if I ask you a few questions about this place?'
