Good news, everyone!
We're All Gonna Die is a simple, diceless RPG. Here's its origins + rules : http://cavalorn.livejournal.com/241167.html
And he's the RP thread.
Basically, I will be your GM, and you will create a character, along with maybe 3 or 4 other players, and we will embark on a role playing adventure. Well, more of a movie horror kind of thing. Your character will have four strengths and two weaknesses, and instead of a dice roll, I'll decide what happens based on your character's strengths and weaknesses.
For example, your character arrives in a situation where he has to swim to safety. If you put swimming in his strength, then he'll probably survive...for now. If you put swimming in his weaknesses.. well.. heh. If you didn't put swimming anywhere, well I'll probably do a coin toss, or think of something. Up to me. Heck, that's fair since I won't be playing as a character anyway.
So! If you're interested, the first round of this will be in this setting:
You and your friends go for an adventure to Europe! Sadly, due to some sort of screw up with your travel agency, you end up in a remote village. Weird, huh? Still, when you arrive, the village is fine, and you get to stay in a cabin at the outskirts! That travel agency screwed up, but you can still save this vacay. If you're cool with unconventional zombies, and other kinds of cannibals.
So! If you're interested, fill this up!
Name:
Sex:
Age:
Personality (optional):
Some Backstory (optional. You guys should discuss how your characters know each other either IC or OOC):
Strengths (Try to be specific and not choose a lot of wide scope skills e.g. combat. Instead, choose something like brawling, or wrestling, or firearms.)
1.
2.
3.
4.
Weaknesses (Try to have sensible weaknesses. Having weaknesses doesn't mean it's crippling, but phobias are welcome. Try something like "Sucks at directions" or something solid like "swimming". Yeah, I'm not good at swimming.)
1.
2.
Backpack (Just put items in. I'd love it if you're reasonable with the items and not try to cram a lot of stuff that it becomes weird. Bring stuff that your character should be bringing. Like clothes. Cash. Food. A death ray.)
Here's an example character I made just now.
Name: Huey Farnsworth
Sex: Male
Age: 80
Personality (optional): Crazy old man
Some Backstory (optional. You guys should discuss how your characters know each other either IC or OOC):
Just a crazy old man. The backstory is, he's a crazy old man.
Strengths (Try to be specific and not choose a lot of wide scope skills e.g. combat. Instead, choose something like brawling, or wrestling, or firearms.)
1. Chemistry
2. Physics
3. Driving
4. Seducing women of all ages
Weaknesses (Try to have sensible weaknesses. Having weaknesses doesn't mean it's crippling, but phobias are welcome. Try something like "Sucks at directions" or something solid like "swimming". Yeah, I'm not good at swimming.)
1. Swimming
2. Frail body
Luggage:
A bottle of Good News Herbal Supplement x4
I'm looking for 3 to 4 people, especially since this is just a trial run. We'll discuss more rules once we get enough. For now it's first post first served, but I'm hoping for a balance of 2 males and 2 females, though it doesn't matter that much.
