Spybuster What Could Go Wrong?

Even after several days, the hunter couldn't help but feel cautious of the individuals that came to answer his call. From the edge of the dock, the worn man gazed out over the cold ocean. He felt the misty breeze blow across his face, and the smell of the ocean air filled his nostrils. As snow began to fall from the gray skies above, William contemplated the uneasy alliance that he had formed, and the enemies that he made along the way by doing so. It was certain the consequences of his actions would catch up to him eventually, but he could only pray that it would come when he was past his time. When the world would no longer need a tainted hunter like him. William took in one final deep breath of air before turning to head back into town. Adorned in his hunting gear, the man made a distinct sound as he moved about the town. It was easy to hear the rattle of the chain that ran along his arm and attached to the shield on his back with each step he took. The wood creaked and groaned under his boots as he made his way across.

William arrived at the pathway and continued to head straight. He intended to keep watch by the entrance, in case there were more hunters arriving, or unwanted company. Though the man wondered why he bothered, for the first few were a surprise when they arrived. As the hunter stood watch, he thought back to the new faces he had met in these last few days. The first to arrive had been a Lycan named Henryk and a Vampire by the name of Rama. It felt unusual greeting the afflicted, and offering to shake their hands instead of taking their heads, but that was nothing more than a past life to William, and it was something he felt he shouldn't dwell on. At first, he was worried the two would feud with eachother, but so far they seemed to be coexisting without issue. The next to arrive was another vampire by the name of Eva. She was a Lycan hunter, much like him, and he felt she would be a welcomed addition to this newly formed hunting party. More arrivals followed after the second day, and greeted William throughout the day. Egbert, who was the first to arrive that day, entered the small village armed and dangerous. Just by looking at him, William knew the man carried a heavy burden, and not because of the large tank of fuel on his back. Later on in the day, he met Ivory, whom he welcomed into the town. Two human hunters in one day. To William, that meant that his message did not fall on deaf ears with other humans.

Again, William stood watch at the entrance of the village, waiting to see if more individuals would arrive at such a late hour. In between watches and waiting, he took naps in the dock house, which appeared to be where the man lived. William kept the door locked whenever he left the structure, in case someone ever thought of searching through his belongings. These people may be his new hunting partners, but for now they were still strangers, and not long ago potential enemies as well. Napping and keeping watch over the last few days hadn't given him any real time to socialize with any of the new arrivals. Tonight however, he planned to leave his post early to assemble these hunters in the old town hall for a meeting. For now however, he had a job to do. The man continued to keep watch, the subtle sound of metal rattling when he shifted his body.

Rama was among the first to arrive.

His initial appearance was a bit unsettling, considered that he was soaked from the head-down in dried flecks of blood. He had just recently finished a Hunt in Jamaica, and took a boat quite a ways to where he was to rendezvous with the rest of the Hunters.

I mean, who wouldn't be giving a second glance at a million-dollar yacht absolutely littered with dozens of corpses?

To explain the massacre, Rama had to explain through whatever splutters of English he could muster up that most of the bodies were from the underlings that had all rushed in once the vampire (unsurprisingly a newly made one) had panicked and fired off a flare, so...

Well, there was little left to say. The bodies were either dumped, if they were too rotten, or shoved inside for consumption.

Rama won't be hungry for a while, at least.

For the past few days, Ryan had been traveling across the United States in search of werewolves. Starting in California, he had gone through Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and was now currently on the coast of Maine. It had cost a fortune in gas and yet he still hadn't found a single one. Low on money, food, and gas, Ryan was at the brink of calling home and asking his dad to forgive him and let him return home before he starved out in the middle of nowhere. That is, until he saw a strange rumor on the forums of a website he used to try and gain information on his prey. It claimed that, only a few miles away from where he currently was, there was an abandoned fishing village where hunters would be meeting up. That's it! I haven't found any werewolves because I don't know how to find them. I've just been using Yahoo Answers and Wikipedia so far, but if I can get help from other people who do it professionally than I'm sure to rack up some kills. What his source of information failed to mention, was the fact that not all of the hunters gathering would be completely human. It wouldn't matter that much though, as he couldn't tell the difference between a human and werewolf's human form if he tried, let alone a human and a vampire.

One hour later and Ryan's red pick-up finally couldn't go another inch. After parking it on the side of the road, he got out and kicked the tire in frustration. "Not now! I'm so close!" he shouted. Checking his phone, he looked at the GPS to see how much farther it would be to walk. The battery on the small device soon ran dry, but not before he saw the words "15 minutes" in small white font. "Dang it! Well, no going back now. Fifteen minutes isn't too bad. I could probably push this thing the rest of the way." It'd be much better than just leaving a $10,000 car on the side of the road. Even if it's so old and beat up that it belongs in a junk yard instead of on the road.

And so he got behind the tailgate and began to push, and push, and push. No matter how much strength he put in it though, it wouldn't budge. "What gives?" he asked himself. Only after another five minutes wasted on pushing the immovable object did he realize the problem. "Probably should put it in neutral if I want push it, huh?" So Ryan moved toward the car door, shifted the gear into neutral, got behind the truck again, and gave it a good shove. That's when he realized his second mistake, not staying in the driver's seat to have access to the steering wheel and brakes. As the empty car rolled down the road and out of sight, Ryan just watched in silent awe at his screw up. "Well, I don't have to push it now. Hopefully no one takes my guns or anything. I don't think I left anything else of value inside." The red-haired teen then began his smell trek toward the rendezvous of hunters on foot, with his solid red hoodie making him stand out in his mostly gray surroundings. His hands stuffed in his pockets, he passed the time by trying to remember the words to Bad Moon Rising by Creedence Clearwater Revival.

It had been a long journey, especially considering its inception had been spawned by a rumor and a whim. Still, what point was there to life if one didn't indulge in whims once in a while? In Ingrid's case, 'once in a while' had translated to 'nearly every day for the past one-hundred-or-so years', but that was just how she was wired. She'd heard the rumors about an old Hunter gathering a rather... diverse set of allies through one of her many 'colleagues'. Working as a mercenary, she'd met plenty of people with access to a wide variety of information, and one such person had stumbled upon information regarding the village she was now approaching. She'd had to take a flight to reach her current destination, as she'd been in Europe at the time, but crossing the ocean seemed a small obstacle for a chance at real excitement. From there, a pair of friends had driven her most of the way. They knew what she was, and as friends, they trusted her. Even so, the thought of pulling into a colony of vampires and lycans had been a bit much, so they'd dropped her off a few miles away. Better safe than sorry. She'd laughed about that.

After being dropped off, Ingrid had set off down the road, happily trotting along and humming to herself. The red-haired girl held a large suitcase made of black leather in her right hand as she walked. It held a number of things she'd thought she might need: clothes, a laptop, her 'food', and a compact assault rifle with several magazines of ammunition. As she walked along, cheerfully humming and swinging her arms, she rounded a corner to see a very confused looking young man watching his truck roll away. Being that they were practically in the middle of nowhere, she assumed him to be someone else who had answered the call. With a new briskness, she skipped over to the redheaded fellow. "Hi there, that yours?" She pointed towards the empty road which the truck had just rolled down with her free hand as she turned to face the man.

A young looking girl with jet black hair and red eyes makes her way walking along the trail that is covered with a light layer of snow. Her footsteps make a small crunch under her slender feet. Over her head is a large black hood of a long thick cloak that trails almost to her ankles. The girl's height is unimpressive but she seems to glide over the snow. Only her footsteps are proof she isn't actually skating over the trail.

Letting her eyes slowly slip up to the sky she winces as the brightness of the sky still seems to be a bit much. Its nothing but white in all directions. When she looks down it seems that there is an entrance of some kind to a village. Hopefully this is where she needs to go. The red of her eyes give off a slight reddish glow and suddenly she see's the world in a new light. Everything from her sense of smell to the hairs on her arm actively seek out blood. She identifies at least six perhaps more people in that village. Her nose picked up the scent of humans, vampires and werewolves. It was rather odd to see all of them together in one place. Just what on earth was going to be happening with this group. Her message at least had been somewhat vague though she hoped that it would out for the best.

As she got closer and closer she kept her hand hidden under her cloak. Her fingertips begin to blacken as blood rushes to them. She didn't plan on doing anything but she also didn't plan on being ambushed easily if this was a trap. She continued this way till she reached the entrance of the village and saw everyone else that had arrived. She didn't approach any of them but watched silently at a safe distance.

It was cold.

It was a rather odd thing for Ivory to silently complain about, considering she lived in Alaska for a majority of her life, but she could never get used to the chilly temperatures. Normally she would have found shelter in one of the abandoned buildings within the fishing village, but she was much too uneasy to remain in one place for too long. What else was to be expected from an uneasy hunter, though? Being in the same general area of beasts that her bloodline had hunted for centuries wasn't exactly the most comforting, so instead she took to moving about frequently and investigating the abandoned village.

Now she stood on the coast, her gaze caught on a familiar figure at the end of the dock. She had questioned whether he was truly just an insane old man, perhaps driven mad from a hunt gone wrong, or perhaps a blood transfusion. But the more she thought about it, the more she wondered if she was the one who lost her sanity. After all, she chose to come.

A wet nose poked at Ivory's hand, and the sudden contact brought her back from her thoughts. She blinked. The figure had vanished. Ivory glanced down at the companion by her side, his nose still touching her palm. It was hard to remember, but the hunter wasn't the only one who felt uneasy about this whole idea. It undoubtedly left Tikaani confused and unsure as well.

After giving her companion a reassuring pat, she pulled her scarf over her nose and tucked her hands into her pockets. It was much too cold to stay by the ocean, and she'd rather not stay by the water longer than she had to. So she continued on with her stroll. Only this time she had a destination, and that was the bar. It was in better shape than many of the buildings in the village, and undoubtedly warmer. With some luck, the others wouldn't have jumped to that conclusion yet.

And warmer it was, something she was thankful for the moment she stepped inside. With a sigh of relief she took a seat at the bar and slipped off her crossbow and holster, placing them on the countertop. She chose to carry the weapon everywhere with her now-- there was no way in hell she was going to let it out of her sight at this point. Tikaani took his place at her feet, and the two relaxed, glad to be out of the cold and finally given a moment of peace.

Ryan stopped in his tracks as he heard a feminine voice moving toward him. Next him now stood a pale, redheaded girl pointing down the road to where his truck had disappeared to. He responded by nodding to her question. "Sure is, er, was now. Hopefully it doesn't crash into anything or, even worse, cause any injuries," he continued. "I also hope that no one takes any of my stuff. All that's really of any value is my guns and ammo, but what's a hunter without his weapons?" He gave a light chuckle at this statement before making a loud sigh.

It was then that he remembered this person was a complete stranger and he hadn't really introduced himself. "Name's Ryan by the way. Friends call me, well, Ryan. Pretty hard to come up with a nickname for a name so short. So, you here for the big gathering of hunters, too?" he said. Ryan purposefully kept out the part about what they were hunting in case his assumption was wrong, though considering where they were he couldn't think of anything else this woman could be here for. He had learned from past experience that telling a random stranger you are a werewolf hunter usually ends with pepper spray to the eyes and being battered by old ladies' purses. Oh man was that a fun day. Seriously, even if I was crazy and werewolves didn't exist, those women totally overreacted.

William continued to watch the road, waiting for any more would be arrivals to show themselves. The man sighed to himself after a short while. The night so far had been both quiet and calm, and the man turned his back to the road. He wanted to start the meeting before it became too late, however the man didn't make it more than three steeps away from where he stood watch before he came to another halt. At first it was distant, a rather subtle sound that only grew louder as seconds passed. The old hunter turned to face the road again, noticing a peculiar red truck rolling down the road and into town. As the car slowed to a stop beside him, William slowly circled the car, checking the interior through the windows. The car was filled with weapons and ammo. Its owner however was no where to be seen. He doubted that it had been abandoned. William glanced down the road, unstrapping his axe from his belt, the hunter cautiously followed road out of town. With a flick of his axe, the shaft extended out and locked into place. His grip tightened on the axe as he took hold of it with both hands, ready to hack at any would-be threats.

The chain on his shield continued to rattle as he slowly paced himself up the hill. Once he reached the top, he saw two figures standing ahead of him. The worn hunter still held his axe at the ready as he approached them. He stopped about fifteen feet away from, and looked them both over carefully. "We wouldn't happen to be lost here would we?" He asked them. The hunter's stance became more relaxed, but that still didn't change the fact that he was holding an axe. "Odd hours to be out hiking strangers, or did the truck that just rolled itself into my 'establishment' belong to you two?"

Henryk leaned against the wall of one of the villages abandoned buildings, eyeing William as he walked past to his usual post. Henryk's arrival a few days ago was meet by William's greeting, the man had assumed Henryk was there to join his hunting group he intended to form here, In truth it was the rumors that he'd been tainted that had drawn him here. He saw that, while William had beast blood in him, it was not as bad as the rumors made it out to be. He wound up staying in the village and soon others followed his arrival. A vampire hunter, Rama, came soon after him, Henryk could smell the vampire blood in him but did do much more about his presence than keep an eye on him. It was yet another Vampire that had arrived after him which drew a similar response from Henryk. A man named Egbert had appeared next, Henryk could recognize the look in that man's eye, that he was out for blood, Henryk had that look himself when his town was destroyed. After him came another human, a girl by the name of Ivory, when she had arrived Henryk's normally stoic expression had turned to one of shocked recognition for a mere second before it reverted back. He remembered her from a few years ago, she and her father had been hunting and had come across him while he was in his lycan form on a hunt of his own. He had tried to get away, having no desire to fight with the two, but they pursued him and in defense he retaliated. The result had left a mortal wound in the girl's father, Henryk fled soon after. She didn't recognize him in his normal form and he thought it better that it remain so...at least for now.

He looked up again when he heard something near the path and saw a truck with no apparent owner at the end of the path by William. He took up his own axe and walked over as Hendrick went up the path to investigate. He glanced inside the truck himself before looking up the path after William as he walked out of sight. He stood at the path on guard listening for anything to approach.

Ingrid chuckled at the man's explanation. "Probably not something you'd want to push away in the future then." Her eyes glanced down the road for a moment before returning to the conversation at hand. "I wouldn't worry too much about it hitting anybody, didn't seem to be goin' too fast." Even if it had been, she imagined the people in the camp had faced much worse than an unoccupied vehicle. When the young man introduced himself, Ingrid extended her free hand with a grin, a grin that showed a particularly sharp set of canines. "Pleasure to meet you Ryan. The name's Ingrid, Ingrid Venn." She giggled again at the nickname comment. "I dunno, I've had my share of nicknames, some tend to be longer than your real name... especially the unflattering ones." For what was supposed to be a cold-blooded killer, the girl was unusually chipper. After introducing herself, the young woman nodded. "Aye, I'm here for this meeting, and I suppose I am a hunter of sorts.

As she spoke to Ryan, the vampire noticed a rattling sound growing nearer and nearer to their location. Eventually, a figure came into sight. He was a tall man, somewhat intimidating even, but that had more to do with the axe in his hand than his height. A grin still on her face, Ingrid's hand fell to casually rest at her left hip as she turned toward the newcomer. As he called out to them, her smile only widened. So it was his 'establishment'. "Oi, hi there. I wouldn't say we're lost, I do believe we're actually heading to your establishment at the moment." She still sounded unusually cheery. "Ryan here met with a little... um... misfortune. I imagine that was his truck, unless some other driver-less car decided to head that direction." She laughed at her own joke. "So you're the one in charge of this whole operation then, right?"

William released a sigh of relief. He felt it safe to assume these two were just more hunters trying to reach his camp. He gave his axe another flick and angled the bladed edge towards the ground, which allowed the shaft to retract and return to its previous state. "Aye, I'm the one in charge around here. The one and only William Hendrick, but you can call me 'Captain' if that suits your fancy more." The worn hunter said with a slight welcoming smile. "And lad," William said, glancing at Ryan. "You'll be happy to hear that your vehicle has roosted itself comfortably in my town." He strapped his axe back onto his belt, turned towards the town again and started walking. He beckoned the two to follow him.

"We're not far from the town. Just a short little walk is ahead of us now." He stated to the two following him. It was easy to see the details of the shield that rested comfortably on his back from behind him. The painted image of a wolf's decapitated head was clearly visible on the center of it. "Anyways miss, you told me the boys name, but what about you? You got a name or something I should call you by?" William asked, only glancing slightly over his should to look at the woman. A few minutes later, the small group would reach the town, finding Henryk near the pathway.

"Ah, Henryk! Glad to see someone took my post while I was gone." William said as he approached the hunter. "You two make yourselves at home somewhere. Just don't get too comfortable, we'll be having a meeting in a short bit." He stated to Ryan and Ingrid, before turning to face Henryk again. "While I was gone, you didn't happen to see anyone else arrive did you?" William asked the Lycan.

Roze felt happiness rush through her, a feeling she had figured wouldn't ever be returning to her after the past couple of weeks. Peering at the town in the distance, with lights flickering here and there in the old buildings. Shelter. That usually meant food and warmth.

Hopefully I get food, and not become it for once. Roze thought to herself, hoisting her bag more securely on her shoulder. Her back and shoulders were killing her, what with walking for so long with such a heavy load. She would quite happily kill someone for a hot shower. Hell, she could settle on lukewarm - it would probably feel like lava either way after this cold weather.

The snow had been falling steadily since she made it to north-eastern New York, and the cold had just become more and more biting the further she headed north. She had managed to find shelter most nights - a lot of people simply felt sorry for her and let her bunk in their homes, or even their barns. But Maine didn't have as many villages and small towns as New York or Vermont - which meant more camping out in old mines, trees, and self-made (fairly crappy) wooden shelters. Fair to say, Roze was feeling pretty miserable, right until she crested that final hill.
And there was the fishing village below her.

As she descended the hill, some of the happiness began to ebb somewhat at the thought of her future fellows-in-arms. Vampires and Lycans would be here.
And they sure did enjoy the smell of her blood.
Even demons were attracted to it. Although thankful in not encountering any of the latter two on her lonesome road here, she had encountered a couple of Vampires who hadn't seen her as much of a threat. Although not killing them, several were missing teeth and fingers - one of them missing something just *slightly* more important. She doubted that that appendage would be growing back anytime soon.

"Well Thane... I finally made it." Roze muttered to herself as she neared the town, the hill and the road now behind her.
"Wish you were here. She added silently, and she fell to a stop a couple of paces short of the four stood at the border of the village. Two older men, one boy, and one girl. The girl was clearly a Vampire - Roze had been around enough of them by now to recognize one at sight. The boy was a human - and looked awfully innocent looking for the job at hand. The two men were definitely more stoic, and more intimidating - and although she couldn't be certain - they weren't entirely human.

She stood in silence for a few moments before directing her shrewd gaze to the guy in the duster and hat.

"Hey there John Wayne." She began with a smile. "You still accepting hunters?"

Egbert stank to high heaven. The sewers were his transport from place to place, every time he emerged a band of mercenaries was sure to follow, his brother's connections and wealth at work. The sewers were still dangerous however, many ancients stalked these pipes, avoiding the sun, and people, as their appearance was no longer quite human. A sewer was not the best place to fight a vampire, ideal for their blood magic, bursts of speed or strength, and no way to avoid them. Sometimes they hardened their blood into spikes. However, a flame thrower got rid of these issues, as no vampire would run through a wall of fire to get a bit of blood. Years of killing vampires made Egbert just as good at killing humans, they were easier, they bled to death, they died when chopped in half. Mercenaries were tough, but a bit of tactics, and they were all dead. But it was enough of a hassle that Egbert avoided it.

He heard of William's invitation via the pocket of an electricity worker, who also happened to be a vampire. The man had kept the location of the town on a slip of paper in his breast pocket, and Egbert decided that meeting with other hunters might be a way to finally kill his brother. He travelled through the sewers as usual, following a blueprint of the sewers to find his way, although getting lost was inevitable.

He emerged from the sewers a day ago, and the village bothered him as soon as he arrived. The abandoned buildings were everywhere, the sewers didn't even fully reach it, he emerged in Maine, and had to rent a boat with what little money he had. He didn't mind anyone who arrived later, although the smell of rot from the vampires bothered him, they usually covered it up with perfume, but these hunting vampires seemed not to care. He stayed away from the newcomers, as he didn't want to get attached to people, lest they betray him. So he sat, staring into the ocean, thinking.

"You haven't even seen half of what I can do, brother."

Henryk stood on the path until William returned from the road with a few new hunters in tow, and he assumed that at least one was the owner of the truck. As the group approached he let out a short low growl at the scent of another vampire, the girl he'd returned with. he nodded at them as they passed into the village before looking back to William to answer his question "not to many, there's that girl just behind you..." he pointed behind William just as a the girl approached, calling him John Wayne and asking if he was still accepting hunters. "...and i can smell someone lurking from just out of sight" he said as his eye drifted over the treeline and hand drifted down to his blunderbuss.

Ingrid smiled as the grizzled man accepted them as allies. He introduced himself, and they set off towards the village. Still seemingly carefree, Ingrid followed along, almost skipping with excitement. As they walked, the hunter asked her name. "It's Ingrid, Captain, Ingrid Venn, though you're more than welcome to imagine up some other name if it suits your fancy more." She chuckled and continued the trek until they reached the entrance of the village. It was by all accounts what she'd been told: little more than a rickety fishing village. It was quaint, quiet, and would never have led one to believe something otherworldly was going on inside. In that respect, Ingrid decided, the Captain had chosen the perfect location.

Another man stood guarding the entrance, and let out a growl as they approached, leading Ingrid to stare, somewhat rudely, in his direction for a moment. Like the Captain, he gave the impression that he had more than a bit of experience under his belt. It was fascinating. Everyone here seemed to recognize what she was at a glance. Most people she'd encountered seemed to accept that she was human, well, at least if they didn't hang around her too long. The Captain told them to make themselves at home, and that the meeting would be starting soon. "Sounds good, I'll be looking forward to it."

As he left them to their business, another hunter approached. She seemed human, as far as Ingrid could tell. As she greeted the Captain, Ingrid quietly snickered. Good, a sense of humor. As they entered the village, she began to look around. She noted, among other things, the presence of Ryan's truck. "Looks like it made it safe and sound." She motioned towards the rusted pickup. Perhaps 'safe and sound' was giving it a bit too much credit. Her eyes scanned around the village, and she noted a few hunters that had already arrived. She noticed an older man staring off into the sea, and a girl with a dog disappearing into a large building nearby. It seemed the Captain's request had caught the ear of more than a few.

"Behind me eh?" William replied to Henryk, glancing over his shoulder, to notice the girl. He gave a slight smirk at the name she had given him for a short noticeable moment. "Well howdy miss. As a matter of fact, I am still welcoming more folks to this run-down corner of the Earth." William replied to the woman. "If you're here for the hunt, then I welcome you to stay." He gave a tip of his hat to the woman before turning to face Henryk again. His expression changed from a welcoming smile to something much more serious. William, although he was sure this was common for most people, didn't like being watched. "Well if your senses are true, then it would be best we stay on our guard. I've made more than enough enemies by doing what I have." The Captain said to Henryk, in a somewhat hushed tone.

The hunter glanced back at the treeline for a moment, but he could not make out anything unusual with his mortal eyes. "Hmm.." He shook his head and continued into town. The man headed into the town hall, and found that the building had grown to be rather dark again once the sun had started to set. He removed a match from his pocket, igniting the flame by quickly scraping it along the striker. William had left candles lining the middle walkway and along the walls for when the hours grew late. He went from candle to candle, lighting each and every one of them. The interior lit up with a warm glow. Once that part was done, he took one of the seats in the front row, and removed a crumpled piece of paper from his pocket. The man sat silently in the building, looking over the contents of what appeared to be an old letter. The meeting would be soon now that everything was in order, but he wanted to wait a little longer to see if this mysterious stranger off in the bushes would reveal themselves as friend or foe.

Ryan had decided to stay mostly silent as Ingrid, whose name he only now just learned, and William, a very intimidating man, introduced themselves to each other. He only gave a small nod when his name was spoken. Once that was done with, he quickened his pace to his truck to make sure it hadn't been messed with. Everything seems to be here."I'm glad no one got hurt. I probably would have never been able to forgive myself." Ryan climbed into the driver's seat, stuck his left leg out the door, and began to push the truck toward a better parking spot than the middle of town.

After putting the truck in park next to one of the collapsed buildings nearby, Ryan grabbed his backpack filled with ammo and his three guns. Berettas now holstered on his belt, Remington slung over his shoulder, and backpack strapped to his back, he made his way to the porch of the building and sat down. Ryan looked over the town now that there was nothing else on his mind. This place is... a dump. I guess I shouldn't have expected anything fancy. We don't want to advertise to every monster out there that this is our HQ. Now, where can I get some food?

Hefty paws quickly flattened the mulched earth, gentle puffs of breath emerging as eyes of mixed sapphire and emerald fluttered over the surrounding terrain. Tree's scattered about her provided cover from sight as she continued the same distanced route around slowly filling fishing town that seemed to have caught her interest. Darkened nasal passages of onyx tones pulled at the air as nasal bridge crinkled upon quick notice of further intrusion of more hunters, some human and some vampires. As mass of pelt shuddered over form disgusted grunt of breath would be emerged, paws shifting as she continued to move swiftly unsure whether to make approach and make herself known or to stay her distance and remain out of sight for a longer period of time.

"Why are there so many?" a gentle whispered tone would slide through Acacia's mind, sure there weren't that many, but it was still more than she expected when she set out on her decision.

As the sound of chatter from short greetings caught her attention Acacia decided to remain a short distance off, still hidden within the brush and tree-line as she caught quick glimpses of dispersing person's into buildings, only one remaining in site as he sat on porch deck with backpack and holstered weapons. Ears flattened for short moment as she stared in his direction, form standing side on to tree-line as she flickered glances about noticing barely anyone was left in sight. Shifting partially a small ray of light from the gloom of sky above would cast a gleam upon a small section of brightly toned fur before settling, if anyone was paying attention surely something would be noticed, although not noticing herself Ace remained where she was contemplating approach whilst remaining hushed.

Ryan continued sitting out on the porch of the collapsed building as he "admired" the nature around him. Man, one thing I do miss about home is being able to just lock myself indoors with a good video game and not worry about all of these flesh-eating bugs and burning Sun. He swatted at the small, irritable insect that was crawling up his arm as he looked over to the setting sun. It was slowly descending below the treeline, almost as if to mock the young man for complaining about the star when it was practically out of view. Okay, fine. The Sun's not bad right now, but if it was in the middle of the day I'm sure I'd be getting a sunburn right now... Actually, it's pretty cool here compared to how hot it was at home back West. Whatever. Why am I arguing with myself? Stop that.

The red-haired, young man slumped forward. He rested his chin on his right hand as his elbow rested on his knee, a noticeably bored expression on his face. For trained werewolf hunters, I was really expecting... more. Maybe things will kick off the next day once more people have shown up? It was then that Ryan took notice of the female werewolf some distance away, hiding in some bushes. The lycan's bright red fur gave her away quite easily considering the very green foliage around her. As if in a trance, Ryan began to make his way to the wolf, only stopping a few feet away. "Hey girl," he said as he stuck his hand out for her to sniff in hopes of gaining her trust. "Come here, I won't hurt you," he continued. It was now that Acacia and anybody close enough to see what he was doing would probably realize that the poor fool had mistaken the girl's wolf form for a just a normal dog. Face palms would be the most expected reaction.

While the two were still getting to know one another, a haggard man, quite positively dripping with water, walked right on by. Not that it helped with washing out the blood that had set into his jacket.

He was trying to pick out his teeth, which included the vampires' signature set of canines, with his tongue, so there was flash of some nasty bits of flesh here or there.

Most unorthodox...

@Spybuster@DrowsyPangolin@Zetsuko@MiddleEarthRoze

It would come to most people's surprise that something of a hobo came walking in, except for the fact that whoever was a Lycan would probably scent out that he was a vampire, if they could get past the near-overpowering stench of blood.

The man simply sat by the window, and casually took out his machete before setting it on the floor.

And then another, from his sleeve.

And then another...

...and another...

By the time he was done, he was considerably thinner than anyone could quite remember, though most of the thanks could be given to the fact that his jacket had so much capacity. He was probably a hunter, come to think of it. But what exactly needed so many blades to kill? He certainly could've used other, more efficient tools if he was to be killing humans too, but...
