Azurael grinned to herself as she woke up the next morning. She had enjoyed the work and enjoyed bantering with the purple winged Damien. She ate her breakfast after putting her quarters in order. Azurael then went to the control room.

True to her word she wasn't wearing her armour. Instead she was had donned a pair of black slacks, a baby blue turtle neck, and some black oxfords.

She sat down at her station and began her work.

Damien followed along shortly after.

The two acknowledged each other with a brief exchange of insults before knuckling down.

It wasn't too long before Sasha stormed in, and was about to live up to the royal brat impression she gave some people. "AZURAEL! What do you think you are up to!? You will come with me and do the duties you have neglected for the last day or so! Then you will be placed under arrest."

"No. I do believe I was offered and accepted the offer of citizenship with the Demon kingdom. I am not under your rule any more. Find someone else to take advantage of and run into the ground."

By the look on her face it was evident nobody have ever dared to speak to Sasha like that.

Both the General and the Prince were also present that morning, and both looked up when Sasha began throwing her tantrum. General T'vor made a start, but Sephiroth held him back and approached the Princess.

He frowned. "So, the Angels send some diplomat to bargain with us for the shared use of our ships to take us from Genesis, to which we agreed, and now you cause us much trouble and attempt to disrupt our lives by arresting one of our citizens? You and your people are rather thankless, I believe." Clearly, he was a bit annoyed. He pointed at the workers around the room.
"You may be a princess, but you have no jurisdiction while my men strive to make sure that your royal skin gets transported safely. Not while you live under my asylum. So with all due respect, your Majesty, begone, while my mood is yet fair."

The General came to stand beside his Lord, arms crossed, to stare at the Princess with a stony expression. "Shall I escort her out, my Lord?" He asked.

"No. She knows where the door is." He replied acidly, then turned and walked away, rolling up his sleeves. He approached Azurael and Damien. "I see you two are getting along quite well. My General wasn't too hard on you, I hope?" He inquired as he opened a storage unit to rummage around.

General T'vor continued to stare down the Princess.

Sasha scarpered, she knew better than to fight a losing battle. She would fight this battle another day.

"No, not at all. He is excellent to work under." Azurael responded to Sephiroth, and she meant it to.

Azurael did wonder if the princess knew how to pick her battles. On earth the Demons would likely have the upper hand. Their technology would likely trump the Angel magic if concealment was a priority. Besides a war on Terran soil would be unlikely to enamour them to the native inhabitants.

"Good." Sephiroth nodded, pulling out a toolbox. "I hear he wants to give you a better job as soon as the position is open. Something about needing a Guard Captain. You should ask him about it when you get the chance. He seems to think it would befit your skills far better than being an assistant engineer."

He took the toolbox over to one of the stations, whose monitor apparantly was malfuntioning, and so he went to work on it.

"Wait... What? Why me? I clearly wasn't that good even on the Angel Guard." Azurael said, shocked and dumbfounded.

Damien looked somewhat upset that he would not have some-one to banter with as much as he liked. He was pleasantly surprised that one of the Angel guard would be so friendly with Demons.

Azurael looked at the General at a complete loss for words. "Um" was all Azurael could say.

Sephiroth looked up from his work. "After I explained what had occurred earlier today to my General, we agreed that you'd been sorely taken advantage of. As Captain, you would, naturally, take your orders from him directly, but you would also have a small command of your own. I don't know much about the details, Highwind will have to fill you in on the details." Sephiroth told her. He went back to work.

Hearing his name used, the General turned to listen to the tail-end of Sephiroth's words, then noticed Azurael's dropped-jaw expression.
"Relax, Stormy, it's nothing special. If anything it's just an easier way for me to keep an eye on you. You get to have a job that's more familiar to you, and I get to see just how good--or bad--you really are." He told her.

"I would be honored then to accept your job offer." Azurael replied to T'vor. She did quirk an eyebrow at his comments though. She bit back any of her own smart aleck remarks.

Her mind flickered back to Grim. She'd have to thank him for directing her towards the demons. Under her breath and nearly inaudibly she whispered "Thank you Grim".

"Oh, it's no trouble at all, dearie!" Grim's voice cackled. The reaper was standing in the doorway, but then he entered, allowing the door to slide shut behind him. Under the angel's hood, he wore a wide grin, revealing long, pearl-white teeth. He had unusually sharp canines, as though he had at one time filed them down into sharp points.

T'vor's head snapped around to fix his gaze on the strange man, his hand hovering just within reach of his shortspear.

Sephiroth merely raised an eyebrow. "I hope you aren't here for the souls of anyone I know." He said mildly.

"Not today, Sephiroth, not today. T'vor, you can put your hand down, you know. You don't really think you can kill me, do you?" The angel turned his wide grin on T'vor, however, the General did not move.

Grim grinned even wider, if that were even possible, before leaning against the nearest wall. "I am just keeping my reputation right now." He paused for effect, then suddenly dropped the grin. "Actually, the souls have no need of my care for the moment, so I got bored. Figured the living would have something more entertaining going on. Which has proven true."

"Dear Grim, it is so nice to see you" Azurael said, although he still creeped her out a little.

"The only thing that can kill you is your own scythe, or willing stepping down and allowing another to take your place." Azurael said.

"The living always have drama. As for the Angel Princess, hmm. But perhaps she will become a good ruler in time."

"Hehehe...if you only knew, my dear Azurael. If you only knew..." he cackled for some time. "I know things about the future that would make you choke to death on your own tears of laughter. And then I would have to haul your soul away prematurely, so I think I won't tell you."

"That's probably wise." Sephiroth said. He looked to Azurael. "You've had dealings with the Grim, have you?"

"I have indeed, Lord Sephiroth. Grim was the one who pointed me towards you. Something I would never have thought of doing."

Azurael gave Grim an odd look at his remark, it was a cross between admiration, mirth, and apphrension.

"Solar winds incoming. I advise all crew members and passengers to buckle down securely" One of the demons at a monitor announced over the intercom. Azurael and Damien followed the advice, and Sasha did too - Sasha of course moping in her quarters. Light tremors began to shake the ship slowly getting more and more intense.

Sephiroth nodded to the General. "Highwind." He said by way of farewell.

"Crescent." T'vor replied. The two of them went their separate ways. T'vor took his place at one of the consoles.

Sephiroth, meanwhile, left the room.

Grim, on the other hand, continued to lean casually against the wall, still grinning, despite his title. He was drumming two sets of long, boney fingers together in a plotting way. "This will be fun." He noted.

"Approaching Terra in T minus 72 hours" A demon announced once the worst of the tremors had passed and they were around the other side of Sol, the sun, that Terra orbited.

"I hear the inhabitants of this Solar system aren't imaginative with naming thier celestial objects 'Earth is Earth, they rarely call it Terra, their moon is called Moon, they don't call thier sun Sol very much, they call their sun the Sun, so on and so forth." Damien said to Azurael. Just before realised Azurael had gone rather green around the gills as the saying goes.

Azurael unbuckled her seat in a hurry and raced to a garbage disposal chute and vomited down it.

Azurael was not the only person on board to do so. She went to say something after she finished but leaned back over the chute and emptied the rest of the contents out of her stomach. "Gross." Azurael muttered after she was done and drank a copious amount of water to rid her mouth of the taste. She grabbed a tissue from her and wiped her mouth with it before throwing the tissue down the chute.

"Ew" Damien said.

T'vor continued to monitor his screen for a moment or two, then swiveled in his chair to cast his hidden gaze at the deathly Angel that continued to stand idly in the doorway. There was a frown on T'vor's face.
"Do you have some other business here, Grim? Surely my navigators are not so incompetent that someone here is going to die."

Grim turned his ever-present grin on the General.
"Oh no, General. You have very competent pilots. And even if someone here was going to die, I couldn't tell you. Customer confidentiality and all that." He sniggered at his own joke.

T'vor's frown did not change. He didn't seem to appreciate the Grim's sense of humor.
"Right." He turned towards Azurael.
"If you get motion-sick, why didn't you see the physician? Or have you no faith our school of medicine?"

Azurael, still somewhat green around the gills, gave T'vor an odd look. Something like a cross between embarrassment and emotional pain. "I never had time, remember? Also it was a matter of wrongful pride. A weather witch getting air-sick? Imagine that!?" Azurael said the last part with a half smile.

"Why are you here?" Azurael asked Grim. She hoped he wouldn't make any comment towards her air-sickness.

Damien looked on in interest. The Reaper petrified him and he felt sure that Grim wasn't saying something. Or it was probably the creepy death-like atmosphere emanating off the Angel. Damien decided that rather than looking at the creepy, and quite frankly frightening, Angel he would busy himself with the controls and display in front of him.

Grim turned his pointy-toothed smile on Azurael.
"Why so curious, miss Azurael?" He responded to her query with another query. He sniggered.
"Accidents do sometimes happen you know..." He added in an ominously suggestive tone. Looking around the room at the sudden uneasy glances being cast his way, his grin grew somewhat broader.
"Actually, I'm coming along because the realm of the dead must be relocated. I must find a suitable spot on Terra in which to relocate it to. Originally, it was located on Genesis, but, well, we all know about the situation there. So, I need to move it down to Terra. The dead are very excited about this new development, which is a nice change. They rarely get to have any fun, you know. Of course, there's always the ones that like to go Haunting when they're very bored, but I can't let them out and about for very long. You see, they would get too attatched to the loving world again, and then they would start causing me some trouble, so...Ah, but I'm digressing. I do enjoy a good chat with someone from the living realm." His grin became sheepish, and he rubbed the back of his head in embarrassment.

The General's expression did not change.
"If you are quite finished, Grim, then I am sending Stormy to the infirmary to recover."

"Ah, yes, al'Talvor, quite finished. Hehe." Grim replied.

The corners of T'vor's mouth turned down slightly in a mild frown. He pointedly gestured at Azurael. "Go."

"Yes, General" Azurael said.

She had been quite interested in what Grim was saying. From what he said and how he came across to her was that hi 'creepiness' was merely apart of his job. She also figured that he seemed to care quite a lot about his job, and his charges - the souls of the dead.

Azurael got up and paused as she walked by the Angel. "Should you ever wish for another chat to break up your boredom, or just because you feel like one, I will be here for you." Azurael said sincerely. She meant the offer.

Azurael continued on her way to the infirmary. She went over to the young three winged demon and announced "General T'vor sent me. Airsickness."

The short adolescent demon looked up from another patient that was currently sacked out on a medical bed.

"Ain't you that Angel princess's bodyguard? The hell you taking orders from T'vor for?" She laughed. Clearly she had not yet been apprised of the current political status of the ship.
"Anyhow, lemme see what I got." She bounced over to a cabinet and started rummaging through things.
"Oh yeah, siddown somewhere; bed, chair, whatever. How ironic! Never heard of an Angel that was airsick!" She giggled at that. She seemed to be a highly energetic young lass.
"Totally normal for demons, ya'know, maybe somethin' to do with our love of techno-thingamawhatsits and junk. But totally not normal for Angels. Oh, whoops, that didn't make you feel any better about it, did it? Heh, my bad." She shot Azurael an embarrassed grin.
"I say though, it's about bloody time you lot understood how useful my medicine is! I mean really--what would happen if you had a whole load of dying Angel warriors on the battlefield and all your medics were on the verge of exhausting their energy trying to heal them all? Half of 'em would die, let me tell you. You lot could benefit from this kind of knowledge, you know!"
The young demon jogged back over to Azurael with a strange device that had a vial of some brightly-colored liquid attatched to the top.
"This is just gonna poke you with a teeny-weeny little needle. Yep, it's gonna sting, but it's way more preferable to puking every half hour, right? Yeah. Oh yeah, I'm Ariadel, by the way. You can call me that or any variation of it, I don't care. What's your name? Oh yeah, and why were you being bullied by that giant komodo, anyway?" Ari continued to spout even as she casually stuck Azurael's arm with the contraption. One could assume that by 'giant komodo' she was referring to the General.

Azurael decided to answer Ari's statement one by one. Having been in stressful situations before allowed to be somewhat proficient in dealing with queries coming at her left, right, and center.

"No, I am not the bodyguard of Her Royal Childishness. I was fired and on threat of execution or worse I defected to Demon citizenship."
"Yes, it happens. More often than you might think."
"You have a point about the medicine. Our race is far too proud, or at the very least most of my kind is."

Azurael discovered a new fear. Having had healers with the Angels she had never needed to be poked with a needle. "OW!" She roared, mostly out of fright. The guard looked on the verge of tears. "That was mean." She said in a small voice. She left the last query unanswered as she was surprised by the needle.

"I told you it was gonna sting, geez. You know for a supposedly hard-core warrior you sure do whine like a four-year-old. This little thing is nothing! Not even kid Demons cry about these. But then again, I suppose you lot don't let your children play with fellhounds or let them wrestle gristletooths when they're barely old enough to walk, do you?" She paused as if expecting a particular reaction out of her, then she grinned.
"I'm kidding, we don't actually do that either. I'm just giving you a bad time, hahaha. No worries, since it'll be risky to use magic on Terra for obvious reasons, I have a feeling this isn't the last time you'll get poked by one of these. You'll get over it. Well! You're all set to go! You should start to feel better in about forty-five minutes. Sorry, demonic medicine is considerably slower to show results than Angel magic. In the meantime, I'd suggest you stay near an accessible bathroom until you do feel better. Now shoo. Try not to give me a reason to poke you some more, yeah? This stuff is expensive and time-consuming to process!"
