Highschool of the Dead: Trapped

It was a normal day at Fujimi Academy. Students were in their lessons, teachers were passing on their knowledge. Others were skipping, and hiding in one of the schools many side paths, toilets or in other places that teachers wouldn't find them, hopefully. Outside, however, something much more sinister was taking place. A deadly virus was sweeping through the population, turning them into flesh-eating monsters who preyed on the living. Eventually, the hordes of undead made their way to the school, and into the grounds, devouring anybody foolish enough to get in their way. Since nobody had any idea of what was going to happen, nobody was prepared, and the entire school, faculty included, went into meltdown. Students pushed, stamped, shoved and kicked each other out the way to get to the exits, only to be met by hungry zombies. Soon enough, only a handful of people remained, heavily outnumbered, with no way to escape...

You are one of these survivors. Surrounded by hundreds, if not thousands, of the undead. You must choose between life and death, giving up or fighting on. Will you find a way out or hand yourself over to the ravenous hordes?

Overview

The main focus of this roleplay are students and teachers who have grouped together or decided to go it alone during the outbreak. The setting is Fujimi Academy, where the players are trapped due to all exits being cut off by massive groups of the undead. This does not mean you can't attempt an escape, just it will be extremely hard.

5. Please do not hesitate to come to me for any help, or give me constructive criticism. I welcome it!
6. I am not picky about character sheets. As long as it's readable, and you have a basic understanding of English, you'll be fine.

Personality:
Before the deadly virus that swept through the population, Ayano was part of the student council. She was known to be hardworking, smart, and capable. She was also known for her short-temper and strict personality, and you would always find her fighting delinquents. Her friends would often tell her to be more "feminine" but she would always dismiss them and tell them it was pathetic. Ayano was very bold and straightforward. After the virus, she watched all of her friends turn into flesh-eating monsters and watched them get killed one by one. This was a huge blow to her psychologically, and the trauma makes her too afraid to fight. She suffers from serious emotional and psychological trauma, causing her to experience panic attacks.

Background:
Ayano was an independent girl who lived alone in a condominium. Both her parents worked overseas, and she had to start living independently since the start of highschool. Because of this, she was very responsible and hated seeing other people slack off. Atthough she seemed harsh and aggressive at first glance, she had a lot of friends because of her good and caring personality.

Personality:
Aiko was a very carefree individual, although quite talented and academically gifted; she has skipped a year ahead, as she would've been in her final year of junior high. Nevertheless, she was very caring and cheerful amongst her peers, always laughing with them and somehow sticking out as "the short girl" of the group. When the outbreak hit, however, Aiko became braver and more protective, difficult as that may be; being as tiny as she is. She is very weak physically, though mentally she has dealt with the outbreak a lot more headstrong than her friends. She is also somewhat nimble, which helps her rush past the undead a lot more easily.

Background:
Aiko was part of the art club, expressing herself artistically and even winning a few competitions! In school, she was nearly top of the class, but when approached for more important positions like class representative, she would often decline. She just wanted to be a normal girl, having fun with her normal friends without having any more responsibilities than she had to. At home, she had a loving mom and a busy dad, and a 3 year old younger sister who she would always play with after school.

Anna is your typical gung ho, cheeseburger eatin, "taste my shiny metal shotgun barrel you zombie fuck!", all american bada-

Actually, she's none of those things (okay, maybe the cheeseburger part..). Anna has a strong, leadership type of personality. While constantly skeptical of both people and her environment, she is fairly friendly and willing to help those she thinks she can save. The horror she has witnessed has, of course, put a damper on things to say the least, but she's not focused on that for now. For now, she's keeping her cool and is going through the motions to get out alive.

Background:
Anna was born in the United States and grew up there much of her life. She's a southerner of sorts, growing up in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Through much of her early life, she was very much a tomboy. Being raised by her father and no one else probably didn't help her become more "lady-like". She hunted, fished, and went to the shooting range from time to time. By her early teens, she began to get more into photography as a hobby, almost as a direct response to what she called the "hipster photography plague". More importantly, however, she was much more interested in the outside world.

Living in a small, seasonal coastal town drove her insane. Anna wanted to do so much more than just go to school, hangout, then go to bed every day. As part of a state and federal effort of expanding opportunities in education, an exchange program opened up for her school. Upon hearing about it, this was the adventure Anna had been waiting for. So, despite barely ever learning about Japan, or even speaking a word of Japanese, she ended up being the only one in her school to sign up for it.

Of course, Anna was chosen, and she was sent off at the beginning of her Junior year. And as one might expect, during the beginning, she had an incredibly hard time. From barely understanding what her tests said to the weird, unknown social rules and pressures, it was a challenge to say the least. Yet, despite this, she rose to it, learning quickly and making friends that would help her through it.

When the virus broke out, Anna saw things she would never forget. Right now its... its all a blur to her. A whirlwind of blood, violence, and screams. Now she sits in the 2b classroom... silently cursing her decision to come to this country.

Maya has a very relaxed personality, she always just seems so bored and is wanting some amusement for herself. She never idealized for any lovers, despite being asked multiples times with her turning them down every single time. She would usually just listen to some J-Rock music in her spare time, she isn't even considered a serious student by anybody. Most of the time Maya would just skip class and go to the rooftop to hang out, it was like her little bubble that nobody would go into. Maya can come off as scary to some people, due to all of her earrings on her left ear, as well as the accessories with skulls and spikes on them. Deep down under her somewhat scary attire, she is actually a nice person, only if you're on her good side that is.

Maya would just sit on the rooftop and have a little bit of her candy stash that she brings into school everyday, she was always found out and scolded by the teachers though. Yes she continued to do it anyways. When it came to them, she wasn't believing it at first, but came to terms with it like some of the video games that she had played. But this time, there weren't extra lives.

It's either live. Or die.

Background
Maya was born in Japan by her two American parents, they had moved there when Maya's mother was 6 months pregnant, and decided to make Japan their home for a long time. At an early age, Maya was diagnosed with brain cancer and had been in hospital for most of her childhood years. She barely ever went to school due to how fatal her condition was getting, she never met any friends, it was just her mother and father who were with her. When Maya was 10 she had left the hospital as her condition had improved vastly, but she was always told that it may one day come back to her. Maya had been worried about it coming back for about two years, being paranoid about it, but after a while she eventually got over it and accepted it. Maya eventually went back to school when she was twelve, starting to learn more and more about the world that she barely even had to see.

Maya eventually came across Gothic Lolita fashion, she was fascinated by it and wished to look like the ones who she saw in the images online. She then started to get the clothing, earrings and accessories necessary to complete her look, but for some time after that she just felt... empty. She had been this way since present time, she had no feelings for anything, and had barely any friends. Her grades were failing as well, so she knew that she wasn't going to get anywhere near university, she didn't even know what she wanted to do as a job. But when they hit, a hint of terror and excitement had filled her up.

Personality & Background:
"Cat" which she prefers to go by, is a free independent spirit strongly set in her views, most would say she's a rebellious, ignorant, self-righteous, irresponsible, tomboyish, troublemaker who only looks out for number one & rebels against any form of authority. Well maybe some of that... sometimes... but to most who know her she's actually a very caring, Intelligent, very thoughtful person who looks-out for & jumps to others defense if the situation warrants which often results in her getting into trouble from adults who don't see the whole story & automatically assume the worst. She Keeps a calm head in most situations, however she really dislikes being isolated for long periods of time. dislikes being singled out & picked on / yelled at.

At home She's at odds with her father due to him wanting her not be in a rock band and to focus solely on school stuff as she was held back a year in her last school back in the uk more out of laziness then lack of intelligence though. At school she's become sort of a loner with few social friends (from different classes) She stood up to people bullying others in her class which often came to blows as a result, the bullies instead began solely focusing their efforts on her out of revenge when it became known Cat was a lesbian which when first confronted she admitted shamelessly & proudly to her class, shortly before beating down the person trying to instigate the class into bullying her. She's Actually well liked & admired by most of her class but fear of bullying by association from certain classmates keep most from openly talking with her. All of the bullying is like water of a ducks back to Catherine as long as it stays verbal the physical attempts are the ones she responds in force to however the isolation in class does secretly get to her at times.

Owns & drives a second-hand beat-up dark grey van which she keeps a lot of clothing, snacks, fruit drinks, her electric guitar, it's amp, battery packs & wires, Cat is the designated driver for her band going to any gigs they book, a good driver too, even if her foots a lil too heavy on the gas from time to time... also has half a dozen outstanding parking tickets in the glove box.
