~Kaede and Marise Asano~
"Marise! Dinner's almost ready~" Kaede called out, echoing through her house. Upon getting no response, Kaede gave a small huff, pouring the pasta she had just finished making into a bowl. Being in the mood for italian tonight, she had been working on this masterpiece of a dish for the better part of a half hour. She reached over, casually placing the pan to the side of the counter. She grabbed a few containers of seasoning, pouring them carefully on the dish, using her dexterity to easily make sure to pour the right amount.
With that done, she slid the dish down the opposite end of the counter, the bowl full of Carbonara pasta slid to a halt, just before hitting the wall. It probably looked as good as it smelled, despite being a rather simple dish. Aside from the noodles, it was topped with a zesty tomato based sauce along with a sprinkling of cheese and a few other seasonings. She didn't seem to be quite done, however - as she looked at the oven.
The bread in question - a Basil, Tomato, & garlic filled Pan Bianco. Not exactly one of the more creative things she's ever made, since she got the recipe right off the internet, but what the hell. Anything she made was sure to come out perfect. Smiling happily to herself, she grabbed the oven mitts, and pulled out the bread, setting it on the counter.
Well, tonight's dinner was done, then! She dexterously picked up the bread and the pasta, balancing both in her right hand, picking up a bottle of wine and a glass with her other. A 1995 Chateau Lafite - some of the good, expensive stuff. She received it as part of a payment for a recent...job. Some might question her drinking it now, but well, she had some idea of what she wanted to do with it.
She placed the Pasta and bread on the table in one quick motion, giving a bit of a sigh. Marise wasn't here yet. Where was that girl even at? It was then she noticed two legs hanging off the edge of the living room couch. With a somewhat amused smile, she walked over - apparently she fell asleep while watching the news.
"Marise~" She called out, taking a seat on the arm of the couch. Getting no response from the girl, Kaede rubbed her chin thoughtfully, before a somewhat mischievous smile donned on her face. She walked over to the sink, filling a glass with water, before promptly walking back...and pouring said water on her little sister.
"I swear it wasn't me who killed the guy!" She jolted, up, right on the couch.
"...is there something you'd like to tell me, Marise?" Kaede teased with an amused smile.
"Huh? Wha-...oh. Kaede. Uh, just a...dream." She chuckled.
"Sounds like it was riveting." She replied, taking the glass back over to the counter replacing it. "Dinners ready, Marise. I'm surprised the smell didn't wake you. Normally you'd be trying to eat it before I even got done."
"Oh, uh, thanks, sis...and uh, I didn't get much sleep last night."
"Oh? Has my little Marise finally started doing grown up things I should know about?" Kaede teased further.
"Bwuah?" Marise replied, furiously blushing. "N-no! I-I was out...doing...hanging with...just stuff." This earned a small laugh from Kaede. "Besides, shouldn't you be resting? You've worked late every day this week..."
"Oh, don't worry about me, Marise." She replied, walking over to her little sister, giving her a pat on the head. She was well of her sisters late night gallivanting around. Sometimes she had seen her messing around places when she was off doing...her things. "I'm going to go upstairs with this expensive bottle of wine, take a nice, hot shower followed by a relaxing bubble bath. I suppose you could say, I'm going to be dead to the world for the next hour or so~"
"...oh, uh, well have fun with that, then...the food looks great, by the way." Marise said, as she got a plate. "Uhm...what about you? Are you going to eat anything?"
"After the bubble bath, maybe. You enjoy it for now, watch the news or something. Might be something interesting, on." With the bottle of expensive wine in hand, she headed up stairs to the shower, unlocking the door and stepping inside...before swiftly locking it again.
Soon, Marise heard the sound of the shower, some classical music her sister liked listening too, not suspecting a thing. Beethoven's 4th or something, she thought. Whatever, wasn't her thing really. She flipped on the news, like Kaede had suggested. Normally she wouldn't care all that much, and flipped to something else...but something about a murder caught her attention. Someone was shot in the head. Huh, well, that was fun.
Kaede locked the door behind her with a tired sigh. Honestly? She was a bit pissed. Goddamn, she had gotten a bit careless. Not only had there been a fight in her home, Marise almost found out. She was able to get away with it, though - her room was currently locked as well. The place was an absolute mess. She'd work on cleaning it up as soon as Marise went out on her little late night adventures. She'd probably go, regardless of how tired she was. If not, she'd just have to do it while she was asleep.
But anyways, back to the matter at hand.
With a bored sigh, she turned on the fan that was supposed to be use to help clear the room of steam. It hummed to life easily enough. Second, she turned on a small radio that happened to be conveniently placed in the shower - she did like actually listening to music. Call her the stereotypical psychopath, but she did in fact enjoy Beethoven. Soon, his fourth symphony sprang to life in the bathroom. With that out of the way, she went about doing what she really came up here to do. She walked over to the shower, and pulled back the curtain...
there, in a plastic tub, was one of her targets. This one had some guts to actually try and fight her himself - go on the offensive as they say. Well, it ended rather poorly for him, in the grand scheme of things. His face had almost been completely melted off by acid, and the rest of him wasn't fairing any better. Several parts of his body, her acid had eaten right through his skin - right through the bones. A few limbs were only hanging on by a few threads of flesh.
...really, her power was a rather nasty one, sometimes.
Either way, she had to get rid of the body. The easiest way to do it? Dissolve it with her acid. It would take a few hours - hence why she had locked the door and told Marise that she'd be 'dead' to the world for the most part. A bit of dark humor on her part. She turned on the cold water, not wanting to waste the hot water. Thankfully, her acid could easily dissolve most of the human body quite easily. In fact, that's what it was best at. It could eat through metal, too, but it seemed specifically designed to eat through human flesh and bone.
First, she let the plastic tub fill with water. Next, she turned the water inside of it to acid. Next, while the body began sizzling and starting to turn into a messy goop of human remains, she put the lid back on so if it started to smell, it would mostly be sealed.
...now, all she had to do was wait. She might have to empty the plastic tub once or twice. It was time consuming, but she couldn't just have her power activated the entire time the shower was running, so letting it soak for a bit in a plastic tub of acid was the best way she could go about it.
Well, whatever the case she was going to be cooped up here for a few hours. With a sigh as the body started sizzling from the acid, she took a seat on the sink counter, and poured a glass of the expensive wine she had bought with her, and picked up a book she had laid there earlier today. A book on some serial killer that used sulfuric acid in the 1940's to dissolve his victims...his took up to two days to get rid of, and the smell was horrible.
She smiled somewhat darkly. Whatever acid she was able to use, was much better than his, it seemed, since it could melt human bodies completely in a few hours, if they were completely soaked in it. It shouldn't take more than that, at least, for the entire body to dissolve and be washed down the drain....
She took a sip of the wine, before giving a relaxed sigh.
"Ahh~ Nothing decompresses like a glass of expensive wine~" With a happy smile, she flipped a page in the book.
